Chapter 18

Aurora

I wake up slowly, my head hurts but no one is in my direct line of sight. I wiggle my hands and my feet and find that I am not tied up. Obviously, whoever has me didn’t know to tie me up. They definitely fucked up there. My head was sore but not so bad that I couldn’t fight if need be. I subtly checked my pocket and find the knife my alphas had given me. I grin, whoever has me really fucked up.
I sit up slowly allowing myself to time to keep my head from spinning from the pain. My eyes focusing, I was in a basement of some sort with actual cells, like a dungeon from way back when. The walls damp and smell strongly of mildew. I winkled my nose at the stench and saw that the cell door was similar to a jail cell.
I touch my head gently and smile even more when I feel my hidden lock pick set that was hidden in my scrunchie. These guys had to be amateurs, or they seriously thought no one was going to be able to escape. I stand slowly not making any noise to keep from attracting attention. I put one hand through the door and quickly made work of the lock before it opened. I sighed with relief as I stepped out of the cell and looked around. I noticed fifteen other closed cell doors. I peeked in the one next to mind finding a young Omega, maybe fourteen years old curled up in a ball in the corner. I snarled under my breath quickly holding my finger to my lips.
She looked up at me and nodded, crawling toward the cell door as I made quick work of opening it. I went through and opened all the doors finding enough Omega’s that I quickly figured out what was happening. These we’re the stolen Omegas. Someone was planning on selling them.
I gritted my teeth and whispered for them to keep quiet. Luckily, they all listened to me. I peered around the next corner and grimaced, more Omega’s locked in cages. They all looked at me with fear in their eyes. I lifted my hand to my lips once again asking for silence. They all locked their eyes on me as I kept opening the cages, until I found the last adding up to over sixty omegas. I wanted to sit down and cry at the injustice of it all but I refused to let us be found and stuck in this situation.
“Stay here,” I whispered, “I’m going to check the door at the stairs, once its clear I will come for you all. I felt in my pocket and found my phone, these guys seriously didn’t check me for anything. I handed the phone to the first Omega I found, “Call Nash, stand at the top of the stairs, tell him what is going on. He will ping my location, he will get us help.” She nodded solemnly at me. I unlocked the phone and watched as she called him before I opened the door and eased it closed behind me.
I found a man asleep at what I assumed was a kitchen table. I guess he was supposed to be security. I flipped open the knife. I hope this thing was sharp enough. I took a deep breath and released it as I slammed the knife through his back and straight into his back. He never made a sound as his body flopped to the side blood quickly pooling under him. I pulled the knife from his back and grabbed the gun that was in a holster at his waist.
I checked the magazine and eased my way toward the doorway. Another man sat in a recliner with his feet propped up. I silently made my way behind him. I took a deep breath before I quickly slit his throat. Trying to not gag as I hit the artery and the blood spewed out, hitting as high as the ceiling. He grabbed his throat and tried to move before his body gave out and he flopped to the side of the chair.
Two down, who knew how many was left. I grabbed his gun as well smiling at the sight of the silencer. Good, I could use this and take care of any more men before helping the girls to get out of this nightmare.
My omega was begging me to curl up and not be where I was. But I couldn’t give in to her needs. I needed to focus on making sure I got out of here safely so I could get back to Kason and My alphas. Not finding anymore men on the floor, I eased my way up the stairs and gawked. They seriously only had to men on the inside to guard sixty Omegas. But I guess it was because most people underestimate Omegas. Thinking we are the weak gender.
I scoffed as I looked outside and found my Alpha’s already outside dispatching the other guards. Oh thank god. They were here.
I ran down the stairs and opened the front door, I saw another Alpha coming up behind Lucian and took a quick shot taking him down. I saw Lucian glance over at me and smile.
I turned the corner and found an Alpha on top of Knight trying to choke him out. Before he could scent me, I slammed my knife into his rib cage from behind. Knight quickly grabbed the knife and pulled it out before thrusting it through the front of his chest.
Knight ignored the blood as he quickly said, “thanks love.”
I smiled and nodded. All the guards were taken down. I watched as six buses pulled up in front of us. I looked over at Knight my eyes wide.
“It’s okay A, they are here for the omegas. To get them to safety.” He says.
Lucian came up behind me throwing his arm over my shoulder. “Of fucking course you didn’t need us to save you. I knew my girl was a bad ass.”
I laugh and push him off me before walking back into that house of horrors, opening the door to the basement where the Omegas was standing there. The cries of joy at the sight of me and the scent of relief coming from so many overwhelmed me. I smiled at them all, “You are safe now, come with me. We’re getting out of here.”
They slowly follow me outside, Lucian and Knight stood by the buses their eyes wide as they took in the magnitude of Omegas we had just saved.
