CHAPTER 29

CHAPTER TWENTY NINE
“Pick up! Pick up! Pick up!” I chanted in agitation but Sasha was still not picking up her phone for probably the hundredth time since I started calling. Why had I hoped that her phone would not be in silent mode like she always likes to put it every time we graced a club?

“Ugh!!” I grunted in frustration, letting the phone slip off my hand, falling on my lap.

Collins barely chuckled lightly, keeping his attention on the road. How was he even calm bout this? May friend was going to turn into some creature and he was even in the least worried about. As a matter of fact, he seemed to be enjoying this.

“Why would someone just decide to bite my friend?” I seethed under my teeth.

“Well, I’m not sure but don’t worry, whoever this wolf is, we’ll be dealt because that’s a breach of the rules,”

“Where exactly are we going? Or are you just going to turn me too?” I questioned, shrugging lightly.

“Do you me want to? I mean, you have no idea just how off the top sex between wolves could be,” I was trying to make an actual point and fucking was all they could think about?

“Can you just be serious for once Collins? My friend is lying in the back seat, turning into whatever you are and I have no fucking clue where you are taking us and still all you can think about fucking?” I bit in frustration. I had never known one man before to put me on the edge of my nerves like Collins did. Nothing could compare to how much I wanted to snap his fucking head right after I probably ride him. Fuck these insane thoughts in my head because they were messing me up.

“Can you blame me when you are wearing that dress?” He smirked ever so sexily as he navigated the car into what looked like a group of pretty lavish houses.

“I didn’t wear it for you,”

“You are quiet a feisty one, aren’t you?” he smiled as he pulled the car to a stop outside the houses. Several people walk around as though they were manning the place but they didn’t seem to have any sort of weapon with them.

“Where the hell are we? I questioned as two rather good looking guys began rushing our way.

“At my park house. Don’t worry, nothing will happen to you,” He answered, stepping out of the car with me following.

“Collins,” One of the two guys spoke, casting a suspicious glance towards me. I was the one who should be looking at him like that; not the other way round.

“Ethan,” Collins addressed the man who had just spoken.

“Why the fuck did you bring a mortal into our park house? You know the rules Collins, and being an Alpha doesn’t give you the right to just break them any way you want,” Ethan retorted.

“Chill out Ethan. You think I’d bring a mortal here if it was not important? I need you to call the hospital and ask for Jaden. I need him ASAP just in case something goes wrong,” Collins ordered.

“Wait, if something goes wrong? What could possibly be worse than my best friend turning into one of you?” This was getting more infuriating by the second and knowing that Trina was rendered helpless at the moment and I could not do anything about it, made me even angrier.

“Well, not every werewolf survives the transition,” he shrugged lightly.

“And by not surviving, what exactly do you mean?” I questioned, fingers crossed that it meant she won’t be turning into one of those creatures.

“She dies but not to be too much of a pessimist, keep up some hope,” he signaled to the other werewolf standing silently by Ethan and together, they gently lifted Trina out of the car.

“And you are telling me that now?” He was the definition of impossible.

“It must have slipped my mind,”

“I’ll be keeping my eye on you, Mortal,” Ethan scoffed but then walked away, probably to carry out Collins’s instructions.

“Don’t worry, he’ll warm up to you eventually. Though it’s not something I can promise,” Collins smirked as they headed to an even more lavish house with my hurrying behind them. Other werewolves or I assumed were werewolves, glared at me and I could have sworn I heard a few of them growl. It was pretty nerving and well, I could not deny how they were all freaking me out.

Well, his house was just as lavish on the inside. They laid the unconscious Trina on the table, right after Collins pushed the multiple Men’s health magazines off it.

“Trevor, get Danny for me and Nadia, grab a pair of cuffs from the bottom drawer of my dresser,” he gestured into his room as he got rid of his coat. The other werewolf had sped right out. For a second, I got transfixed by how his muscles flexed under that t-shirt and he must have noticed because a swoon worthy grin touched his lips.

“Those cuffs are not for you Nadia. So quit looking at me like you want me to take you right on this fucking table. We are at a real life crisis here in case you forgot,”

No smart comeback seemed to be at the tip of my tongue this time, so I just scoffed then headed to the room he had pointed, a string of cusses falling off my lips. A surprised scream left my lips and in an instant, Collins was in the room.

“Why the fuck do you have a naked woman tied on your bed?” I snapped as the naked woman turned to look at me.

“Forget about her. Grab the spare cuffs from my drawer and lets go save your friend, that is if she’ll survive the transition,” He shrugged as though it was a normal thing.

“So what are you now? His new play toy for the night?” The woman bit back rather nastily.

“Just shut the fuck up Laila! One more word and I might just rip you apart, you skank!” Maybe it was the rage in his voice but I did have to stagger back a bit. This was the second time in one night he was losing his temper.
