CHAPTER 42

This swimming pool duct tape situation has too many mechanics to be understood now I have no idea what to do. Suddenly I even have no idea where to go anymore as if I am lost for the first time in my life. But I know I can’t stay here and I have to be out and find a new place soon and that scares the hell out of me. I can not continue to lead this half-life as we sit and wait for this unpredictable future.

Come tomorrow. Tomorrow I will decide. Stay or go. Fight or flee. Yet whatever I pick, I will do it in my way, free from any control from anyone else. If there is one lesson this year must have taught me, is the fact that I am more powerful than I could ever think of. And I will face everything that follows it, directly. "

Amelia laid down the pen, such an effort being a brand new one that caused her hand to stiffen. While going through her writing several emotions came over her. It is a tangled, frantic ball of fear and anger, determination and hope that squeezed her and at the same time sparked her back to life.

To her surprise, she found the journal almost half an inch thick and was about to shut it when she heard a loud noise outside. Amelia felt her carnal and spectral senses come to life fully so she stood still. Again, there was the noise of the leaves and another snap of a twig. Yes, there was a person outside.

Amelia hardly moved her heartbeat and slowly moved towards the window. This is because the rain had ceased hence resulting in the formation of mist in the forest. She initially saw nothing. However, there was the seeming shadow that seemed to be moving from one tree to another. A figure that was hovering at a distance was difficult to identify but could be assumed as being from the human species.

Amelia's thoughts raced. Had someone found her? Could it be that it was someone from the previous pack that was sent to eliminate the nuisance that she was turned into, to them? Alternatively, might it be. . . No, to hope, she did not succumb. Never again.

Without a word, Amelia pulled out the small cache of weapons that would be hidden under a floorboard. A silver knife which when held by a werewolf, will prove fatal. A stake in case it happens is the last phrase that means people and companies may need to have an interest in an outcome in case of some event occurrence. Also, she kept a vial of wolfsbane and she prayed that she would not need it.

It would be the same feeling as always that Amelia felt as she readies herself with the weapons. At least this was home territory; this was something about which they at least knew the score. She was going to confront and fight whatever or whoever was out there. The second approach is to stop the act of concealing. Version Put an end to waiting.

A possibility of the figure being an occupant of the house slowly drew nearer to the cabin as the fog was denser from this distance. Amelia moved closer to the door and raised her weapons. Clenching her fists she realized the impending attack and prepared as much as she could.

Something knocks at the door. Firm and self-assured. Not the demeanor of a man who is stalking her to get her in a vulnerable spot. Amelia hesitated for a moment before taking the handle of the door which was in front of her.

“Amelia?” a recognizable voice yelled. “Amelia, it is time” The knocking began again; louder this time “Amelia, it’s time. Open the door. ”

Elijah. It became horror in the face of Amelia and started breathing heavily. He was here after a year of silence, more often concerns, and many times fear. What did it mean, though?

Amelia took her hand and jerked it open, pulling the door wide. He remained there, and although he was taller, his general look was not far from when they had last seen each other a year prior. However, the light of exhaustion could be vaguely seen in his eyes which was absent earlier.

“What is happening?” Amelia was stepping up for herself and was avoiding the chit-chat part of it. "What brings you here?"

Elijah stared at her, noting the armor she had on, the weapons she was carrying, and the determination in her eyes. He brushed one hand across his lips and a rather forlorn smile appeared on his face. He said softly, “You are ready. ” “All right. This below means that that fire is going to be necessary. Since you have to escape from this place. The compromise on your location has been made.

Amelia did not give much space to Ken per allowing her guard down; she continued; “Explain what you mean. ” Elijah I swear to you that if you do not start giving me correct answers I am going to be upset with you. . .

Elijah stopped her, ‘You cannot go home. ‘ ‘Back to pack, my dear, We still have a lot of time to bring a full stop to this issue and get back the things that belong to us.

Shock and relief went through Amelia making her knees weak. She said in a whisper, barely daring she could hope, “Bruce?”

Elijah's face went gloomy. It’s possible Bruce needs us, but what he wants is for you to live, a line that was uttered with a hint of sadness. There has been some disappointment Some things have not turned out the way we expected Ema is more than we bargained for You are needed by the pack, Amelia, you need to live.

Amelia went through the cycle of being happy that she could go back home, scared of what she could find out, and angry that she had not told the truth all this time. But beneath it all there was a resolve that was as hard as steel. She was going to confront everything that had been done to her and everything that would be done.

Amelia let Elijah in her cabin and ordered: “I need to know everything” “Do not leave out a single detail, I need to know the life I am trying to dodge. ”

As soon as Elijah began to explain the past year and their current status, Amelia felt the adrenaline rush her, the need to fight the enemy. Her fear ended, and along with it all those insecurities, and what she felt was the anger, the desire to fight. Amelia was hunted down by the Vampires this is after Ema disclosed to them her identity.

Running far from home was the complete idea. This is further from her pack, Further from Bruce. And anyone, man or woman who dared to cross her path, may the heavens be those scoundrels whole.

Amelia and Elijah went their separate ways once the extremities of the day began to cast the lengthened sharp shadows in the forests. Beside her, the small cabin that had been her prison for a year was gone out of sight. The task was to come into so unfamiliar a world that nothing was certain, the risks were high, and the chance of a joyful meeting with close relatives shortly.

Amelia stood there for a moment, then deliberately moved forward, and adjusted her stance. She was unsure of what would await her outside of the pack lands, but one thing was certain: she had to live to the next day. I am done waiting. But all the spirit and give in her were of being half human and half were would stand her in good stead to face whatever lay ahead.

Everything had reached a turning point and patience had taken its toll. Thus, it was important for her to discover how she would be able to live in the wild now. She looked back at the cabin one more time before she began what would be a long and dangerous trip.
