Chapter 38

Vixen doesn't have an option. She doesn't know what to do in order to get away from this place that David put her and to think that he would dare to come close to her in such a context makes her heart blood boil. How dare he lay a finger on her? He has no right to try to treat her this way and to think she was about to marry this man who is definitely hungry to have her or something, much more than she has realized and after that, seeing all of this while, she could see it in his eyes without fail, the passion that's lurked in it.
How could she pretend as if she did not see it in all this while? It was always there. It never left. It was always vibrant and evident in his eyes, and the more she chose to pretend as if it wasn't there. His motive proved to be stronger and tonight was just an example of what it was becoming. She did not let him in.
Vixen needed someone's help or that of her father's to stand up once and for all. David did not want her to have a backup person which is why instead of putting her under house arrest, he chose to lock her up in the castle. She cannot even believe that he will keep her locked up in his castle. What if they were to get married, who knows how he would treat her then if she were to say no to him in just one night.
She paces around the room and places a hand on her forehead, as she closes her eyes. There is a lot to think about really a lot. She cannot even begin to understand why he has treated her this way.
Her father, Richard is not going to let any man treated her in any way. And as much as it made sense for her father to not take her seriously because of what was at stake, she needed his help more than ever.
It would hurt her because at this point in time, she was losing already. And if they did not come up with help, something at least there would be no solution. She looks around the room. She can't wait to leave these premises. She wants to get out of here immediately and she needs someone to help her to do that. The longer she gets imprisoned in this place, the chances of remaining here increases.
Vixen thought about Susan, the more she waited here the more the chances of Susan doing something crazy heightens. She would not have any patience to wait for her. And the longer that took; she may do something that she will regret later. It is hard to think that Susan may be going out of her mind right now.
And there would be no one to calm her down when it exceeds, not even Emerald, they would never be enough to calm the girl down. It was annoying, terrible, in fact, she needed someone soon to help her get away from David.
Perhaps, not just for herself but least in order to save her friend from doing the most terrible thing. She constantly moves around the room from one place to another she can't seem to stay in one position. When will she be able to leave this place? Will she be able to leave? She thinks to herself as she sits on the bed.
Finally, Vixen is tired of moving from one place to another as her mind is sharp as ever. She cannot stop thinking of what was going on outside , and waiting outside the room and she could tell that they have been instructed to not let her leave so easily. It would be hard for her to even step away for a second from this place.
That is the only thing she has to do, to find a way to leave this place. And then she looks around, Vixen can see that there are candles everywhere. And the answer to how she can get out of the room has come, to that she takes the kind of face she thinks as before she does what she wants to but she knows this is her only option to be able to let herself out of this room.
She picks up the candle and throws it unto the curtains and bed sheets and fire begins to spread around as she steps back from it. Vixen goes to the door and begins to hit it to create awareness. She screams as he hits the door, hoping that they would take her seriously. Or was it until the flames of this room were to spread out.
Open the door, the room is on fire. She says as she begins to watch the fire as double and triple itself as it moves from both sides or another. She begins to hit the door and hopefully they may not open it, thinking that it is a plan she is using to get out of which it was honestly.
It was a plan to get out of the room easily. Perhaps, it would take a lot of smoke to spread everywhere to make everyone understand what she was talking about. And then, maybe it would definitely kill her before the fire could be considered a truth. She thinks to herself as she continues to hit the door and then she begins to cough.
As much as they may not believe her but hopefully the moment the smoke begins to release itself outside, they would come help her and realize what she's talking about. And they begin to open the room door and the moment they open it, she is almost out of breath and the men begin to gather each other to put off the light.
Neither of them realize that her after they pull her out of the room and they forget to keep a close eye and she uses the opportunity to begin to run out of the castle. She understands every crook and cranny of the castle like no man's business and she uses this to begin to get out of the hall room.
She places a hand on her own on her chest as she has a lot to cough out. But it is not so tough that she cannot under she begin to lead herself into the passage. Vixen steps in front of another passage and she finds the king and he is standing right in front of her.
Vixen stands in front of him as she looks at him, shock in every part of her face as she finds him in front of her.
"Vixen." The king says to her and he pulls up by the hand as he tries to let go of him.
Really? You set the room on fire so you could leave and escaped me, didn't you? He says and he looks at his guards.
"Make sure that the fire is put off, I see that you want to leave so badly then you'll be coming with me." He says to as it begins to drag her hand and she tries to remove herself from him but it's of no use as he has bound her to him.
"David you cannot do this to me." You cannot keep me forever. Vixen says.
Says who? I can keep you here for as long as I want. He says and she's surprised at the way he chooses his words.
What kind of man are you that would deprive a woman of her freedom? Vixen says.
And what kind of woman are you that would deprive a man of his love? You know I love you and yet you choose to let me go, Is it because of Hunter? That man is already getting into your head. You cannot spend the rest of his life with you. David says.
For goodness sake, do I really have to explain this to you? She says to him and he rolls her eyes.
"I did not ask for an explanation. I told you I'm choosing you instead of letting you go, but yet you feel so sick. You want to look the other side, you do not care what I feel." I do care of what if you do not say that to me vixen. I do care. He says as he steps closer to her places his hands around her.
Don't touch me. She says as she removes his hand.
David looks at his mother who steps into the room. And vixen looks at the David.
What is the meaning of this in the castle? The queen says.
"It is taken care of already mother." You do not need to disturb yourself. David says.
This is my home. I'm definitely not disturbing myself if I think something is going wrong. She says and Vixen looks at her.
" You cannot continue to restrict her, she has a right to leave when she wants to leave." The woman says and the king steps closer towards her.
" I don't remember asking for your permission. "The king says, highly ignorant.
I don't remember giving you one. The queen replies.
