Chapter 44: There Must Be A Way Out


Alpha Aiden POV

“You are welcome,come with me,I made dinner." I said and she blushed


She kept the teddy bear and walked with me to the dinning for dinner.


I believe she was shocked when she asked the question, “You mean you made all these yourself?“


“Yes I did, I am useful after all, and please don't use your commanding tone on me again, I will make you happy, is a promise.“ I said this to her because it's the truth,my mate is my number one priority and she is also the key I need.
I didn't eat from the food because I made it specially for her,I just watched her eat and admired her.

She asked me to open my mouth which I did willingly before she made use of her commanding spell,she fed me fried potatoes.

She has quite a large appetite I must say.

I decided to take care of the place by taking the plates to the kitchen and I let her know about her large appetite,goodness me she finished everything, “You are such a glutton, I can't believe you can eat the whole food.“


“That's because the meal is so delicious.“ She smiled at me and also joined me in the kitchen. My other surprise for her is the kitchen. It was a mess before but now,it's perfectly tidy.


“Aiden, thank you for making the house tidy.“


“You are welcome.“ I said.


“You stock the kitchen with foodstuff, you are so amazing, how can I thank you enough?“


“From now henceforth I will be your cook and make sure I always take good care of you and the home as well.“ I made the vow.


She kept looking at me like her heart wanted to communicate with me and when I finished cleaning,she asked. “Aiden, do you even have a girlfriend?“


“You are my girlfriend.“ I said and she began laughing.

“What about you, do you have a boyfriend?“ I asked the same question while waiting for her response.


“No, I don't, I used to be in a relationship but he dumped me for another, so I have moved on completely.“

“I am so sorry for bringing that up.“ I apologized to her and she was not offended.I am happy the person is not seeing her anymore. If not I would have killed him.

We did other things and even watched TV.I have never been this happy in my life before though I can't tell you about my past life.

At night, she was already feeling sleepy, I think she needs some sleep now.“You can go in to get some rest.“ I said to her,


“Yeah, good night Aiden.“ she replied taking her leave to her room and she stepped out again,

“Is everything okay?“ I asked.


“Share the bed with me.“ she said to avoid my eyes and I was shocked about it,she might be joking.


“You are serious right?“ I asked to confirm and she nodded.


I came to the room with her and went in to have my and stepped out with no shirt on..



I joined her on the bed and said good night to her and she nodded without saying a word. Is she uncomfortable?


I could not sleep, my heart was racing fast, I am sharing the same bed with someone I am crushing on, what if I am the one that rapes him?
For the first time,I was having difficulty sleeping and I noticed she was awake as well,so I had to ask.

“You can't sleep right?“ she nodded.


“Come closer.“ I said and allowed her to rest on my chest, and I noticed she felt better.


“Thank you.“ she said.


“You are welcome, now close your eyes so you can get enough rest and go early to work tomorrow.“ I advised her.


“I will, good night Aiden and thank you for making my evening.“ She closed her eyes and suddenly fell asleep.

I woke up early before her to prepare breakfast for her by watching a YouTube video,I failed twice and I finally got it.




“Good morning Naomi, breakfast in bed.“ I said immediately I opened the room door and saw her awake.


“How are you so perfect?“ She questioned.


“I don't understand your question.“ I replied.


“Never mind, thank you.“ She said taking it from me and had a happy expression.


After breakfast, she got ready for work, “When I get back, we will get red meat just like I promised you the other day.“ I was happy about it,I am so craving for red meat and because I wanted to make her happy,I didn't have the time to get it for myself.



“That will be great, see you when you get back and call me if there is danger, I will be there to rescue you.“


“Sure.“ I kissed her forehead and smiled at her then she left.

I went to the kitchen to clean up the mess I made earlier and also cleaned the entire place,had my bath then I saw she forgot a book on the table,she referred to taking it along, meaning it's important and I have to give them to her immediately.

I stopped a taxi and directed him with me, sniffing her out with the help of Red. That was when I knew she was in danger and I had to rush in to save her from the vampire.


“I warned you,never lay your hands on my woman.“

“Aiden stop,let him go.“ Damn it,she has used her spells again,I had no choice but to let him go,I said to her,
“He was trying to harm you.“

“I know and you saved me.“


“What if he comes around again and harms you?“ I asked.


“I don't want you to commit murder because of me,you don't kill bad guys,the least you can do is to bring them to the police and the police will do their job.“ I had no choice but to be calm.


“Fine,I won't kill him but if he lays another attempt on your life I will kill him.“ I added


“Can I know why you are here?“


“You forgot this on the table.“ I passed the book to her.





“How did you find me?“


“I sniff you out,it's easy.“ damn,I shouldn't have said that out loud.


“How is that even possible? Can a human sniff a human out when you are not an animal?“


I faked my laughter ,“I was just joking Naomi,how can I possibly do that,I guess I ran in luck today.“ I didn't know what exactly to say to convince her.


“Yeah you are so lucky,well this is the place I work just Incase you want to drop by during my break period.“ she said pointing at the school.


“Sure,now I know the place,it would be easy to find out and protect you at all times.“


“Yeah,I need to get to work now,see you at home.“


“Bye for now.“ I waved at her and took a cab heading to Doctor Louis home.

I was so enraged and when I met him I said,“She is so annoying,can you believe she made use of those spells again.“

“Calm down."

“There is no way I can calm down,we need to look for a way to get myself back into shifting as a werewolf,she let the enemy go today,what if another day comes,and she is in danger,she will do same thing,I can't take it anymore,there must be a way out,call you witch and invite her over.“ I sat on the couch feeling so angry.
