Chapter 40
Knight
My fist hit the drywall when we walked in and found our Omega missing, and no one would tell us what happened, no one saw what happened.
Nash had hacked into their camera system seeing a “nurse” walk into her room and wheel her out in a chair unconscious.
The feeling in the bond sluggish as if she had been drugged. It was over twenty-four hours later when we felt the bond wake up as we were closing in on a possible location of where she had been taken.
The fear in the bond was overwhelming. Growing stronger with every minute. We could feel her determination, then fear again.
Then pain, ungodly pain and I knew what we was feeling was our worst nightmares. Someone was assaulting our Omega, and we wasn’t there to protect her. Would she ever be able to forgive us for what she was having to live through. Would she survive this? Would our child?
“Fuck!” Lucian says into the headset we are all wearing, we have teams with us. Having found this was an Omega trafficking setup, they would sell out times for someone to force an omega to be with them before selling them over and over and over. Not caring that they were killing these individuals, as long as they got what they wanted, money and power. Its what it always come down to.
“On three we will breach at the same time.” I say into the comms.
Everyone agrees and I count down before kicking open the door on three and rushing into the building. Gagging at the sights in front of me. Alpha’s taking omegas against their wills. I shot at every Alpha I came across and opened cell doors and released the omegas, telling them to run outside to the buses we had waiting to take them to safety. We cleared three rooms before we entered the basement. I could hear a woman screaming for someone to stop, to take her instead. It wasn’t my omega, but I already knew that I wasn’t going to like what I was about to find.
I took a deep breath and turned the corner and broke. My omega lay bleeding as some alpha rutted into her. She was no longer fighting. Her eyes blank.
I wanted to cry but I had to save her. I took one shot and watched as it entered the fuckers head. The blow throwing chunks of his brain into the cell next to hers, covering the other omega.
His body fell on top of Aroura’s. I rushed and cut open the door and pushed him off of her. Wincing at the sight of blood around her vagina, I tore off my jacket and wrapped it around her.
“Baby, I’m here. Please don’t leave me.” I whisper as I ignore the rest of my team freeing the other Omegas.
“I’ve got you sweet girl. I’m sorry we were late.” I rocked her back and fourth in my arms as Nash and Lucian came running around the corner of the basement. Nash falling to his knees there at the sight of her in my arms. Blood on the ground underneath her.
Lucian screamed and ran into the cell and started kicking the dead man over and over again. Trying to release the anger at the site of what was done to our girl.
This was never something that she should have had to deal with. We should have protected her. We shouldn’t have walked out of her hospital room. One of us should have stayed with her. Then this would have never happened.
“We got to get her back to the hospital.” I say wiping my face against my arm to remove the tears. I sniffed, “She’s bleeding. We need to make sure she is okay. And the baby too. I don’t know if she’ll make it through this.”
“He raped her, didn’t he?” Nash whispered from the ground his eyes still locked on our omega.”
I nodded, from the look of it she fought him, but he overpowered her quickly, he was a good two hundred pounds heavier than him. She never stood a chance.
Nash stood up and walked over to me grabbing her out of my arms gently and carried her out of the basement without saying a word. I could feel everything through the bond.
His fear reflecting through the bond. Would Aroura be strong enough to make it through after something like this.
Most women struggled after being raped. Never reporting it for fear of not being believed, but to have been through everything that Aroura had been through in life and to have this ripped away from her. It made me sick. Made me wish I had delivered a slower death to the bastard I had found on top of my omega. We already knew who had sent them after her at the hospital. We were going to take that motherfucker down. He was going to wish he had never been born.
I grabbed Lucian and pulled him out of the cell and ran after Nash. Catching him right as he gently placed her in the back seat of the SUV. She wasn’t responding to him at all. Nothing but tears silently flowing down her cheeks. I was terrified we weren’t going to be able to bring her back after this. How are we going to save her?
“Baby, I need to know if anything else hurts.” He says as he pulls the seatbelt around her.
She doesn’t respond, just stares blankly out the window.
I could feel her horror, her pain, her fear of rejection from us, through the bond, “Baby we will never leave you. We just need to know if you are hurt anywhere else. We are going to take you to the hospital now. We are going to help you, just please talk to us.”
She closes her eyes and says nothing. The silence overwhelming. Enough was enough, we needed to take the last of Gravin down. No more omega’s needed to suffer like my omega was right now. No more omegas should feel what she is feeling right now. And knowing we couldn’t reach her now. That she was locking herself into her own mind, yeah, I wasn’t going to allow that to keep. She is our Omega, and we will show her that she is safe. Even if we have to burn the world down to make it to where she will never have to fear anything ever again.
