Chapter 21: She Is Stubborn

Alpha Aiden POV

I don't know about my past life in detail but all I know, I have never seen a girl that is as stubborn as Naomi.
I told all the lies that I could think of to make sure she stopped thinking about the vampire she saw but it was difficult for her to take it.

I almost gave up and I planned to take a rest but immediately she offered, “Let's go eat dinner at a nearby restaurant.”


“Sure.” I accepted since it was the only option left to stop talking about the vampire she saw. She calls it a demon but it's best for her to know it that way.


A car came and took us to a place she described and I assumed this is where we are eating.

We had our seats and someone wearing a white and blue uniform came to talk about the food but Naomi was absent minded. ”Naomi, are you looking for someone here?”

“Yes, no, I mean no.” she stutters and looking in her eyes,I could tell she is lying to me.

“Okay,I am not familiar with the food of this generation.” I had to say this so she wouldn't laugh at me.


“Not a word,I will make the order but you just stay quiet okay." I kept quiet and listened to her.

She ordered some food which the waiter called Chinese rice, salad and more chicken sauce. I have eaten something like this in the past but it's just a little different.


I don't know why she is looking at me that way but I focus on my food.
After a few minutes,she questioned,
“Do you like the food?”
”Yes I do, but can I make a request?”


“Okay,I am all ears.”

“Can I get more red meat?” I miss eating red meat,this is what we werewolves love eating and I wish to get it.


“Red meat? You love red meat that much?”

“Yes I do and it makes me healthy as well.”

“I know the perfect place to get that,let’s finish eating and we go there, you will like it.”

“Okay let’s eat, and tell me if you feel any pain as well.”


“Don’t worry about me, like you said,I just slipped and fell though I don’t even remember how it happened but I know it is not a big deal so stop worrying about me.”

She started coughing like the food got choked,I rushed to give her water,I can't let any hurt happen to my Luna.
”Are you okay? Drink more water.”

“Excuse me.” She said and left me alone . I wondered if I said something wrong or I shouldn't have said anything at all.

I am trying to avoid her using her spells on me and this is the only way I can by trying to communicate with her at ease and respect her.

I waited for sometime,what could be keeping her so long. I heard her heartbeat beating so fast ,is she in danger? But I didn't smell any danger around. I need to check on her.

I saw the ladies toilet,I am so to go in but I need to make sure she is fine,let me just go in.

I entered and saw her shivering,I tapped her asking, ”Naomi, are you okay?”

Tears left her eyes as she opened them. ”I thought the demon was about to kill me.”

“Look at me Naomi, even if there is someone after your life, I promise you,I will not let them harm you,I will protect you as long as I am breathing.” I gave her my word as her mate.I know she might not know more about me,but this is my priority,to protect her at all times.

”Lets get red meat another night, now you need to get some rest.”

She didn't say a word to me and just kept looking at me,and she is so beautiful right now that I might just kiss her,make love to her and mark her in the process. I can't control myself anymore,I need to kiss her right now .

About to do it someone walked in and I stopped saying,"Meet me outside."

We got to the house and none of us spoke to each other Why am I feeling so weak when I am an Alpha? Is it because I am a lone wolf and I get to speak to Red on a few occasions when my wolf plans to get activated by chance.

She told me to sleep in the living room,I accepted with no argument.

I was unable to sleep because every time I closed my eyes,I saw people with no faces trying to cast me to death both with spells and silver .

I decided to observe the environment when I heard her scream.I tried to find out but she told me it was just a dream.

I really don't know why she doesn't want me by her side but like the doctor said,I should take things easy with her and let her genuinely love me as a human since it's impossible for a human to know about us.

I opened the door to her room to get inside just to watch her sleep since I have done everything.I was shocked to see her awake reading a book that has a werewolf drawing. Is she for real? She is so stubborn that she doesn't know she needs to sleep as a human to have strength the following day .

She covered her face with the blanket and I turned on the light for her to see it's me and not a demon she might be thinking.

“You almost gave me a heart attack,why didn't you knock or make a sound?”
“I did but didn't get a response,what are you reading?“

“Just leave my room.“
“No way."l“ I took the book from her angrily and shouted at her,“Stop reading and sleep,you need it,it's almost 4am.”

I left with anger and I could hear her murmuring but when I heard the light was turned off,I knew she had slept.

I heard a vampire talking to me from a distance,“Hey wolf guy,I know you can hear me,I saw you and what you did to my cousin,I will make this event ,I will kill the woman beside you and you will do nothing about it.”

“You blood sucking demon,you made a mistake by threatening me,I am Alpha Aiden,a demon wolf feared by all,I will wipe out your kind like I did years ago." He stopped talking and I reasoned what I just said,did I really kill some vampires in the past? If I did,why can't I remember fully?
Am I a demon wolf? I need to know what I did in my past life.
