CHAPTER 75
Sarah was all geared up ready to pounce on her enemies, ‘A very funny way of showing it, to attack her by daylight. ’
Then Mara, the master of the bow, pointed out. It was something we had to do; there are powers beyond the four of us at play here; for Amelia’s sake, she has to come with us.
Amelia's head spun. It was amusing that everybody wanted to take her side, to protect her from something or someone. She was tired of being used as a mere chess piece in a game in which she did not have any clue.
That was it, she exclaimed, and it sounded like she meant business, which somehow she did not expect from herself. ‘What is going on here?’ she exclaimed, not falling for anything they had to say,
A complex surge of emotions was observed on Ema’s face and they are determination, concern, and embarrassment. “It is rather complicated, Amelia There is a lot that you do not know and we thought we were hiding it from you for the better. ”
"Complicated or not, I am certain we are not on the same team, Ema. After all, you had done to me, You and I can never be on the same team. That ship had sailed a long time ago"
"Amelia, can you just push everything aside and let us get out of here and this situation?"
"How am I certain that I wouldn't be safer with them, than with you?" rage and anger could be seen all over her eyes, her beautiful face had begun to take the color Red. Amelia continued to fire on "For a long time, I have been on the run and you are the main reason, just because you felt I took what belonged to you"
"You took what belonged to me, and you knew it"
"I thought we were friends, Ema," Amelia said weakly
"We are still friends, I don't want you to die"
Amelia scoffed, "You sent people after my life, Hell I am certain you are the reason these people even know about my existence, you are the reason why I can't even get a chance at a normal life"
Ema stood there, quietly searching for the right words to say and at that moment, there were no right words
There was a moment’s silence in the group. Ema and Sarah checked their opponent actively, it was evident that none of the two wanted to lose to the other. The confrontation might have gone on indefinitely if not for the noise of coming cars.
“Bloody hell,” cursed Lucas, the striped thief. "They've found us. "
The atmosphere shifted immediately. As far as one could judge the situation, the women from Ema’s group and Sarah were entirely in agreement with their intent: it was necessary to prevent Amelia from getting to these new enemies.
“I think it is high time we moved,” Ema insisted. “Sarah, I do know that you don’t trust us but at the moment we need to set our differences aside. ”
Sarah paused for a second before frowning and giving her head a brief jerk in assent. “Okay. But this doesn’t make me leave Amelia to your disposal. ”
Amelia looked at Sarah,
"Don't worry, I have seen worse"
They all ran out to areas even further away building up the distance from the hunters as much as they could. Amelia’s thoughts filled with a thousand questions, as she tried to understand what was going on. That was the question, who were these people hunting them down? What did they want? And where did Ema and Rogues fit into all of this?
Amelia heard Ema running beside her, having caught up to her. Despite everything she was glad to have a familiar face near her again, she felt a stir of a guilty peace.
“Ema,” she panted when they were dodging the other branches. They both force their relief as they cover more distance in their supernatural being "Could you just tell me what’s going on and why everyone is chasing us?"
When she was going to expound on it, someone shouted from behind. Those on their heels had caught up.
They emerged abruptly on a small glade, only to see that the way was barred by additional armed shapes, advancing from the woods. Just then, Amelia realized that they had been surrounded.
“It is finished,” one of the men said in a deadly serious tone of voice earning triumph. ‘Give me the girl’, he said, ‘and the rest of you might just escape this. ‘
Ema and her rogues stood in front of Amelia placing themselves around her most of them holding guns. Sarah stood with them, the barrel of her gun trained on the first of the attackers.
‘No way,’ scowled Lucas,
The standoff only took several moments before the forest turned into pandemonium. There were shrill guns firing from the trees as battle commenced. Amelia awoke to be dragged to the floor by Sarah and covered by the older woman’s body from the most destructive battles.
But despite that, Ema’s group was in the minority. This time, however, Mara’s arrow was knocked out of her hand by an armored bodice spinning her around before she could shoot again. Tiredness slowed Lucas and he was managing to fight two attackers at once, as was his wont.
Enemies after Enemies both the Werewolves and the Vampires were hitting the intended target but with everyone going down two more seemed to take their place from Sarah. Ema, who, thanks to all her fighting abilities, was constantly getting the upper end of the stick at the hands of monsters.
Amelia felt utterly helpless as she continued to slay the people who had come to abduct her she paid more attention to these people – her friends – who were fighting and possibly dying for her, and she did not even bother to find out why.
Sweat and the stinging of tears from frustration and fear filled her face as she saw the segregation shifting toward the enemy.
Right when everything appeared to be lost, a shriek that went through the bone was heard.
All the fighting came to a sudden pause and everyone present at the scene looked in the direction of the loud sound. They turned and there, at the edge of the clearing were two such men that made Amelia’s heart jump.
Bruce is giant and stormy, looking straight at the camera, his eyes revealing more anger than I can afford to feel. Beside him, scowling and looking very determined, was Elijah
