Chapter 88

Vixen is moderately waiting for Hunter. Yes, she wanted to go by herself and let him know of what she add add from the woman will give her the bid in the first place. She wanted him to know her plans and all that she thinks they could do with that information should have gone alone but she knows it would be dangerous if they went alone and she waits for him.
Carefully, she moves from one place of where the house to the other and Hunter's mother is around, trying to understand what is wrong with her. She has not seen Vixen take a single position from one space to another and Beatrice wonders what the issue is. She still finds Vixen in the same place as she left her the last time
It feels like she should ask but the problem is that she's not trying to hear bad news so easily awfully. It has nothing to do with anyone and else. She thinks to herself as she moves from one place to another scene and Vixen is disturbed by matter.
And just like that, the doors open and Vixen runs towards the door where Hunter is, she can see that there is something has happened by the lo l on his face like something has definitely happened, and she doesn't quite understand it immediately.
Right before rushing to tell him what she wants to tell him. She stops moving from one place to another and instead she asks him what the problem is.
What has happened? Vixen asks as she looks at him and Hunter. He doesn't reply immediately.
"For goodness sake ", Hunter tell me there's something happened." His mother ask with urgency in her voice and she walks towards them.
Hunter finds his mother is in the center.
"The men...someone broke them out what." He says and Vixen's mouth drops.
"We can find him." Hunter says as she moves back feeling so much fear and pain from hearing the news. She cannot believe that the one thing that they to show the king has evidence that these people were not to be trustworthy has been taken right out of the hands between those who don't know how to take a hold of the information and she looks at Hunter.
And she realizes that what Alexa said was true. At the point, the king will not be able to move these men from their land. And they will not be able to do anything about it especially now that they can see that this men have good enough power to even break their men out of custody.
Vixen cannot believe where she lies right now, even her head is not in the right place right now. In fact, she chooses not to believe it as she stares at nowhere in particular.
Hunter looks at her and can tell she is freaking out even in her spaced silence:
What is going on? His mother says as she walks towards them.
Vixen turns her face to the door parkway and she begins to head upstairs and instead of answering his mother, Hunter follows immediately to calm her down.
He knows that she has been going through a lot lately and this has made her spike up the fears that she has already. She dashes into the room and he walks into the room to fix and wait. He says to her snd she looks at him.
"We can still..." Hunter tries to calm her down as he enters into the room.
"There is nothing we can do anymore." Hunter, do not even try to reckon with me that there is still something we can do.
We've lost the only proof that we had to put this man behind bars. Right now we have nothing anymore to put them behind bars the king did not want to believe us before even with the men we stood at a horrible chance.
"I've been believing you and now expect you to believe that? David will never believe us."
"Vixen, you need to calm down,"
"He hates what we've done to him and now we're just the ones fighting with these group of people." Vixen says.
"Do not be scared of it." Hunter says.
"How can you not tell me not to be scared?" I'm scared for my life. It is the both of us against those men.
"No, vixen." Hunter says to her and stops her from speaking. It is not the two of us against those men. It is you your father's men, my men who make up more than half of the men in Southland against those men.
"And I said, I will protect you." And I meant that. It wasn't a joke. It was in Childsplay. Do you understand that?
Yes, I understand but that doesn't stop me from being scared at the end of the day. I'm still frightened as ever. She says to him, and he places his hand on his head as he begins to move from one place to another.
"I understand that you're scared there." There is lot of fear from these men and yes, it come out strong come out like we've never seen before but trust me, I've been in the battlefield for a very long time and I've seen all types of men.
"Vixen, when I tell you that we have a chance of taking these men down." Hunter says.
Do you have a chance in taking these men down? She asks.
"Yes. We'll take care of this matter, I promise you."He says as he moves towards and wraps his arms around her.
She releases him when she realizes that she still has something to say say to him.
"Hunter, I met the woman who gave me the bead." Her name is Alexa, she told me that day that there is someone who must need to reach out to. This person can change the Khalifa's mind.
Vixen, do you really think. I would allow you two feet from me to Khalifa.
"Hunter...please." Alexa is his fiancee and somehow if you can get her to speak and change his mind then maybe we have a chance at solving this issue.
Hunter, we may actually have a chance at correcting this. Fortunately, we have to do everything in our power even if it is to meet up but someone who may try to help them especially when Khalif has one he fancies.
Alexa told me that there's a way we can end all of this and I believe we can do something about it.
Vixen says as he folds his hand as he looks at her .
I swear...I do not know what to believe. It is a s hard to believe that this is our problem, I want us to be be forever. I want to see your eyes I want to wake in your arms every day.
"That's all I know." She says and Hunter kisses her some slowly and before she can release hm, he grabs her and carries her to his body as she uses her legs to surround him.
The moment she's on the bed, they continue to kiss each other and he is on top of her sharing a good romantic gesture with one another and the door opens revealing his mother.
The moment Vixen sees Beatrice, she turns her face and Hunter slowly releases her when he realizes that his mother is at the side.
"I'm so sorry to come in between the both of you and disturb you semester but there is a need for an explanation to what is going on in my house."
For Vixen, the fact that Beatrice has seen her and Hunter getting into it is so embarrassing that she hardly covers her face, she stands up from the bbed and tries to adjust her clothes which Hunter had already begun to unravel.
"The both of you are hiding something from me and I need to find out and I know you will tell me that this is not in my business." Perhaps, I have no business knowing about it too...don't I?
I wish to mine business but I need to remind the both of you that this is my house and if you will be living under my roof especially because the Queen dowager has just invited the both of us.
She wants us to come for a cup of tea tomorrow and we both know what she's going to talk about we. I do not know if you wish to come along and r even bring yourself to the sight of the discussion.
But you need to be prepared, is there anything I should know about. She says and Vixen looks at Hunter before she answers.
"No mother, there's nothing you should know about." Hunter says on behalf of Vixen and Beatrice exits the room even when she doesn't believes her son one's lie one bit.
