CHAPTER 30

CHAPTER THIRTY
COLLIN’S POV
My gaze followed her perfect round ass, loving how it bounced slightly as she paced about in front of me in bare feet. It was no shame that even in the worst of situations, all I wanted was to grab her, pushed her against the wall, smack her hard in the ass, and mark her fucking body with my tongue. Any straight man was bound to swoon over her. She vibrated with sexiness and damn! I’ve never had a woman affect me as much as she did.

“How long is she going to be like that?” Nadia questioned as she stopped pacing.

“I can’t predict just yet,” I answered but I was unable to tear my gaze from her ass.

“Are you seriously staring at my ass right now?” She retorted, her palms falling against her thighs.

“Can you blame me? You are modelling in front of me, “I smirked.

I had never seen someone look that edible when she was angry to the point that she seemed like she could bite anyone’s head off at the slightest provocation.

“Modelling? My friend is lying unconscious in a fucking glass cage and tied up with some metal chains as if she is an animal and all you can think of, is my ass?” She snapped.

I had sent Danny and Jaden out of the room, leaving just the two of us in the house. Trina was tied up in my basement as we watched through a glass wall separating us. My father had made this basement specifically for newly turning wolves and wolves that go out of control. It had been two fucking hours, but Trina had barely moved and if it were not for her chest moving steadily in rhythm, it would have been easy to conclude she was dead. But Jaden was a pretty efficient doctor and after he had checked and treated Trina’s wound, he had declared, she’d heal once the transformation started. He had however taken a sample of her blood for his own further investigation in his apartment in the park house. What a nerd!

“You know I can take off some of the edge, right?” I teased as I leaned back on the dark leather couch I was sitting on.

“Huh! How does your pack even survive under you?” she huffed as she eventually walked over, sitting at the edge of the couch, a few paces away from me.

“It is the strongest park in Woodcave. So I’d say, pretty great,” I answered with a slight shrug.

“I should call Mrs. Heathers,” she said as she retrieved her phone.

“And you think she’d step in here? That woman hates my kind and if she got a chance to destroy us all at once at the expense of her own life, she’d do it,”

“Yeah, someone that shares the exact amount of hate I hold for you kind. Your kind is just ravenous animals that cause pain and agony,” And the venomous hate for my kind was back in her voice. I had almost forgotten about the part where she hated my kind.

“Whoa! Slow down Nadia. Yeah, we are quiet animalistic especially in bed but not all of us are as heartless as you describe us to be. You’d be surprise as to how many of us are more human than werewolf. To be honest, I’m pretty proud of being a werewolf because the benefits are quiet a load full,” I answered.

“So you are proud to be killers? “Her eyes were tainted with something dark, almost mixed with pain. I could smell the pain and hatred running in her veins.

“Killers? Something happened to you, didn’t it?”

For a split of a second, I recognize vulnerability in her eyes but she stood up instantly, with her phone in her hand,” I’m going to call Mrs. Heathers,”

After she had disappeared, I leaned back on the couch, several thoughts crossing my mind. She was hiding something but I was going to find it out. My gaze fell on the unconscious woman still lying on the floor. I had never known someone to stay out that long especially when she was about to transform to a werewolf. I was disrupted by the rushed entrance of Jaden and Danny. They both wore panicked expressions that made me narrow my eyes.

“There is no hint of transformation and it’s been two hours already,” I pointed out, standing up.

“That’s because I don’t think she is a normal werewolf,”

“What do you mean?” I questioned, a small frown creeping up my face.

“I know you said you smelt the Alpha of creek Moon Pack’s scent on her but I don’t think that was right. Maybe they just crossed way or something but I don’t think he bit her. Or if it is indeed Xander who is responsible for it, then maybe he is not a normal werewolf either. The other explanation would have been maybe she was not a normal human being but we all know she was very mortal,” Jaden explained.

“Can get down to the specifics?” I stated in a very impatient tone.

“Okay. So I did a careful analysis on the blood sample I took from her and there was something off about her blood cells. They almost seemed dead but very much alive. The werewolf venom had indeed spread but there was vampire venom in her blood too. Instead of rejecting each other like they were supposed to, they were sort of mixing and blending into one,”

“V-Vampire venom?” That did not sound right.

“Yes,”

“So what exactly are you saying? There are vampires that broke the contract and are now running freely in Woodcave, biting mortals?” I questioned. None of it made sense and if vampires had truly walked into Woodcave, I would have known about it.

“No. That woman was bitten by a hybrid Werewolf. So she is going to turn into a hybrid but she can’t unless we kill her to activate her vampire side first,” Jaden explained.

“Hybrid? Hybrids were an abomination and there hasn’t been a hybrid since the early 1800 after their massacre,”

“Well, there is one now,” Danny said with a slight flicker of his arms.

“So now not only do we have a killer on the loose but we also have a hybrid running around in Woodcave turning people,” I grin at my hair in frustration as I hit the wall with my fist.
