Chapter 12: How Did She Do It?

Alpha Aiden POV

I could not resist the spell casted on me to sleep, I don’t know why but when I thought it was my imagination, I was shocked to smell Naomi around me, she came to my rescue and I don’t know how she did it, I woke up and kissed her just like we both needed it at that time.
I struggled to be awake but it got to an extent I fainted just like that and found myself in my other world again, I could feel pains, wailing, blood and so many more taking place here.
I know as a werewolf when we give up we go to the other world in our heart to live and doing so simply means the physical body will be weakened and I didn’t expect this place to turn out like this.
“Red, why can’t I find you? Are you not here?”
“I am here Aiden, I am always inside you.”
“It’s good to know that I am not alone here, what a relief.” I added with a smile and walked around. I was not even familiar with what was happening, is this as a result of my deep sleep for a thousand years?
I suddenly got attacked by some werewolf and I had to fight, luckily Red helped me by struggling to come out of me but it was like what I was fighting was not seen after my first attack.
I found a flower around the place,I said out loud out of frustration, “Where am I? What happened to me? Why was I placed in a deep place for a thousand years? Who are my enemies?”
I stood looking at a spot for long only to discover the human was powerful enough to wake me up and give me food.
I know I am in my wolf state right now ,I called her name but is she not scared seeing my red eyes and my claws? She chatted with me, which I liked for the first time. I had to question myself, have I had such a conversation like this in ages? I finally realized I was not giving up but the powerful curse laid on me is fully active and making me this week, the curse plans to kill me.
I woke up again in a place surrounded by lots of werewolves and elders with no identity and I watched them laying the curse on me, they called me a demon wolf and I should be wiped out of existence and suddenly silver was tied around my neck, I struggled and ended up shifting into Red fully.
I made a loud howling and others did but what calmed me down a little was the smell of my mate, how did Naomi come into my sub consciousness when she is just a weak human? How did she do it?
I could hear whispers, these spells are not of now but of the old. I need to help her before she ends up dying here. I shifted into a human and saw lots of bruises caused by the silver on my body and it was killing me slowly.

