Chapter 49

Knight

It had been a year since Aroura had drugged us and disappeared, if it wasn’t for the bond, I would think she was dead. However, I could feel her.
After the first six weeks of nothing, we had suddenly started getting a private plane full of Omega’s and Alpha’s that boasted of our courageous girl saving them. Yet, they didn’t know where they had come from, and Nash couldn’t find the information anywhere.
They all had similar stories, about having joined an app to meet their mate, before getting drugged and thrown into cages. Used as sex toys for sell to the highest bidders, Just as our Omega had been. It was sickening.
A few days after the first plane came in, the tech company that started the app was on the news with a FBI raid from an anonymous tip for human trafficking, with proof of thousands of missing alphas and omegas. Every stated that housed part of the company was raided and all the employees taken in. Hundreds are now in federal prison for what was found in the buildings.
We knew this had to be Aroura, but we still couldn’t find her. It was driving us crazy. We had started fulfilling our promise to her though. We refused to let her down even though we felt like our soul was missing.
“Okay, so I finally found the flight manifestations, they were well hidden, and Aroura has made the trail hard to follow because they never leave the same place twice. However she finally made a mistake.” Nash turns the computer to show Lucian and me. There on the screen was a video recording of our Omega, helping the victims onto the plane. I couldn’t help the sigh of relief that escaped at the sight of her. “Now, thanks to that mistake, I was able to track the car she got into, followed it through three states all the way to a private gated community. Where she got out at, and was welcomed to the door by Kason.”
“thank god.” Lucian whispered his eyes still locked on the video of our Omega.”
“Get this, she goes by Ms Wolfe. We could have found her sooner if we had just looked up our name. Yet when I look for information on her there is nothing. The home is registered to a private company that popped up six months ago called Lycan Inc. She’s playing with us.”
I laugh for the first time in a year. “She definatly is playing with fire. But at least we now know she’s safe.”
“And get this. She has been taking down some big players that we didn’t even know about. All leading up to this,” He clicked a button on the keyboard and popped up a photo of our grandfather.
“what the fuck!” I exclaim, “I thought he was dead?”
“So did I,” Nash says, “However, it looks like we got played by dad cause not only is the old bastard still alive he is the head of Gravin. He is tied to the tech company that got taken down a few months ago that was in connection to all the omegas that Aroura has been sending to us for safety.”
“How much do you want to bet that, that bastard who raped our girl bragged about all this and Aroura decided to take all this on her own.”
“I’d take that bet to the grave; our girl has always been to independent for her own good and would feel like she had to do this for her own sake. To get her revenge for what was done to her. She has split the attention, and they don’t know where to focus on because they are now getting hit on both sides.”
“I’ve done more digging into dear old grandfather, and looks like his illegitimate businesses are also taking a hit. She is playing hardball. And she has gathered more troops that are helping her in ways that we couldn’t have.” He says as he navigated to another screen.
“Somehow, she is bleeding him dry of his monetary assets and has started bank accounts for ever omega that has been found. She is legit taking him to the cleaners and setting these new omegas up with a way to support themselves.”
I scratch at the beard that had grown over the last few weeks, “How can we help her from here?”
He nods at the screen, “I was able to hack into the system inside her home, Jaxon is helping her with a lot of what she is doing. I’ve sent him an email, just waiting on a response.”
“Do you think that’s wise? What if it causes her to run again?” Lucian asks.
“I don’t think she’ll run again, she’s close to taking down the entire organization head on that end, and we’ve taken out over ninety percent on ours. I think she made this mistake on purpose. I think she knows it’s almost time for her to come back to us, or for us to find her, I think its time we stood beside her again. Help her get the revenge she is craving. We all know why. She deserves to have this chapter closed. She went through so much in such a short period of time that she never had a chance to just breathe. Lets prove to her that she can have her revenge against the organization that set her up to be kidnapped and forced against her will. She has show them that she is stronger than them.” I say.
“Just one major problem.” Nash says scratching the side of her nose.
“What’s that?” Lucian asks.
“This,” Nash turns the screen and I freeze, A birth certificate with Aroura’s name as the mother and us as the fathers is pulled up on the screen, for eight months after she disappeared.


Readers: Sorry for a shorter chapter, I have been going through some mental health stuff right now. My son who passed away two years ago, birthday was this week and I've cried none stop. I hope you all are doing well and I'm sorry for the weird filler chapters.
