Alpha Aiden POV


“You mean wipe her memories?” I asked with my eyes wide open and he said,”Yes, for her safety.”

“Okay fine, provided it doesn’t hurt her I am cool with it.” I concluded and Red said,”You should listen to him.”

“Sure,I will.” I assured Red.

“I will take my leave now,I will come and check on you all tomorrow,I need to pick my daughter up from school right now.” He said to me and I nodded, walking him out.

“Thank you for coming to help the doctor, you are my second friend and I will reward you by making you my beta.”

“Me?” he said in surprise and I nodded, ”I can’t mark my mate yet because my wolf form is still under a curse,I would have done the ritual already but don’t you worry,immediately your witch friend does her job, the ritual will be done and you will no more be an omega.”

He went on his knees to thank me and I stopped him saying, ”You don’t need to do that, you have proven your loyalty even when I know you are not supposed to do so.”
“I was just doing my job as a doctor,I will take my leave now.” He entered his car and drove off.

I went back in and noticed she was already up and I rushed to meet her, ”Naomi, are you feeling okay?”

“Aiden,I saw a demon, it came after me, the demon had claws, fangs,his eyes were dark and cold, suddenly I saw someone ripping out his heart and he faded to ashes, but the person who saved me looks like you, so much like you.” She said, trying to recollect.

“Come on, nothing like that happened okay? You slipped and fell down, l carried you in and that was what happened, what you just spoke about might be your imagination.” I tried to calm her down.

“No way,I know what I saw,I went to the woods to look for you when the demon attacked me,I know what I am saying, you have to believe me,I am not crazy, but what I saw is real.” She argued with me and I hugged her saying, ”You need to calm down, there is no demon at all.”
I carried her to sit down and tried to make her believe none of that happened.
Throughout the day I spent time making her believe none of that happened, she finally believed me.

Naomi Jamieson POV


I know I saw a demon but I really don’t know why Aiden doesn’t want to believe me. What if it’s my imagination for real? What if I am just seeing things?
I think I should believe Aiden , it is indeed my imagination. My stomach made some strange noise,I was hungry so I said to him, ”Let's go eat dinner at a nearby restaurant.”

“Sure.”

I ordered an Uber and I purposely went to the same restaurant I saw Lucas the other day hoping I would run into him there.
We had our seats and I was looking around not listening to what the waiter was saying,”Naomi, are you looking for someone in here?” he asked me and I nodded saying, ”Yes, no, I mean no.”
“Okay,I am not familiar with the food of this generation.”

“Not a word,I will make the order but you just stay quiet okay." I said to him making sure he doesn’t disgrace me in public like this.
I ordered some Chinese rice, salad and more chicken sauce.
I was shocked to see that he has good table manners when eating and I could not stop admiring him.

“Do you like the food?” I questioned him and he nodded, ”Yes I do, but can I make a request?”

Finally, he is going to ask something, let me hear what he has to say.
“Okay,I am all ears.”
“Can I get more red meat?”

“Red meat? You love red meat that much?”
“Yes I do and it makes me healthy as well.”
“I know the perfect place to get that,let’s finish eating and we go there, you will like it.”
“Okay let’s eat, and tell me if you feel any pain as well.”

“Don’t worry about me, like you said,I just slipped and fell though I don’t even remember how it happened but I know it is not a big deal so stop worrying about me.”

He is so romantic even if he is not my lover, can he stop doing that to me? I hate it, it makes my heart beat for him and I don’t want to love another man any more.I need to recover from this heartbreak first of all and focus more on my career.
It seems Lucas is not coming here today, too bad he didn’t come.
I suddenly got choked and Aiden rushed to give me water like a baby and my eyes landed on his lips again, ”Are you okay? Drink more water.” He said to me and I felt like kissing him so bad.
“Excuse me.” I left him to make use of the rest room.I turned on the tap to wash my hands trying to divert my thinking. Why is he doing that to me? He should stop doing it, if this should continue then I will end up having sex with him and he will leave just the others.
He is my friend and I will place him there so Naomi, no feelings.
I felt a presence around me and then the demon appeared again saying, ”Blood,I need your blood.”

“Oh please don’t harm me,I beg of you, please.” I was fidgeting and I shut my eyes. I heard the door open and someone walked in. I could hear footsteps approaching in my direction and I thought I was about to get killed only to hear Aiden voice, ”Naomi, are you okay?”
I opened my eyes and it was Aiden and not a demon.

Tears left my eyes, ”I thought the demon was about to kill me.”
“Look at me Naomi, even if there is someone after your life, I promise you,I will not let them harm you,I will protect you as long as I am breathing.” I felt comforted by his words and he hugged me saying, ”Lets get red meat another night, now you need to get some rest.”
I looked at him with affection and his eyes all over me made me feel wanted by him and we kept looking at each other for close to two minutes and it got to the point that our lips were about getting close to touching each other.
