Chapter 99

David is surprised to the bottom of his heart. He can't ever begin to put the two together. How exactly was it possible for the Arab men to leave. Well, he had great mindsets for to actually take his country from small to greater welfare decided to just to without further notice move.

He did not understand it, and he was not willing to understand it at any point. What was the issue? What did he do wrong? He told himself many more times, but the Khalifa did not give him a solid reason for why he and his men were moving out of the islands.

He wonders if this person thinks they can rule Southland as if it was their homeland already, as if they were the king of it. David will not allow them choose to take up such courage when it comes to the land that he was king of.


He doesn't want if Hunter fought for the kingdom for many years. He is the one who sits on the throne and all will answer to him. And that is how it has always worked even before Hunter came back to Southland now all of a sudden, Hunter wants to ruin everything, it has been turned upside down, which isn't exactly true.

And he's distressed, he is so distressed and he has sent Hunter thousands of letters and explained for him to come to the throne room so that they can come up with an explanation but for some reason he has decided to pretend as if he has not seen either both of those formations.

The servants allow him wait at the receiving room so that he can go and fetch Hunter who comes downstairs minutes after his arrival. And the moment Hunter is our. He sends the servant who are on standby away immediately.

What is going on King? He asks and David looks at him like speaking of some sort of joke or whatever.

"You ask me what is going on? I find your question really funny Hunter because last time I realized I sent you thousands of message alleging you to come to the to address the Council and it's situation since you're the general and in all of those times."

"I see you have enough time to do whatever it is you are dosing." He says as he places his hand upon his chin.

"No, I haven't forgotten my responsibility but the truth is I did not just care anymore whether you king, Prince, Emperor or whatever it is you could ever attached to your name."

"I simply do not care why…why do you need me so much, you have the council members or is it because the council members have chosen not to come because of the absence of my arrival to I see it wants to use me to draw the council members in is it."

Isn't it? It is not as if you want to see my face but you need my presence so that you can appear to be king that essentially not just disclaim what I have said to the bitterness you felt for having betrayed you you chose to help your people.

"I've done that. All the praises from the outside, some people may think that this is a disadvantage so Southland because you let them applause those men that brought about trade but guess what?"

"If they had stayed in Southland any longer than they did then it would have been a disappointment."

Do not ever speak to me like I'm one of your men!? Hunter yells! I'm not an illegitimate son like yeah, I was born in royalty just like you were. And what do you even know about legitimacy? I am illegitimate, but you say you're legit. And yet you don't seem to protect your country the way you should. You let men who have nothing to show for who have no reason to step into our land to take what doesn't belong to them.

That's it! David yells and Hunter immediately removes a knife from his shirt and makes sure that he is aware of it as he faces it's towards Hunter.

"Wow." Hunter says.

"The next time I hear another word from your mouth that has you disclaiming me, I will not fail to put this wrote to put this into your throat." David says.

"I recommend that you think twice before you say something else because I do not wish to make a big issue out of this."

Hunter says as David places the knife towards him and gets much closer to David in front of the knife.

Do you think I would like to die by you!? Hunter says and he scoffs.

"David if you think I would like to lose my life in your hands." Can you even do it!! Plant it in my throat already like it's something you could ever do, he says and David views him in anger.

Keep your mouth shut! He says to Hunter who has see an individual roam around and it turns out to be Vixen, standing at the staircase.

"If you wanted to do something that you should do it already enough." You have a lot to say but there isn't actually in your words. I've not invited you to my house and I suggest that you leave right there immediately.

I will not be attending the castle, the council doesn't involve only me. I brought my advice to you and you disclaimed me for reasons that are personal to the affairs of the nation. So, guess what, maybe I'll do the same thing that you have done to me because of the personal beef we have between us.

And the moment David is about to do something that he feels like he will have to regret, he sees a shadow go upon the stairs and his eyes immediately sees her and he loses his next breath.

It literally breaks him when he realizes that it is her and for a quick moment he doesn't even know how to breathe anymore.


David not having much to see or rely on and isn't trying to put his heart back in that place. Vixen immediately steps away from the place she stands, his heart is filled with something and it reminds him all over again that he has lost her.
