Chapter 53

Aroura

I was becoming anxious. Maybe I wasn’t ready to be reunited with my mates. I felt like I either wanted to break down and curl into a ball and beg for their forgiveness or I wanted to fight and push them away. Blame them for everything I’ve had to endure since losing my father and sister. I knew I had forgiven them for what they were forced to do as kids, but my soul was aching to destroy them at the same time.
They were why I was shot; they were why I no longer had anyone, they are the reason that man sexually assaulted me, they are the reason that I am the way I am now. Yet my heart, my soul was telling me that they were mine. That they would burn the world to the ground to protect us.
I shake off my thoughts and focus on getting Kason and Kara settled on the plane with Lena and Jaxon. I prayed I was doing the right thing sending them somewhere safe. I know my mates trust the alpha’s they are sending with them as protection, but I couldn’t help but feel like something was going to happen. I don’t think I could handle anymore bad things happening in my life.
“We asked some of your guys to join in the protection detail.” Nash says from behind me, causing me to jump because I hadn’t heard him walk up.
“really?” I ask, raising one eyebrow.
“I thought it would make you more comfortable. Secure knowing that people you trust are with them.”
I swallowed hard and nodded, “yeah thank you.” I sniffled at wiped at my eyes. “fuck sorry. I keep crying, I haven’t done that in months.”
He steps forward and takes me in his arms, and I breathe in his scent and sigh. The tension easing instantly.
“We will be back with them soon baby. Nothing is going to happen to our kids. We will make damn sure of it.”
I nod into his chest and just breathe.
The pilot walks up to me and says, “we are ready for take off. I’m sorry Aroura, we need to get ahead of the storms coming from the south.”
I nod and pull myself out of Nash’s arms and kiss Kason on the forehead and whisper to him to be good for Lena and to keep Kara safe until I get home. He smiled up at me. Giving me, then my mates hugs. I walked over to where Lena was holding Kara. Jaxon was holding a bottle to give to her on take off to keep her ears from hurting. I smile at them both.
“We will be back home soon, and after this we will never have to be apart again.”
Lena smiled, “We will keep them safe; I swear.”
I nod, “I know you will Lena, I don’t know how I would have survived without you both. But I need you to remember, if something happens to us, run, there are passports for all of you hidden in the duffle bag that’s next to Jaxon, I also pulled some of my funds and put it into accounts under those names. If something happens to us, you guys will get everything to keep our babies safe.”
“Aroura,” she starts.
“No promise me, Lena, promise me that if you hear we didn’t make it you run, you keep our babies away from these monsters, don’t ever look back.”
She nods. “Where would we go.”
“There is an island just off of Australia, I had a private home built there, You can only reach it by boat. The locals off the bigger island will be able to get you anything you need. Just keep them safe.”
She nods and hugs Kara to her breast tighter.
I smile and walk away. If I don’t, I will break down. I will force them to stay with me. I wipe the tears from my eyes and walk down the stairs of the plane and across the tarmac into the waiting SUV.
The guys followed a few minutes later, Knight hopping in the front seat, Nash slid in beside me as Lucian took the wheel.
“Alright, Omega lets get you home, we have a punishment to dish out, then a plan to make.”
I roll my eyes, “I already have a plan, we just have to implement it.”
“Ok, What’s the plan?” Knight asked.
“You will set up a meeting with your grandfather to meet for dinner, in a weeks’ time. If he agrees,” I swallow, “You three will pretend to betray me. You will tell him that you want to help take me down. If he takes the bait, you will bring him here, and I will kill him.”
“No, that’s a stupid plan.” Lucian growled as he pulled into the driveway.
“really?” I ask, “What would your plan be? Just go in balls to the wall and take him out that way?” I roll my eyes.
Nash looks over at me, “No baby, we will start with hacking in and taking away all his funds. We then send out incriminating evidence of what he has been doing over the years. Right before the FBI raids his home, we bash our way into his home and set it up to look like suicide. Then we go home and live our lives.”
I shake my head as I push my door open before anyone can open it for me, “You can’t think that’s going to work!”
“It will work, because I have already started it.” Nash says.
I turn to him my hair swirling around me as I put my hands on my hips and narrow my eyes, “You did what?” I snarl.
