Chapter 7
Her lips are swollen, plump and for the first time, Hunter felt weak. He couldn't control my own beating heart. She blinks and her eyes ran to my lips.
He was in awe at where her eyes were aimed at but truthfully I was doing the same thing. Hunter shifts my hands from her cheeks and wipes the bloody stain from her lips. He could have sworn she let her tongue glaze his thumb and that sent some kind of shivers to the ends of his spine.
It was more than surprising to him that he was able to stare at the lips of the eyes woman whom he views to have an ugly temperament. But somehow, for more than a split second he watches her lips as they draw him.
General Hunter pulls his thumb away from her after serious consideration.
What kind of idiot are you!? He barks her and she is shocked.
Why did you stay here for the rest of the night?
Why did you dismiss your attendants? What if something had happened to you in this quiet forest? How could you be so inconsiderate? He asks and he sees the wat she feels insulted.
Her eyes shines just liked the last time he insulted her, in-fact he was getting used to seeing the same kind of rage she always summoned.
You were supposed to meet me here last night and you didn't show up. What kind of a man doesn't follow his promise? I m sure others view as a a man it promise but you have broken a simple trust. General Hunter..:.my foot!! Vixen yells back.
"My bead means much to me and I will do anything to regain it back, including staying in this forest for another night if need be! She says."
Your bead!? Hunter says with an arched eyebrow when he realizes it all still centers around this stupid bead that they were still talking about. Hunter pushes his hair behind his face and he is about to give her a piece of his mind.
Yes, my bead. Give it to me. She says stretching her hand towards him.
You know what?
He asks her but was not expecting an answer.
"I have decided not to give it back." Hunter says retaining an inconsiderate and despotic charisma watching her bite her lips probably holding back some tears.
"You have proven to be immature and incapable, because of a bead, you forgot your title and duties." If you became the queen of Southland, what would you do when you do not give birth to a male heir!
Perhaps, kill all the maidens in Southland!? Hunter says.
You said you would give it back? Vixen says as a tear falls from her cheeks.
She walks away from him after clearing her cheeks but he didn't change his intentions about his bead and hd follows behind her making sure she didn't have another plan under her sleeves. They get closer to the horse and then she stops at the centre.
"I want to ease myself." She says silently.
Hunter searches around for any corner where she could do her affairs and before he instructs her, she walked away from me and he decides to be humble. I
He waits hoping she wasn't planning to run away or something, but he doubts that she will.
H slips due to a push from behind but he didn't land on his ass and when Hurter decides to face the person whose attempt to push him failed.
Vixen is standing there and smiling ridiculously at her failure.
What do you think you're doing? He says with her hands akimbo.
She took few steps back resting behind a tree and pulling out a knife. Immediately, he sees the connected ropes and finds himself in the middle of dead grasses. It could only?mean. Shit, a trap!
Hunter is bundled into a net rising all the way to the air and Vixen dusts her hands smiling at her predicament.
He is dangling in the air, rolled and stuffed in like a cotton ball, not even able to feel his own legs. This was her master plan all along. If only I had arrived yesterday them maybe he would have been faced with this.
He searches for his knife tucked in behind my shirt.
"Dear, General Hunter." She says in triumph. How high you are above.
She chuckles watching him while she twirled in circles.
"I will cut the story short because I do not have time to spare." I have to leave for a royal breakfast and I haven't even prepared. Give me my bead and I shall set you free. She commands.
What if I don't? He replies her and she laughs hysterically.
"I will take the horse and leave while the morning wolves and bears come to devour you."She explains.
"I don't think there are wolves actually. I mean, you stayed here for the whole night and you are still held together." You can leave me. I will be safe here. Hunter taunts her and she scoffs in bitterness.
Do you think I am stupid enough not to have another plan if this doesn't work out? I am determined to have my bead for better or worse! She replies folding her arms.
Hunter cuts through the thick ropes while she spoke about her plans to make me submit. She even suggested that she reported to the King but then I reminded her of the scene I met her in. She deleted the idea and he couldn't help but laugh at such naivety.
She was of young age in every aspect but it felt like he was learning something from her type of person.
Hunter continues cutting out the thick ropes, watching her in some eerie conduct. She said she was summoning the spirits of the forest to fight against me.
She danced around picking up the dead wet leaves and throwing it into the air. Hunter has forgotten I was trying to free myself from her shackles and I kept on laughing to her drama. It was such a scene to watch, a noble woman whom everyone assumed had intellect was actually an empty scone.
And normally, Hunter wasn t one that was opened to the ideas of jokes but she actually made him laugh. He didn t not even have time to correct himself from laughing at her foolishness.
She herself had a glint of smile that curved her cheeks as she fooled around forgetting she was doing this to threaten someone. It was when Hunter fell to the ground from her shackles that the smile fades away.
