Chapter 67

Valeria approaches me and screams as she probably sees my bleeding arm and mouth. "Please, stop Gabriel. He's going to murder him." I sigh and grasp my arm in agony. She nods and calls to the lads who are now approaching their enraged Alpha, albeit warily. Before turning around, Gabriel snarls and delivers one last blow to Charlie's face, leaving him wounded, broken, and battered on the ground. With his body trembling and hands clenched, he roars at them, "Who is your Alpha, Charlie or me?" I warned you to always take care of Luna!
As they focus on me, his eyes are frighteningly black with a blazing red ring around the iris. He is in front of me in a second, lifting me up like I'm fine china and holding my body close to his. He gently grabs my arm and snaps at the severe incision with blood seeping from it while I moan in protest. "Rosa?" So that I may gaze up at him, he says quietly while gently stroking my cheek. "I'm here, sweetheart, and I've got you. You are fine." (Rose.) When the discomfort becomes intolerable, I groan in anguish and cling to his shirt. I let him take me up in bridal fashion while sobbing onto his shirt and not caring how I'm soaking it.
He is tense, tightly wound like a spring, and on the verge of breaking. My eyesight begins to get obscured by black specks as I called out to him haltingly. He is roaring and shaking me in his hand. I can hardly hear him. The very last thing I notice before disappearing into a black abyss are his scared green eyes.

My eyelids flutter open as I groggily scan the space. Valeria moves quickly from her seat to stand next to the bed and looks down at me to my right. I'm back in the hospital. Before I start to become a regular, this needs to stop! "Amanda!" Standing as her eyes fill with tears, she exhales. "I- I should've known better than to leave you with him, and I'm very sorry." "We couldn't have predicted that he would do that, so it's acceptable. I don't even blame you." I croak, taking the glass of water she offers me, sipping it briefly, then returning it. What happened to Gabriel? Before sitting down, she sets it on the table beside the bed. Charlie was being tortured in the jail. ''
I exclaim, staring at her in shock, "What?" How is she so composed? As I recline in the bed, I ruminate. I'm starting to feel drowsy once more, and I anticipate falling asleep soon. "You can't really fault him. When someone harms their mate, alphas become incensed, and Charlie beat you. She hisses in agony as I touch her arm and then glances at me with worry and when I wave it off, she nods warily. ''Careful. Anyway, you ought to have seen Gabriel after you passed out because he panicked. He hurried you to the hospital before returning to bash him up once again. I can't remember the number of guys it took to remove him. Amanda, he's furious. even murderous.Since then, nobody has seen him leave the jail." I yawn and move around on the bed to find a suitable position while I ask, "What's that thing you people do?" Where you chat to yourself in your brain. "Mind link?" "Yeah," I shrug up the blankets and close my eyes in defeat. " Tell him I want him here, and he will arrive." "I would've. However, Amanda, he has not replied to any of them." " Just let him know that I need him. He will, I'm sure of it. '' As I nod off, I miss what she has to say after that.

I suddenly jump out of bed, drenched in perspiration and struggling for breath. I scream as an arm drags me back against the solid rock of a chest, batting it away as I make an effort to get out of bed. Charlie has me in his crosshairs. Then, my face is turned to the side by the hand, and as I sigh with relief at the friendly face, I feel tingles and sparks running through me. Gabriel softly nudges me onto his lap and says, "Hey." "Stop worrying, Estimado. It was only a nightmare. (My dear)
I tilted my head. I'll never be able to forget the dream; it was so real. Before marking me, Charlie had been following me around the home and had killed everyone I loved. This caused me to awaken with a pounding heart and labored breathing. "Charlie, he's going to-" Gabriel says forcefully before turning to face me and petting my cheek. "He won't approach you again, Amanda," he said. I'm right here to keep you secure. Just take a deep breath and relax; everything will be OK. " I'm at my breaking point. Charlie's unwelcome approaches and missing Gabriel combine to make me agitated, and before I realized it, I burst like a dam. I ran towards him while sobbing, entangled in one arm. I rushed into him while sobbing and put one arm over his neck. "He continued troubling me and suggesting that I would have perfectly fitted as his mate and that you didn't love me. He pulls away and says, "Why did you not tell me?" before turning to face me and gazing at me in a furious manner. "I believed that once I warned him, he would stop. I-I avoided him as you advised, but he-he persisted, and eventually he sent everybody away in order... to " I cry nonstop, tears streaming from my eyes. "Okay," he murmurs, wiping my cheeks clean of tears with his thumbs. Please stop crying; it's killing me. I assure you that once I finish with him, he will be willing to ask for his death or even pretend to beg for it. He won't get away with damaging what belongs to me. " He laid me down while circling me. He licks my broken lip, and I moan, weakly smiling at him while barely feeling any discomfort. He stoops to kiss every surface of my face before softly pecking my lips as his emerald eyes continue to flare with rage and despair. My hands are grasping his shirt when his big, warm hands discover them and pull them aside to kiss the tops of my knuckles. "I will murder him for all this he has done to you. I promise." I shake my head and go around his neck with my arms as I bring him in. Just before the doctor and nurses arrived to do a checkup, we lay there for a while. Gabriel growls at them ferociously before yanking me back onto his lap and away from them as they stab and probe at my lip and arm. He has become extremely protective, and even though I can't persuade him to calm down, everybody inside the room could see it. I look at the clock after the nurses and doctor have left and notice that it is almost eleven o'clock at night. After catching my attention, Gabriel pulls me up and wraps us in the blanket.
He murmurs in my ear, telling me that he was here finally and that he would take care of me. I snuggle closer to him, breathing with contentment. He pulls me in closer by slipping his hand behind my back and beneath my shirt, and the heat he creates makes me murmur with pleasure.
Are you all OK, Rosa?
Do you feel pain?
Should I call the doctor? Let me call him. I'll be back immediately. " (Rose.)
As he makes a move to get out of the bed, I mutter, "No," and yank him back by his shirt.
I'm good; just don't leave me. " The moment he smelt and breathed in my scent, he had me enveloped in his arms once more. My cheek rests against his chest as I cross my knee over his hip. I move in to deliver him a long, gentle kiss, which he gently reciprocates while being mindful of my bruised lip. My hand is resting against his belly.
He pulls away and begins to smear hot lips over my jawline and around the curve of my neck. I tremble in ecstasy as he removes my shirt to lay passionate kisses on my shoulder. With the way he hugs me close and tightly, refusing to allow me out of his sight for even a few moments, he reminds me of a guy starving for any contact. Once he's content, he pulls away and gives me his beautiful, sweet grin as he looks down at me. He kisses my lips and wraps my hair at the back of my ear before returning to a solemn face. "I'm never going to leave you behind again." The council should screw themselves off."
