Alpha Ethan POV

“Derek, meet me now with the others, we got some vampires to hunt.“ I said mind linking with him.

“Yes Alpha Ethan, in the next few minutes we will be with you.“

“Good.“

No one messes with my girl and goes Scot-free, not even the vampire clan.


I entered the woods and sensed the wolf hunters, immediately Derek with the rest of the packs was already with me.

“Derek, take down the wolf hunters immediately.“

“Yes, Alpha Ethan.“ He left to take care of the wolf hunters and returned with blood in his hands.

"Now let's draw out the vampire using the blood of the hunters as bait.“They all bowed as a sign that they respect my decision.

The trap was set but I was unhappy, I didn't get a large number of vampires, the ones who fell for the bait were just ten in number but one of them was laughing, “How dare you laugh? This is my land your kinds are coming in without permission, I am going to turn you all to dust, where is your master?“

“You can't find him, yes you can turn me to dust but you will never find him, he is going to destroy the lady who is someone special mate.“ immediately he said this, I knew he was referring to Naomi, this got me angry to kill him but my wolf form won't allow me, instead I ordered they take him to the house, lock him up with silver and make sure no slight mistake for him to escape at all.

I wash my hands and looked in the mirror, my red eyes were still glowing, I close them and opened them again to see, it was all gone now, time for me to see my mate in school, now I have done a little fight for her, if she finds out that I came out to defend her this way by killing many, she will always love and cherish me.

I returned to the school the same way I left and she was not in the office as usual, I remember, she has a class she is taking now, I will go check on her right there.

I concluded and headed to the class she was teaching and I stood by the door when she saw me, she smiled at me.

I watched her teach and when she finished she came out and hit me on my chest.

“Ouch, that hurt, but what was it for?“

“You left just like that, how? I turned around and could not find you any longer.“

“I can explain, I had something very important to attend to that's why I rushed out without telling you, besides I knew you were going to class.“

“Are you telling the truth?“ She asked.

“I will never lie to you and besides, you are a good teacher, and I am impressed.“

“Thank you, I get that a lot.“

“Shall we have lunch together, it's the break period.“

“Yes, we shall." We laughed together holding hands and laughing when Fred came to see her, “Please excuse me.“ She said and I nodded.

I refuse to make use of my distant hearing, I don't want anything to trigger my wolf side and I will not be able to control myself and this Fred again, I hate him so much.

After a few moments, she came to me saying, “Sorry for the delay, let's get going.“

“Sure, after you.“

We had dessert at the school cafeteria.

“So tell me, Naomi, do you have a boyfriend?“

“I will say yes and no.“ Her cheek turned red. Who could she be thinking of right now that is making her happy? I thought the other day at the house, she didn't take it seriously.

“Why do you have two answers?“ I questioned her.

“Well, I once had a boyfriend but we are no more together, that's the no part.“

“Okay, what about the yes part?“

“There is this guy, I am not sure he knows I have fallen for him.“ I hit the table and the plate broke, “Oh I am sorry, I didn't know playing with the table will result in this.“ I lied trying to control myself in her presence.

“Okay no problem at all, they will come and clear it, why not pay for the meals let's sit at the school park and talk a little.“

“Sure, that's perfect.“

Who could this guy be? Why will she be in love with someone else when she is mated to me? I need to find out who he is and get the person out of my way for good, I can't share my mate with any man on earth, she is mine to begin with.

“Are you okay Ethan?“ She tapped me.

“Yes I am okay, I am sorry, I just thought about something.“

“You don't have to apologize." She said to me,

“So what do you think of me?“

“I will say you might end up being best friends with me, what do you think about it? Then one of these days, I will invite the guy I am falling for to join us.“

I could feel the wolf in me wanting to burst out, I kept controlling myself in the process, she must not know that I am a werewolf at all costs.

My eyes might be red now, I acted like some stuff entered my eyes and used that as an excuse to get away from her just to calm myself a little.

I never knew a day like this will come that will make me so jealous and want to unleash my wolf form to kill the man stealing her from me.

I calmed myself and felt better again, so I went to her and changed the topic.

It was a great time I had to spend with her and I had to return home early before the closing hour telling her we will talk on the phone. Some police officers are in my house to search and I know so well they are wolf hunters in disguise as a police officer.



Naomi Jamieson POV




“Even you, you know what, forget we talk just go, I have class now.“ I said walking out on him but when I turned back to say how about lunch during the break period, he was nowhere to be found.


“Ethan, Ethan, are you there?“ I called and got no response from anyone. I searched for him and he was nowhere to be found, where could he have gone so quickly? Well, he will surely return to work except he is thinking of quitting.

I had up to four classes to take for today before my break period. I took the first three classes which was kind of stressful for me because it's been a while since I had classes straight in a row without breaking.

Taking the last class, he came to my class. I won't lie, Ethan is so handsome and sometimes I feel like having both Aiden and Ethan as my lover but am I insane to think of such a thing? The person I have fallen for is Aiden and I don't think I will fall for another when the time comes.

“So class, make sure you research the nine-tailed fox, and must be submitted next week Monday.“

“Yes, Miss Naomi.
“Good, we can call it a day.“ I ended the class and joined Ethan but said hi by hitting his chest.

“Ouch, that hurt, but what was it for?“ he asked.

“You left just like that, how? I turned around and could not find you any longer.“ I said.

His praise sweetened my heart and I smiled.
“Thank you, I get that a lot.“

“Shall we have lunch together, it's the break period.“ he said and I nodded.

“Yes, we shall."

I don't know how it happened but we ended up holding each other's hands when Fred came to me.

“Please excuse me.“ I went with Fred.

“Whatsup Fred? Everything okay?“

“I need you to be very careful Naomi.“

“Why?“
“You know I once told you about hurting wild animals in the woods?“ I nodded.

“They are harming humans again, these wild animals, look at the news, this just happened earlier today.“

I saw the news and it was an animal attack, could Aiden be a werewolf and he is killing wolf hunters? Does Fred know about the reality of werewolves as well?

Am I keeping a murderer in my house? But Aiden looks too simple and nice to do such, still the way he planned to kill the guy today , makes me think 60% that he is the murderer.
