Chapter 62
When your students have been looking at you all day, you understand it can't be good. Either I stink, my brow game is bad, I don't have makeup on, or I have a sign affixed to my back that is blatantly gossip-worthy. Later that afternoon, as I am walking down the school corridor, I begin to wonder why the majority of the pupils are staring at me and speaking to one another. I first noticed that people were acting strangely today and that it could have anything to do with me. I doubt it, but I'm quite sure I applied deodorant, I think as I covertly inhale. I shrug it off and go through a throng of ravenous kids to the cafeteria.
As I picked up a red tray, I touched Kelvin on the shoulder in the line behind me. Before bringing me to his side, he turns back and smiles at me. Before paying and accompanying him on our return to the loud, busy table, I grabbed a chicken wrap, alongside a green apple, and some juice. Chris is present as well. Whenever he has a break, he frequently stops by the school. Even though he graduated, folks have become accustomed to his stopping over to see how Linda is doing. I set my tray down and then sat down, pulling my hair back in a high ponytail. I turn around as I bite into my wrap and notice that everyone is grinning knowingly at me.
"Okay, just let me know if I stink or do I have stuff on my face. I'm tired of people gawking at me. " Next to me, Kelvin starts laughing loudly, which causes me to scowl in perplexity. While Linda nods at me and gives me the thumbs up, Chris is staring at me angrily. A few of the other members of the group giggle before starting to eat again. You have bite marks all over your neck, Amanda. Everyone is fixated on that. " Kelvin taps my neck while sighing. Oh, I mutter embarrassingly as I glance down and let my hair fall loose to hide the marks.
"You must be accepted right away." With his elbow resting against the enormous red table, Kelvin makes a serious statement. Why is that, then? I squint my eyes. Did you see Gabriel's canines rubbing on your skin? "Hmm... I dunno, maybe," she said. I sputter, puzzled as to why he is posing such queries. "I'm done now! His canine's poison got on your skin in little amounts. Now is the time for the surgeons to remove that contaminated area. " Just as I'm ready to bite into my wrap, I stop and roll my eyes. "Sure."
Until I consider the foolishness of it all, his aqua blue eyes make me feel sad, and I nearly believe he isn't joking. "I'm not kidding! The hospital you're heading to is characterized as hell on earth, and your flesh will literally start to peel off. There is no TV, bad food, and terrible mattresses, and the nurses and physicians are nasty. "Kelvin, I seriously doubt Gabriel's canines are poisoned." I confronted him while twisting my body just on the bench to do so. Obviously, they do. Kelvin strikes the table with his fist, glances at Chris, and then points at me. "Say Chris told her!" Look at her; she already has a ghostly pallor. That is the first sign.
"It's correct, Amanda." Chris scowls as he leans over the table to have a closer look at my neck. "Yes, it is an unpleasant one." "And Gabriel foresaw this outcome?" I inquire, forgetting to have lunch. "Yes, but I think he's actually too engrossed in the action to realize it." Chris shakes his head while furiously tightening his hands. "And what additional symptoms are there?" I smack Kelvin's fingers away from my neck and inquire. "Uh... aha! I now recall! "He's a walking corpse! You'll develop a rash out of the blue, your nails will become yellow and fall out, and more.” I ignore Chris and Kelvin's cries as I leap out of my chair and exit the dining hall.
I sprint to the office while grabbing my luggage and books first from locker. I quickly cross the yard after signing out and leave the building. Before entering the door, a guard in all black comes up to me and snatches my belongings. I take a seat and watch as he closes the door and climbs into the driver's seat to take me home.

People watch me with worry as I march into the pack house, and some ask me why I'm acting so agitated. I dash more quickly to my target, bursting through his office door and banging it shut right behind me. "I'm going to murder you, you jerk!" I shout while giving him a nasty glare. His head jumps up, and his confused eyes fixate on me before he lets out a loud roar. "What are you referring to?" And why are you back so early? " When he attempts to restrain me, I sprint around his desk, hit him in the chest, and smack his shoulders and arms. He eventually grabs my chin with one hand while simultaneously grabbing both of my wrists with the other. "What happened?"
"I'm gonna be staying put in a god damn hospital where you won't be fed and be jabbed with needles on a daily basis and---" "Darling, who told you that?" He drags me into his lap while growling angrily at my resistance. I won't be your darling, sir!" Because you could not really control yourself, I'm in this situation. I yell and jerk back a little. "Kelvin and Chris stated, "I contracted your poison and will become ill as well as look horrifying." Is this real? I showed him my neck by removing the collar off of my shirt. His once-black eyes change to a serene green as he casts a bewildered glance my way.
As the thrill of adrenaline wears off, I breathe sharply, which makes him tighten his arms around my waist and give me a comforting back rub. "Tell me everything that occurred." As he looks at me anxiously and gives me instructions, he cups my face. "People had been looking at me all day, but Kelvin told me I needed to go to the hospital when I pulled my hair up in the cafeteria because of hickeys all around my neck." As I watched him frown, I explained. "He said that you shot some sort of poison into my neck as your canines brushed across it, causing my skin to flake off." At first, I didn't trust him, but Chris later persuaded me that it was real."
