Chapter 39: He Is Jealous

Alpha Ethan POV

I entered my room changing my clothes and smiled,“Now,I got her friendship soon I will mark her as mine.“

“When are you going to hold a ball in here so we can announce her to the pack as the new Luna?“ Gray questioned.

“Well,I don't know for now but what matters first is to make her accept me in her life and gradually,if I tell her what I am,she won't be scared of me by then.“ I said with full confidence.

I wore my short and about to get my shirt,I smelt my mate heading to my room,what brings her here? I dropped it on the bed and boom she opened the door without a knock.

She kept admiring my body and it was so obvious and I felt good.
She walked to me and touched my face looking deep into my eyes and I wonder if she is feeling something for me.



"Is everything okay Naomi?" I asked her holding her hands.

She looks like someone who just regained her senses when she said,“I am so sorry,I didn't mean to barge in without knocking."


"It's okay Naomi,I am not naked." I replied.

"You have no shirt on." She replied, still facing the door and backing me,I guess she is the shy type.

"If being shirtless makes you this uncomfortable,give me a minute,I will put on a shirt." She responded saying,"That's a brilliant idea."

I wore my shirt and was smiling while looking at her from behind without saying a word to her. My mate is in my room,a thing of joy.

"Are you wearing your shirt?" She questioned.

"None,I am totally naked now,you can turn around and see for yourself." I said laughing and she yelled,"Don't joke with me."

I walked past her and she closed her eyes immediately,I just played a little joke with her and she fell for it..
She came out saying,"You shouldn't be walking around now,you need to get enough rest." her tone dropped and she became caring again.

"But I am starving.“ I said touching my stomach.

"Oh,you need to eat before you take your rest and I will also advise you to take some painkillers if you have,it will help your muscles as well.“ I smiled with a thank you approach to her.


The food was served and she looks happy about it.
“Please,let's eat." I said to her.

"Don't worry about me,I am full already,all I want is for you to eat and be filled so you can get enough rest as well." She replied.

"Did I do something to upset you?“ I asked, looking so sad about it,why is she refusing to eat with me.

"Not at all,I told you we are friends already,why would you ask such a thing?" She said.

"You rejected eating with me,I feel so horrible about it,what can I do to make you eat with me." I asked with my palm folded in-between each other under my jaw and hoping she accepts to join me.

"Okay,I will eat a little from it if that will make you happy." She said taking the fork to eat from the pasta on the table and then took a bite from the sauced chicken as well,I smiled and I started eating as well.

I could not take my eyes off her for a minute,I kept looking at her.

Suddenly,her phone started ringing and she excuses her self.

“Excuse me."

She said,"Hello.“ I listened to the conversation with my distance hearing and I got angry and jealous hearing the voice of a guy though it sounded so familiar to me.

"Are you safe? Where are you?“

"I will be home soon,I have to drop by somewhere."
Does that mean she has a boyfriend waiting for her at home or what?

“Ethan, are you okay?“ She asked and I regained myself acting like I was feeling a little headache.

“Yes,I am,I am just feeling a little headache,I guess I will just get some rest." he

"Oh you need rest right away,I will help you to your room before I take my leave."

“Would you mind staying a little longer with me Naomi?“ she accepted with a smile and she followed me to my room.

Asking if I needed anything,I just smiled at her and she questioned my smiles,

“Why are you smiling?“

"I feel happy having someone watch over me,I can't remember the last time I got such treatment from a girl.“ she laughed,"That means you are a horrible boyfriend.“

“How can you just conclude on that immediately without finding out more about me? Well I don't blame you about it,you always think the opposite of me."

I said looking down to the bed and she sat close to me asking,“If you are not a horrible boyfriend then why haven't you been getting good treatment from ladies?“

“That's because I never had one in my entire life but I do have bitches for fun."

"You are lying to me,you should have someone in your life, probably now your ex."

"I have never had a girlfriend since my existence,I know he looked strange but it is the truth,if you don't believe me,I totally understand.“ I told her the truth but seems she doesn't believe me.


“Why? Haven't you met the right one yet? Or is it that you don't believe in love or something?" She asked.

“Yeah, that's part of it.“

“Don't worry,soon you will meet someone that will completely win your heart over and I will be here to hear the good news."

"As for that,there is someone destined to be mine already and I am in love with her." She applauded, saying,"Good,is she beautiful like me?“

“Yes,she is beautiful just like you." I wish I can tell her that she is the one for me.

"Okay,I really need to leave now and it's great having a good conversation with you for the first time,take good care of yourself and see you tomorrow at work.“ she stood up .

"Thank you so much Naomi,I will send the drivers to take you home safely."

“Don't worry about that,I will be able to go home by myself." She replied and took her leave.

I wanted to follow her but gray told me to let her be,I went back to bed and kept thinking about the voice I heard earlier from her conversation.

It's so familiar to me and why will she be happy for another man? I am so upset right now,if I see any man around her,I might do something stupid.

I remembered the vampire issues Derek talked about,so I mindlink him to come to my room.
