Chapter 26: Her Generosity

Am I a demon wolf? I need to know what I did in my past life.

I rested back on the couch to get my sleep and woke up exactly at 6am.I stretched my body and thought of going to the woods not that far from her home knowing fully well that no one was awake. I tried to shift into a wolf but all my efforts were in vain. Why can I feel everything a werewolf should feel yet I can't transform?

I returned to the apartment going to her bedroom and sat down on the chair watching Naomi sleep,seeing her bright face alone already provided enough happiness to me and I will wait to see the witch the doctor has for me so I can get my powers in full to protect her.

She finally woke up when it was noon and I greeted her with a smile,“Good afternoon Naomi.”


“What are you doing in my room? How long have you been here?” She questioned me immediately even though she was just waking up from her deep sleep. She is such a stubborn girl.


“I can't tell but I have been watching you sleep, you look peaceful when sleeping.” I replied sincerely and noticed she was thinking of something but what could it be? Is she feeling embarrassed?

“Are you okay?”

“Don't ever watch me sleep,” I am right to call her annoying.

“Why greet in the afternoon when it's just morning ?"


“It's 2 pm already, I guess you woke up this late because you didn't sleep early and why were you reading books about werewolves?” I replied with another question.


“I was not feeling sleepy and also, I am a history teacher, and I love reading things like that.” She stood up from the bed stretching her body. If she loves werewolf stories so well,does that mean she believes I am real? If yes,I guess there is no need to keep it a secret from her but it's good I ask her to know her response.

“Do you believe that is real?”


“Hell no, that can't be, it's all based on stories written in the past, what about you, do you believe they are real?” She asked the same question and I didn't know what to say so I just excused myself.

“I will excuse myself so you can have your bath .” I left her room.


I returned to the living room,she is crazy I must say,she is lucky she got powers to control me anyhow she likes and I am trying my best to make sure I do things out of my will without her telling me to. I love my mate so much but sometimes,I feel like gripping her hard so she will fear me as a demon wolf,maybe I am subjected to her for a reason I do not yet know but soon it will be out.

She finally came out to get something to eat but I didn't know why my eyes were glued on her,I want to mark her so badly before another human takes her from me

“Do you care ?” she asked and I nodded saying“No, thanks.”


“So Aiden, have you recollected any memory of your past, like who you are, your family, lover.”


“I can't remember any of it but one thing I can boast of, is I don't have a lover.”


“I see, so do you plan to get one?”



“I only have eyes for you.” I replied in a sincere tone,no lady has got me this way,even ladies I have seen out there,none seems to move me at all.


“Can you be serious for once? Don't ever joke about such a thing with me, give me your phone number so I can reach you in case you go missing like the other time.”

She passed something to me and it looks so strange,what could it be?
“What is this?”



“This is a phone, don't you have one?”


“No, I don't, we communicate with letters during my time and I have never seen this.” I replied with the truth but she made me feel so bad with her laughter mostly when she fell to the ground. Did I just fool myself in her presence?


“I am sorry I just could not hold back my laughter, tell me, how old are you?”


“I don't know but I am more than one thousand years old.” I don't even know my age but I know I am a thousand years plus,because of the year I was before I slept and woke up to see the year 2022.


She laughed again and I had to explain things to her, “I am serious, before I was placed in a deep sleep, it was 1022 and now that I woke up, I saw 2022, I don't know how.”


She clapped for me saying, “Wow, I am sure my students at school will love you with such an impressive story you have to tell.”


“You don't believe me?” I hate this so much.


“Let's change the topic, I need to get you a new phone but it is impossible since you don't have any identity card except I use my details.” she smiled and stood on her feet saying, “Come with me, let's get you a new phone and after which, let's go shopping.”


“If it makes you happy, sure.” I replied feeling okay since she stopped laughing.


“Can you do me a favor when we go out?”


“Tell me.”


“When we are out there, if you have no idea of anything just ask me quietly and when I say Lucas is here, hug me tight and kiss me okay?”

I nodded and I noticed her cheek had turned red.

She stopped a taxi that took us to where they sell things like the one she gave me earlier and she gave me a flat screen device saying it's an Android phone.

I love how fast it is. I am sincerely happy with her genuine kindness towards me.


She taught me everything and luckily I am a fast learner,I was able to understand everything.


“Lucas is here.” she said and I held her hands spinning her round before bringing her close to me but I got distracted all of a sudden by a vampire.

“We are coming for her and you will not be there to protect her.“
