Chapter 59

Oh my dear goodness, I can't do this! I shake my shaking hands out then turned to face Linda, who just cross her arms then raises a perfectly arched brow at me. You certainly can. You seem fantastic! I blurted, my eyes wide: "I, uh...too it's much cleavage. She scoffs, flicking her hair, "You probably wouldn't say that even when you get to see what the other females will be wearing." It doesn't look well on my skin, she said. You have a beautiful complexion! She smacks the back of my head and says, "Get yourself together, woman. "I really do not like that it has no back."
She sighs, slightly turning before approaching me and grabbing my shoulders, "Have you seen mine?! " I understand your fear, but Amanda, you shouldn't have to be. All right. Everyone's gonna to be right there at your side, and we all know that when Gabriel sees you in this, he won't let you go. "Girl," she says as she steps aside and turns to face me while reaching out her hand to support my arm. "You are darn fine," I say. I shakily laugh before taking a big breath. I can handle this, she's correct. Linda and I finish up any last-minute preparations before Chris beckons to us to hurry. As Linda followed behind me, I smile as I down the stairs while Chris looks on in disbelief.
I swiftly leave so as not to interrupt them in their private time. As I approach Elizabeth and William near the door, they both grin at me. William is holding Elizabeth's waist while putting on a deep purple, flowery dress. Chris is also dressed sharply in a black suit. The dress' basic top is accompanied by a waist-length belt with jewels, which leads to the dress' lovely flowery skirt. "You look very lovely." I take a breath as I watch the dress move with her every movement. She gives a sweet giggle before giving me a hug and whispering in my ear. Not nearly as much as you, If your mother had been present, she would have started crying like she normally does.
When I think about my mother, a knot develops in my throat. I chuckle to myself as I recall how often she had sobbed when I put on a dress—which, considering I am a real tomboy, was a miracle. She used to be so upset with me for refusing to let her dress me up, and I now genuinely miss her. Chris approaches from behind me and gives me a kind word while stroking my shoulder. I smile as I lead the family out the door and into the svelte, black SUV that is waiting for us on the road. Before we get at Alpha Nicholas' area, it will be a lengthy travel, and I try to stop fretting throughout that time.

The opulent estate is well illuminated and invites guests to a huge ball when we get there. Before holding my hand and assisting me out from the automobile, the doorman hurries to my side then opens the door. Luna Silva. He bows, and I give him a perplexed look before saying "thank you." That never gets old, thank God. I overtake William and begin to go in the direction of the spectacular structure while whispering to him. He replies with a chuckle and then gives me the instructions to the ballroom. He takes Elizabeth's hand and leaves to meet up with some other Alphas after that. I turn to look around and realize Chris and Linda were mysteriously absent.
I realize they've probably already inside, mentally swearing, and with goosebumps all over my body, as I walk through the open doors. I should have gone to the ballroom, but instead I veer off in a different path because, well, I'm not myself if I don't get sidetracked occasionally. I come onto a sizable balcony while I'm moving along a darkly lighted hallway with only wall lamps to guide me. I move over to it, open the doors, and sneak outside to the railing before groaning loudly. "Well, dang that lady. If I could, I'd give you a cigarette but - "
"You're blazing hot already." I sigh and look to the side, where I notice a man slouched against the railing and obviously clutching a cigarette. He emerges from the darkness that is obscuring his face and shows himself to me. He has tiny red lips, hazel eyes, a slim physique, and long, curly dark brown hair. He is tall. As he approaches me while dressed in a black suit, his slick black shoes create dull noises. His eyes close up. Play Titanic, please. "Be the ocean, and I'll descend on you," you say. Sighing, I flick my hair over my shoulder. He grins before standing up straight. What possesses fangs and restrains the Incredible Hulk?
I giggle softly and approach him with my heels almost touching his shoulders. Not your zipper, sweetheart. That much is certain. The sight of his jaw falling runs through my head once again as I stroke his cheek before leaving the room and proceeding down the corridor. As I near the entryway, I see that I am nervously straightening up and smoothing down my outfit. I pause before ultimately entering through the entrance and outside to the steps that lead to the dance floor, grinning shyly at the guard, who seemed so amused to see me.
As dozens of eyes turn to my figure as I arrive late, I try not to sigh as I fix my sight on the one individual who is walking towards the stairs putting on a black suit. Oh my God, I would like to rush over and kill him with kisses! Gabriel hangs onto the railing and watches me descend while his dark green eyes rove over my body, making his knuckles white in the process. He keeps looking over my shape as though memorizing it, so I hold the edges of my robe up to keep from falling. It seems as though everyone else in the ballroom has long since forgotten about him and I. When I reach the bottom step, Gabriel's arm encircles my waist and pulls me into him. "You look as beautiful as an angel, you're so gorgeous." He exhales before drawing me close to him while gazing at me in admiration. I stifle a giggle as I encircle his neck with my arms. I lean in and whisper as I place my lips to his ear. "I was going to comment that you looked handsome, but I'm not sure now." In a suit, you look hot as hell. I step back and looked up to him as he laughs heartily. The romantic tension within us has been worse during the past month, and incidents like this are happening more frequently.
"Mi amor, perhaps I should have allowed you to stay at home. I don't really like the idea of all these guys seeing my beautiful partner (My love.) Well, I came because I wanted to know your opinion on me in this. He sags and kisses my lips. I nod, which causes him to chuckle and slip his hands into my lower back. "Would you like to know?" As I hear his response, my cheeks begin to burn somewhat and I blush. I want to bring you home and rob you of it. On the floor, I believe it will look better. He gives me a wink before dragging me through the masses while brushing my flushed cheeks.
I ignore the chattering murmurs and turn to grin at my buddies who are gathered at a table. Dag, who is dressed in a grey suit, and Kelvin, who is dressed handsomely in a black tux, are both waving at me while laughing over something Kelvin said. Sincerely, Daisy looks beautiful, and I'm overjoyed that she's here. I give her a hug and compliments. She spins round and shows me the back, which is an elegant maxi skirt alongwith a stunning split. She is wearing an off-the-shoulder blood crimson gown with a dazzling metallic belt. She has dramatic heels, long brown hair pulled back in a cat-flick that is sharp enough to stab, a scarlet lip, and heavy bangles on her hand.
I chuckle and embrace her. "Looking fantastic as usual!" When I try to pull back, she praises me and gently keeps me in place while murmuring in my ear. Are you attempting to murder your partner, Amanda? I gently smack her arm, blushing further when she stings my hot cheeks. "Looks as if seeing you in a dress transforms him into a bad wolf." When numerous individuals come over to meet themselves, Gabriel pulls me back into his side. What was I stressing over? I ponder this as I shake the hand of a lovely brunette, immediately forgetting what her name was as I meet another person, then another, and yet another.
