I watched as she paced back and forth in front of us. I couldn’t believe it was really her, Aurora, my mate. The one-person fate has deemed to be perfect for us.
“Why don’t I hate you all for what happened? It doesn’t make sense.” She whispered under her breath, her hands running through her long black hair.
“I think fate chose us for you because we can be your strength when you don’t feel like you can do this alone anymore.” Lucian says looking up at her.
“I think fate knew you would need us to be more lethal than what you have been up against in the past.” Knox said.
“Fate doesn’t make mistakes,” I say standing up and walking to where she was standing. I touch her cheek tenderly turning her to face me. “Fate chose you for us because you were always meant to be ours. Yes, we blindly followed our father when we were younger. But now we are stronger, deadlier and will do whatever it takes to keep you and Kason safe.”
She looks at me her green eyes bright, “But what if you guys decide that you want the power more.”
“You don’t get it, yet. But you will.” I say softly leaning my forehead against hers.
“You give us power. You make us stronger. Us together, we will be unstoppable.”
She swallows her eyes locked on my lips as if she can’t look away. I want to smirk, but I don’t want to cause her to look away. I can smell her sweet perfume and groan, my dick instantly hardening between us as I smell her sweet arousal for the first time. I hear my brothers growl behind me. I watch as a blush overtakes her cheeks.
I wonder silently how far that blush goes down, but I know she’s not ready for more yet.
I step back after I kiss her forehead.
Lucian steps up to her, “If you can forgive me, I will do whatever it takes to make you happy. I should have never cut the breaks. I shouldn’t have believed him when he told us he was going to have you all stay. I should have spoke up when he allowed you to get into that car that today.” Lucian takes a shaky breath. “I’m so sorry you’ve been alone all this time. But you will never have to be alone again. I swear to you Aurora.”
She looks up at him, her eyes lost as she studies him. Her green eyes softening as she sees the sincerity in his.
“My omega wants to me give into you right now.” She says softly.
“Oh just stop this whine fest.” Lexi says from behind us. She was holding up her phone recording us. “You’re making me sick.”
“I have sent every word to your father.” She says nodding to us, before turning to Aurora, “I knew you was too weak to take them down, I’m going to the winning side. Fuck you and that little brat.” She says laughing.
Knight jumps up and over the sofa grabbing her phone from her hand, throwing it to me as he holds her down.
“Oh little beta you will regret saying that to our mate. For trying to turn against her.”
I started going through the recording and going through her messages letting out a sigh of relief when I realized that she hadn’t sent anything yet.
“Next time, don’t brag until you’ve done something.” I say as I destroy her cloud feature and pull her sim card. I look over at Aurora her eyes wide in shock, “Baby, do you have a hammer I need to destroy this.”
Aurora nods walking away forcing us to drag a screeching Lexi with us to the kitchen as Aurora grabs a hammer from a drawer and hands it to me.
I bring the hammer down and smash the phone into pieces. “You won’t be needing this.” I say to Lexi.
“Is there a place we can hold her to interrogate her?” Knight asks Aurora as if this is a common occurrence.
She nods as if its no big deal that we want to interrogate what was someone she trusted.
She points at a door that I didn’t notice until now. “That leads down to a soundproof basement. I can’t.” she swallows tightly, “I can’t be there. I’m going to go check on Kason. Do what you must. I give you permission to do whatever it takes to see how deep her betrayal has gone.”
Knight nods as he drags a screaming Lexi down the stairs. Lucian and I walked over to our tearful mate. I kiss her forehead as he winds his arms around her back in a hug. I can feel her shuddering breath as if she was trying to not cry at Lexi’s betrayal. “We’ve got this. We’ve got you always.” Lucian whispers into her hair before letting her go and going down the stairs, closing the door behind him.
“How about I go with you and hang out with Kason while they do what they need to do. I’m the nerd I usually don’t do this part.”
She nods her lips coming up in a watery smile.
I was going to get to spend time with my little brother for the first time, and my mate was going to be at my side. Life was good.



Lucian
I never did like having to harm a woman. But Lexi was something else. She had been playing Aurora for years from what she gave up to Knight and me as soon as we started putting pressure on her. We lived for this part of being Gravin. Yeah, getting to be hot shit at Graven Prep was great but learning the techniques to draw out torture and killing someone, leaving no trace behind. It was something to be enjoyed.
She had been saving information on Aurora and Kason being a live for the last two years. Everything from locations they had stayed to where all of Aurora’s known banks where she had saved her money, who all had helped her stay hidden. The doctors that had cared for her in the hospital, the pediatricians that had taken care of Kason. She didn’t care who she threw under the bus. She wanted the power. She kept saying that all she wanted was to bond with us. To show her loyalty to us. She was preparing to send it to us she originally claimed, but that changed when I started breaking her fingers. She immediately admitted that it was really about to be sent to our dad.
Our dad who would have killed our mate immediately. We didn’t wait for permission. Knight pulled his gun from the holster and put a bullet between her eyes, as I called in a clean up crew. I rolled my head on my shoulders trying to relieve some of the tension that had built in the last five hours of interrogating the beta.
“Let’s get cleaned up.” Knight nodded to the bathroom on the side, “I’ll go grab our bag from the truck.”
I nodded and walking into the bathroom and pissed as I turned on the water. “Fuck.” I say as I pull my shirt over my head.
How could someone want to play an Omega the way Lexi was. Yeah, I get the jealousy because Omega were literally made to be with Alpha’s and Lexi would never get chosen over someone like Aurora. Not that Lexi wasn’t hot but because Lexi’s soul was too dark to depraved. Not that it mattered now. Lexi was rotting.
I stepped into the walk-in shower and leaned my head against the wall as the hot water relieved the ach in my shoulders and neck. Watching as the blood flowed down the shower drain. I grabbed the body wash from the shower and lifted it to my nose. Hydrangeas. Just like what I could smell when Aurora was around. I groaned. It was added to her natural sent enhancing it. I ached to wrap my hand around my cock. But knew Knight would be here anytime.
I quickly washed off and stepped out of the shower as Knight opened the door and stripped off and stepped into the shower. “Fuck, that was a lot.” He said as I quickly dressed in the sweats we kept in our go bag.
“No fucking joke.” I say as I pull my t-shirt over my head. “She didn’t care at all that she was signing their death warrant as long as she got what she wanted. Thinking that the disloyalty was going to gain her power or favor with our dad, so he’d force us to bond with her.”
He scoffs, “Like we would ever bond with someone who backstabs everyone around her. We may be young, but we aren’t stupid. Oh, shit this stuff smells good.” He says causing me to bark a laugh, guess he had found the body wash as well.
“Yeah, now we just got to tell Aurora that her best friend was planning to betray her and Kason.”
“And that I killed her to keep her safe.” Knight said.
“Fuck.”
