Chapter 21

Hunter does everything in his power to get away from Vixen. It's not easy. In fact, it is distracting every time he puts himself in the place where she is, and now that he is surrounded by so many people he will have no excuse to be in such an enclosed presence with her. When he watched her come down from her carriage, he had a bead in his hand already.
Hunter knew she had to give it to him. He doesn't know why he has held on to it for so long. It is the reason why he has created such a relationship between them in those months but one thing he knows is that just wasn't going to help anyone. And especially what happened earlier. He was the king's brother, and she was the king's bride to be.
This is something that everyone would make a story about if word even got out for, and because he was going to not allow that happen. He made sure he put a stop to it. And as he sets out of the grand ball, everyone is trying to have a conversation with him.
There are women at every side of the room, young ones, middle aged women, all types of women who are from one corner of the room to another, even if he was in the age of forty. Still women at every age were still flashing their eyelashes at him and exposing all the idea to expose but he was not in the least interested in there.
After storming out of the room, due to the way everyone kept re approaching him in such a manner that he could not conquer. He finally gets to a quiet spot in the bowl. And then he finds some sort of silence as he finds himself away from the Grand ball but there are still around people but not so much that he cannot run away from.
Hunter takes a deep breath as he closes his eyes and he uses all of his strengths and all that he really had to push vixen the way he would not lie. It was one of the hardest things to do did not think that he would be able to pull it off in fact, but at least he was able to do so. And just as he's about to say that he finds that a hand that grabs him and the moment he looks at the person that grabs him he finds it to be Vixen.
He is about to hold her accountable for coming back to meet him after he had essentially cut the bond between them but she grabs him even before he can say one or two things as she closes the door of what he doesn't really know where he is at the moment.
Vixen, what is the meaning of this? "I thought…"
Shut up! She says to him as she looks around the room.
Someone knows! Vixen says and he looks at her is, quite confused.
He doesn't understand what she's talking about.
He is wondering why she has brought them into this room. They were trying to get away from anything that could match them together and yet she had to bring him here. And they are not just the ones in this ball. There's about a hundred of people and yet she had to pull off this kind of deal today.
"Listen, listen to me." I've given you your bead. I've told you what I wanted to tell you and I have nothing to tell you anymore. Do not continue to pester me like this. I thought you wanted to be queen. Do you know that this will not bring about your motive? He says to her and she closes her eyes and holds him by the shoulder.
I said someone knows about us and all that happened in the storage room. Vixen makes him look at her face and he looks at her.
His eyes are filled with something. Hunter cannot believe that such
a thing that would happen in a spawn of the moment we'll get out of and he doesn't know what to say.
That can t be true. He says to her and she nods her head in acknowledgment of what she says.
It is true.
Who is this person? He asks and she looks at him as she begins to pace around the room, one place at a time.
"He is a guest, his name is lord Nathan and he his from the Arab clan." He told me he told me that he knows that we did something.
What do we do? She says and then grabs on to her. He needs all of the information he can get out of her so that he will be able to conquer this kind of an issue. And so he grabs a hold of her and tries to get the information that he needs.
"I need you to look me in the eyes and tell me what he said to you." He says and Vixen nods her head as she tries to get all of the information back once again.
He talked about us and then, my bead. I don't know why he talked about my bead. The moment she says that, Hunter looks at her bead on her hand and looks back at her.
He told me that if I do not give him my bead he will tell everyone about us. What is it about your bead? He asks as he looks at the bead and she places are hand upon it.
Whatever is this nonsense!? Did you acknowledge the fact that there was something that happened between us in the first place?
"No one knows a word, I promise." First of all, this that you have done is going to violate suspicion and who knows whether someone is watching this. And now we're in the same room. If they wanted to catch us, he would have done it already. He says to her and she looks at him, fear in every part of her eyes, to the extent to which she thinks if her father heard a word of this or her stepmother.
She would not even delight in that at any moment in time. If anyone wants to grasp information about this, she would be baked beans, and she doesn't even care about him but she cares about her own reputation the more. It would be better if she called off the marriage with the king rather than to be caught behind closed doors with the man of Southland.
What are we going to do? She asks and Hunter looks at her.
Isn t it quite stupid for him to ask for your bead in order not to expose this? I don't know what this is.
Hunter, listen to me. She says to him and he looks at her trying to know what lie he wants to cook up again.
"If he asks me to give him my bead, I cannot do that." She says to him and he arches an eyebrow in question as it doesn't understand where she's coming from.
"It is just a stupid bead." He says to her and she yells back at him.
No it isn't! It isn't just a stupid bead. This bead gives me life. She says and he doesn't understand a word that she speaks from the mouth.
What's this nonsense? What are you even saying vixen? This is not the time to joke around. You have to come into reality of what is actually going on here.
I'm not joking around, Hunter. It gives me life and if I didn't have it with me at all times. I would lose my life, I would lose my energy. She says and as if that isn t bad enough.
Hunter hits the bead away from her hand and all of the pebbles fall down and begins to roll off the floor and then he looks at her eyes. Her eyes cannot believe it as she sees what he has made out of a bead vixen she doesn't know how to control her emotions as she finds that he has caught a bead and pebbles are rolling around onto the floor.
Do you not see?
What is this nonsense you're spouting? First of all, I understand what this is. This is all some sort of joke, huh? Do you think this is a joke? You use this to track me in to the storage room and now you've come up with such stupid story.
Your bead gives you life? And then some man named Nathan who has never come not even visited the castle before for some reason knows about what happened in that storage room. And what/ He claims to stop threatening you if you were to give him the stupid bead that I have torn into pieces. It gives you life and yet it was not strong enough to stay when I took it away from you. He says and he is about to place his leg on one of the bead in order to smash it but she gets down on her knees immediately and places her hand upon it before he can do that.
She begins to pick the entire pebbles one after the other and he stares at her as if he's watching it in some kind of mad rage. After she's doing that he drags her with one hand and forces her to look at him as he drags out from my feet.
Vixen! He says and she has tears rolling out of her eyes as she pushes him.
Do not touch me. She says to him, but she's not strong enough to get him away from him.
Open your eyes. I don't know what is wrong with you. I do not even care at the slightest what the matter is with you, but do not ever lie to me in such a way. Do not ever show your face in front of me. He says as he pushes her and he barges out of the room.
Vixen falls on her feet. It is as if she never ever had anything that he said as she begins to go back onto the ground and pick every single pebble that has fallen off on the ground. As she begins to pick his she finds the string and she begins to fix it back into the string.
She stays on her knee until she puts all of these together, back together just the way she knows it to be. Vixen also uses her teeth to set it together and then wears it back upon her wrist. And then, she takes a deep breath as she replays the fact that he does not believe her.
