Chapter 81
"My word wasn't sufficient, even when I told you he was simply my pal, was it? I cannot understand you imprisoned him in a dungeon. No, you simply had to kick his ass like an Alpha, didn't you?" I mutter as I make my way into the dungeons, grimacing at the vile smell and the blood that is smeared on the walls.
When they see their Alpha gets reprimanded by his mate, Ryan and Paloma follow after and I can see them fighting to contain their laughing. However, when I gaze at them, they quickly become serious.
"But he -"
"Silva, stop attempting to defend yourself. Just be silent; I am well aware of how explosive you can be." While he follows me as I place my order, I give him the cold shoulder.
"Who does she feel she is to talk to our Alpha in that manner, I wonder?" A large guy with somewhat aging features and similar-looking attire to what the other warrior wolves are wearing spoke. He glares at me with his brown eyes as if to frighten me, but I'm too agitated to respond; instead, I sneer.
"I am free to communicate with his mate anyway I like. Please refrain from trying me more or I'll expel you."
I scream as I continue to the cell where they have Kaden detained, where three guards are stationed outside. When I see him sitting on the floor, hands clasped, head resting against the wall, eyes closed, and a sneer on his lips, I rush forward. When I approach the silver bars, grabbing them, and gasping at what I see, he opens them to look at me.
“Come to my aid, you little grasshopper?” Blood is coming out of his lips as he coughs. I'm very sorry. As I examine his severely battered and scarred physique, I whisper, my eyes welling with grief. He has been hit since his clothing are ripped, and I can see that his injuries are healing right before my eyes.
My eyes take in the image of the gory slashes and gashes everywhere I can view his exposed skin because they are everywhere. "You said you didn't strike him," I said. I fume as I turn to face a carefree Gabriel. In response, he merely shrugs. "I said I didn't punch him frequently. I suppose I should have included the word "much" before." When he hears me swearing, he growls, but I ignore him.
"Free him up. He must be examined by a physician."
The guys start to react angrily right once, with the exception of Kaden, who groans only when he stretches out his broken leg, which is now healing by itself.
I watch as they debate, telling me that I am too innocent and have only lately entered their world to understand that rogues are crazy wolves that break pack rules. The previous burly man is driving me absolutely crazy, making me scowl at him and speak to me as if I'm a child.
"Be quiet!" They stop what they're doing to look at me in shock as I yell over them.
"I'm very certain that your law forbids beating individuals unless you can demonstrate that they have malicious intent toward you. Is that accurate?"
None of them look in my direction, which supports my assumption. I glare at them, crossing my arms and tapping my foot while I wait for Gabriel to respond. When he does, he grimaces and motions for the guard to allow Kaden go.
Before Kaden is assisted upstairs to the infirmary, I grinned and said I'd see him soon. I clear my throat to draw their focus to me as I turn to face the men who are glaring angrily at his retrieving back. I look at the big man with narrowed eyes as he mumbles under his breath, and I can tell he's not complementing my clothes today based on the way Gabriel glares at him before approaching me. He straightens his back as I approach him and he glances at me in total confusion.

“Did you just call me a f—-?” His eyes widen as I humbly inquire. In all honesty, it's just a guess, and when I narrow my eyes in suspicion, I don't consider him to shake his head before nodding in agreement.
“Do you even have a mate?” I inquire while keeping my arms crossed and projecting a fake interest in him.
“I do, Luna.” He responds with pride, raising his shoulders and expanding his chest.
“She must have strength.” He simply smiles and nods in response to my thoughts.
"With the way bad your breath stinks, I'm amazed she hasn't passed out or something. You kiss her, warrior, with that mouth?" I'm standing on my toes and glaring at him.
Of course, I'm only kidding and trying to get back at him for the jab he gave me earlier.
"Babe." As if to tell me to stop, Gabriel calls to me from behind. His tone makes the smirk on his lips audible. I sigh as his arm encircles my waist to lead me out of the dungeon and laugh at his warrior's bewildered expression.
“I strongly suggest giving her a distant kiss instead. I say as we ascend the stairs and re-enter the hallway.”
While holding hands and chuckling, Gabriel looks at me with pride as I look up at him. He shakes his head in response to my cheeky grin and plants a soft kiss on my right temple.
"How am I doing?" You better bow down to me. I was attempting to be all badass like you.
"That jerk should shit bricks, I hope." I grin broadly as I swing our hands.
"Oh, you certainly scared them." Don't curse either. " He gives my hand a light squeeze while frowning.
I test his hearing while muttering a few curse words, oblivious to the fact that he is a hybrid with more powerful abilities, unlike many werewolves. He undoubtedly heard me because I was immediately shoved up against the closest wall.
"I promise you; you don't want to be spanked. You can be sure it will be painful for you but incredibly enjoyable for me. "
My arms are raised above my head as he huskily states. "Don't let me stop you, Alpha. I think I'll enjoy it. " When he growls, his eyes flashing bright gold with pure lust, I tease breathlessly while biting my lip.
"Mi cario, don't put me to the test." He murmurs before dragging me into the kitchen, where a table with food is set up. (My sweetheart.) I pulled out a chair and assisted myself to the food, trying to avoid the jolts of heat coursing through my nether region and the lust still fresh in my mind. Since I had to rush to the prison to release Kaden, I had skipped breakfast and didn't have time for it. It's time to fill my stomach.
