Chapter 10

I'm now disoriented and terrified. Gabriel had rang the doorbell with only a bundle of garments that were, shockingly, my precise size. He then left me to get dressed, telling me that breakfast was ready and that I should come to the kitchen to meet him. When I was finished and stepped downstairs, though, I seemed to have no idea where I was going. The home seems to be a maze, so I'm stuck in the middle of it. I grumble in annoyance as I stroll down another corridor that comes to a complete stop... again. I dashed out, only to scream when I collided with a wall. As my face was trying to make contact with the earth, the wall extends its arms round me, stabilizing me.
When I glance up, I notice Gabriel peering down at me with a grin on his lips, delighted. I cleared my throat, blushing, and let him take me through the entryway and then into the kitchen. When it's that straightforward, my jaw drops. It was there in front of me, yet I spent so much time looking for it when I might have been eating! The room smells wonderful from the cooking as I sit quietly at the kitchen island. Fresh fruits are placed in the center of the table in lovely themed dishes. He places a dish of pancakes in front of me and tells me I need to hurry since it's almost time to leave. "Do you still have Nutella?" I inquire. I inquired, slipping a raspberry into my mouth.
"Don't do that, mi rosa," Gabriel says just behind me, with his arm rubbing against my shoulders as he adds to the stack of crepes. (my rose.) "Do what?" I ask, my head tilting slightly to face him. He lingers too long on my lips until he sighs, scratching his head, and returning his attention to the stove. I shrug before immediately rolling up another roll-up and devouring it. He abruptly continues, making me grimace, "My buddy will be riding you to your flat." His uncertainty fades into awareness as he turns around in response to my silence. "I'm entrusting my life to him; you'll be secure."
I consume the remainder of my food with a quiet nod. When the bell sounded, the chime echoed throughout the house, I had just finished my last meal. My vehicle has arrived, and a quick peek at the time tells me that I must hurry. I leap off my stool, grab my phone, and bolt from the kitchen. "Thank you very much, Gabriel! Goodbye!"
I go outside through one of the side doors and notice a black car in the garage with a man behind the wheel. But my elbow pulls me back into a rock-hard chest before I would take another stride. Staring up, I raised an inquisitive brow at him. As he stares at me, his hazel eyes have darkened dramatically, and he appears to be staring at my lips once again. His arm wraps round my waistline and pulls me close against him till I reach the point of his shoulder as he spins me around.
My pulse accelerates at the intensity of the flames in his orbs, instantly warming my body. His palm moves to cup my face, and as his thumb lightly brushes it, I shudder. I felt like I'm melting and turning into mush on the inside. "That's not how you go to school." As I continue to stare at him in bewilderment, he whispers and chuckles faintly.
His index finger quickly touches a side of my lips, removing little Nutella which I had neglected to wipe away. My cheeks flush with shame at the prospect of having a chocolate smear on my face. I thought to myself, "Kill me now." What he does next, though, causes my heart to skip a beat and my breath to catch in my throat. With a smoldering expression in his eyes, he inserts his finger in his mouth and sucks the chocolate straight off.
I yank myself out of his grip and mumble out a "thank you" before sprinting towards the waiting car. I looked up to seeing him standing there, his palms in the pockets in his pants, with passion blazing in his gaze as he observes me. It's only afterwards that I see how absolutely attractive he looks, with his sleaves lifted up over his elbows and his hair disheveled in a haphazard manner as if he'd just gotten out of bed.
I enter, averting my sight so as not to further disgrace myself, and smiled at his best buddy, who smiles back. He spots me gazing at Gabriel through the window as he revs the car and glares at him then turning to grin at me, wiggling his brows seductively. I gasp and smack his arm, flushing profusely, which causes him to burst out laughing as he moves away.

As he had addressed himself, I waved farewell to Ryan Ciero. He has a head full of dazzling white blonde hair and the deepest eyes, which are surrounded by a violet ring. Although I was surprised by the unique hue, I must agree that it is rather lovely. Even though he has a slender physique, you can tell he is muscular. He appears to be a man that females drool over, with pale skin and sharp characteristics that look sharp enough to cut.
When Ryan saw the school, he grinned and told me how he had graduated a long time ago and then went to college to pursue an engineering degree. In turn, I grumbled about how I only had one more year. Since I was racing against time, I crammed everything I could into my bag as I rushed through the entryway and approached my locker. When I turned back after putting my stuff in my backpack and slamming the door tight, I yelled at the sight of Linda and Mark. I will myself enough to calm down by placing my hand over my heart as kids pass by and give me strange looks.
"You don't appear to be ill." Mark ponders, going in closer to examine my features. When I recall the lie I gave Chris as an excuse for missing school, my eyes widen. "It's because I'm feeling much better now." As we walk into our first class, English Literature, I grin and join arms with Linda.Mark and Linda are on either side of me, so I sit in the center row. When Kaden walks in, the door slams into the wall, and we're halfway through the session. My teacher right now looks like steam is coming out of his ears. If steam could come out of ears, His face is flushed, and he has an angry grimace on his lips as he looks disapprovingly at Kaden. I smirked as I listened to him being yelled at and watched him lose his temper at me even as he stood at the very front of the classroom. Mr. Davies' droning continues for quite some time before issuing Kaden a detention sheet and asking him to take his seat.