Naomi saw me and she said out of shock,”OMG, you are wounded, I will treat you right now.”
She tried to help me out but I grabbed her hands saying, “Humans are too weak to be here, you need to leave right now.”
I noticed my claws were out, I had to hide them from her so I didn't scare her but instead she replied with no sign of fear.
“Don’t be a jerk Aiden, I want to help you that’s why I came.”
“How is this possible? Humans can’t come in here, is it because you are my mate?” I thought about it, only my mate and kinds like me can reach me here, also a powerful witch can do the same, how on earth did she come here?
“Can you stop talking?” I didn’t know why I had to be calm with her and I followed her to a building, I don’t want her to command me again so I did this out of my own will, she tried to treat me but I am not healing and she said,
“I think this is beyond me, we need to get a nurse to treat you.”
“Thank you for your attempt Naomi, but I doubt if a nurse can, I think I am cursed or something.” Unexpectedly she covered my mouth by kissing my lips and I love it because she is mine even if she is still refusing to accept the fact that she is my mate.
While kissing her, the urge to mark her came, my wolf form was excited and I said the words to her, “I want to mark you right now.”
“Just kiss me.” She said and I smiled and continued kissing about taking off our clothes. I sensed a threat and my number one priority is to protect my mate even if I have no clue if I once had a mate before. “Wait here.”
I stepped out and locked the door behind, I saw myself looking at me with a forceful look and he made use of his claws on me. I screamed in pain and I could hear her say, “Aiden, open up, what is happening?”
I had to use my strength to attack him but what I don’t understand is why am I fighting myself? Why does this new me look so bad and have the instinct to kill?
“Who are you? Why do you have my look?”
“I am you and you are me?” he replied and I got angry as I attacked him again but he was laughing at me,
Why is this happening to me? Did I let some wrong forces come into my other world, I need to get rid of him and return to Naomi.
He suddenly used his claws close to my heart and was laughing, saying, “When did you become so weak?” I was in serious pain and I passed out and I don’t know how long but I could smell a different werewolf around me.
I opened my eyes and saw a man treating me properly, “Who are you?”
“My name is Louis, Naomi called me saying there is an emergency, knowing you are my kind, I wanted to help but I doubt if she knows what we are.”’
“You are not an Alpha or a Beta, which pack do you belong to?”
“I was once a beta but I got demoted to being an omega due to some personal reasons so I am on my own and I save people's lives for a living. I could smell alpha blood, you are not just any Alpha but an immortal, how is it possible?”
“How do you know I am an immortal Alpha?”
“I just know because we are subjected to you, I thought we only had one immortal left of the Graham pack led by Alpha Ethan.” I heard a loud spin on my head and the pain was just too much. He calmed me down and I said to him, “I feel better now but would you believe me if I told you I don’t know who I am? I don’t know why I was mated to a human like Naomi, I don’t know how she came here to meet me and brought you.”
“I am done treating your wounds, I can’t answer all your questions in your mind right now, if I stay too long I might be trapped, I know you don’t know what Is happening now, you are dying and your mate is worried.”
“How can that be? I thought she didn't want me, she hated me calling her mate.”
“That’s because she doubt If our kinds exist, she believe is just a fantasy, I want you to leave here and return, I have a witch that can help you recover your memory and lastly, make sure you don’t lose your mate, when I came in, I had a short vision, she got beaten by our kinds and might lead to her death.”
“What? Who dares try that? I will reap out their heart.” I felt another loud spin on my head.
“Firstly, leave this place and return, we can talk more.”
“I know this is my place but I don’t know how to get out of here, I am like a lone wolf now, I feel a spell was cast on me or something, I don’t think I belong here.”
“Find the door out, Naomi is the key to open the door, I need to leave now, make sure you find your way out, no matter the spell used on you, if you get the key you can come out, no spell can control your world you build yourself except you chose to.” He said and left.
I think he is right, I might not know who I am, I might not know who laid a curse on my being and made me sleep but I know Naomi kissing me in a coffin Is not a coincidence, she might be the key I need.
I suddenly saw an old lady saying, “Naomi doesn’t need you, you demon wolf, you don’t deserve to live in this world, you bring pain, stay here and face the pain you have given to others.”
“You know what old lady, this is place and you are a stranger, you have no right to walk in here and tell me what to do, you casted the spell right to lock down my wolf form and also you the reason I came here making my place reject me, it's best I get rid of you now.” I managed to hit her with my claws but she had this evil smirk and I lost her, I searched for her but up to no avail, if I don’t kill her, I will continue to remain a lone wolf till I wake up but there is still hope, the doctor has a witch to help me, maybe she can uplift the spell.
I suddenly got the smell of my mate, smells like vanilla and it calmed me and I followed it. I noticed the whole place was changing even as I tried to look for her. I finally saw a door and I could see Naomi smiling at me saying, “The doctor said you will be awake tomorrow, better be awake.” She turned to leave with that same door and I followed her immediately but what I didn't understand was the fact I heard my voice and another Alpha like me talking and laughing, who could he be? He called me brother, do I have a brother? This was what lingered in my mind and then I could not remember what happened next.

I opened my eyes slowly and I felt someone's head resting on my chest and holding me so firmly, it was no other than Naomi, don’t tell me I am still seeing her or is this real? I scanned the whole place, it was indeed her room and she was breathing normally, I thought she didn't want me around, how come she is resting on my body.
I caressed her hair and she talked in her sleep saying, “I hate you Lucas, I hate you with passion, you betrayed me after everything.”
She is always calling the name Lucas, I will need to find out more about him. I noticed she was about to wake up and I closed my eyes again.
“What a beautiful morning, oh come on Naomi, why do you keep sleeping on his chest? This is so embarrassing.” She said and I smiled inside my heart.
A knock came at the door and she rushed to get it. I got angry when I heard a male voice, “Naomi, I got so worried about you, how are you feeling? These are for you.”
“What are you doing here? I told you not to come to my place.” Naomi said to him.
“I could not help it, I was worried.”
“Don’t touch me.” This is when I got angry and approached him, “Never in your life touch her otherwise I will kill you at once.” What just happened, why did I do this?
