Chapter 14

Aurora POV




I can’t believe I am sitting here watching Nash Wolfe play with Kason, as Lucian and Knight interrogate Lexi. Then again I am struggling to understand why Lexi would want to betray me? Has this been her plan all along. Was I truly that gullible? Or was she just that convincing.

Nash looks over at me, “Don’t over think things right now A, we will make sure you and Kason are safe from now on. You just got to believe in us.”

I laugh and roll my eyes, “That’s kind of hard to do when I’ve wanted revenge against all of you for the last six years.”

“I know, but we will do whatever it takes to show you that we can be the mates that you deserve. We want to claim you. To stand beside you. We want to protect you. I know it may be hard to understand right now, but from the moment you walked into Graven Prep we knew you belonged to us. And you really have to understand that back then we didn’t have the chance or the chose to do anything but become who our father wanted us to me. We didn’t ask for this. But due to his craving power we had to do what he wanted.”

I nod and hug my knees to my chest. I can understand that they were just kids when everything happened. I know I can’t change anything now. And I don’t want to deprive Kason of knowing his biological family, well other than his rapist of a father.

"Let’s order some food for everyone and we will sit down and talk more about things. I will tell you this now, we won’t be going back to that house. And the three of us don’t have anywhere else to go other than our dorm.” He says as he pulls out his phone to place an order for delivery. “now what would you guys like to eat?” he asks Kason.

“Chickee nuggs.” Kason says as he plays with the cars in front of him, “fries lots of ketchup.”

I smile at Kason and nod to Nash that it was okay for him to order that. “I honestly would kill for some chips and queso from Romos and their Texas Rice would be awesome, just no veggies. And maybe one of their chocolate lava cakes if that would be okay?” I ask as he starts to grin at me.

“So my omega has a sweet tooth, no wonder you are so sweet.” He says grinning causing me to blush as I try not dive to deeply on the My Omega stuff. But my Omega is squealing in my mind as she wants me to present for my alpha.

I shake away the thought as he looks down and finishes up the order and says it’ll be about thirty minutes before it gets here.

“That’s fine,” I say as I look over at Kason, “Lets go get your bath and into your jammies before we eat dinner.” He nods before putting away his toys and thanks Nash for playing with him before running to his bathroom and closing the door.

“I do it myself.” He says as I hear the bath water start and I’m giggling through the door. I shake my head and laugh as I walk to his room and pull out some little digger pajamas and his underwear.

I stop as Nash walks up behind me and pulls me to his chest my back to his front. He places his head on my shoulder, “You’re a damn good mom Aurora, I know it isn’t how you planned, but he is so lucky to have you.”

I nod as I try to keep from crying. I needed to hear that. I needed the reassurance that I was not fucking everything up as a mom at my age. I know I will never be able to replace my sister. But I loved Kason with everything in me and I would burn the world down, take a bullet, run in front of a train if it meant saving him. No evil would ever have the chance to touch him. Not as long as I was alive and able to keep him safe.

“Thank you.” I whispered.

He pressed a kiss to my shoulder before releasing me and walking back to the playroom. I took a deep breath before walking to the bathroom door and checking on Kason. I was overwhelmed and needed to focus. I couldn’t allow myself to be distracted no matter how badly my Omega wanted to bend over for them. I needed to be a hundred percent sure that they would do whatever it takes to keep us all safe.

I could hear the other guys in the playroom as I helped Kason finish up and get dressed. I brushed his curls gently before putting the leave in conditioner in to help keep them from getting tangled. When we left the bathroom, the boys were no longer in the playroom, I held Kason’s hand as we went in search of the guys.

We walk down the stairs and find them in the kitchen unloading the bags from the restaurant on the counter. Nash was searching for the plates as Knight located the forks. Lucian was pulling the containers out of the bag. I froze for a moment.

This could be life forever if I gave into them. If I allowed them to claim me. Make them my mates, my alphas.

I wanted it so badly I could almost taste it. I picked up Kason and carried him forward. I wasn’t going to let fear hold me back and more. I want the three alpha’s in front of me. They we’re just going to have to earn me first.

And from the looks they were shooting my way they was ready to earn me.


Lucian POV

I could smell her everywhere in this house. I wanted to roll in her scent. Mark her, Claim her, breed her until all anyone could smell with her scent was mine mixed with it. Yes, I wouldn’t mind sharing with Knight and Nash, but there was something electric about the way Aurora smelled to me.
I wanted to prove that I could be the good man she deserved as well as the man who would burn the world to the ground if anyone even tried to take her from me. The world we were a part of was evil. And the more Gravin wanted us to take over the more dangerous it was. We had money, that wasn’t the problem. But what people really wanted was power. Power was more valuable than anything else in this world.
Omega’s didn’t have a lot of power; we had seen many in Gravin using their Omega’s as a way to earn more power. By giving their heats away, by selling them against their wills. It didn’t matter that we had bought many of the omegas and hid them away or found them new packs. Even if we become the head of Gravin, Aurora could be used against us, as a weakness.
I took a deep breath and watched as she stopped with Kason and watched us. I wanted to smirk but did not want to cause her to panic. I could smell her stress as she nodded to herself and walked toward us.
Yeah, my Omega wanted us, and I think she was done fighting the feelings. Now was the time for us to step up as her Alpha’s and prove to her that we would destroy this world to keep her and Kason safe.
I walked over to her and Kason and pressed a kiss against her forehead.
“Hey baby, lets eat.” I grab her hand gently in mine and walk her and Kason over to the table. Kason sits on one side of her, and I quickly nab the other much to the frustrations of my brothers. I flipped them off as I sat down and put her meal in front of her and the chicken and French fries in front of Kason with enough ketchup to kill someone.
We kept the conversation around Kason light. Getting to know him and seeing his big personality only made my Alpha want to protect him even more. I was determined to keep him safe. He should never have to worry about anything ever again.
I saw Knight watching him with so much love in his eyes that it caught me off guard. I leaned into Aurora, “Thank you. For letting us meet him. I know I can say this for myself and the others, We love him already. And You being our Omega is honestly one of the best things that has happened to us in years.”
She looks at me, her bright green eyes bright. Her scent intensifies as her eyes lock on my lips.
She bites hers and looks away blushing,
I grin then, yeah, my baby wants me. I reached into my pocket and pulled out a box.
“I wanted to give you the first courting gift from all of us.” I say as I lay the thin box in front of her.
“I’m not a jewelry kind of Omega.” She says laughing but taking the silver ribbon off of the box anyway. She stops breathing for a moment when she lifts the lids and spots a new knife that is engraved with her families crest. She gently places the lid next to it, before reaching out and touching the knife. Her eyes full of tears.
“How did you?” she starts.
I lift my hand to her cheek and gently wipe the tears away.
“We knew that you was you fairly easily, I had a rush order for this to be made by a buddy of mine who owns a laser printer. It’s one of the best knives for Omega’s to carry for their safety. I would honestly love if you would keep this on you at all times for safety.”
She nods and takes it out of the box and closes the knife and puts it in her pocket.
She kisses my cheek, “Thank you, That was better than anything you could have gotten me.”
“Well, I already know you can be a bit of a bad ass with a pencil, so I thought a blade would make you even more of a bad ass.”
She giggles and smiles at my words. Yeah, they were corny as fuck, but I made my omega smile, and my alpha was feeling really damn smug about the fact.
