Chapter 82

They have a quite tedious conversation with her attendance. Vixen knows that she has to resume to what she knows she has to do. And now that her attendance are here, perhaps her confidence will come back to her because honestly, her confidence felt like it was lost because of the fact that she felt lonely and everything did not seem in place especially where she stood in the environment.
Even the servants in this house; everything felt out of place and finally, but seeing these two attendants, she has begun to feel as if she has it back.
She leads herself downstairs once again as Emerald and Susan follow up and before they can leave, Beatrice comes out from the house and calls out to Vixen.
Vixen turns back and she is surprised that Beatrice will call her. Do you mind not leaving? Hunter will
be back and I have no response to give him if he asks where you are.
Beatrice explains to Vixen living in the house but she did not have to pay any attention and Vixen understood that. Of course, she was not a property and she knows better than to mess with that. When Vixen looks at the woman, the woman stands in front of her and then Vixen smiles.
For some reason he wants to protect you like an actual child, don"t you think? Beatrice says and Vixen clears her throat before she replies.
" Yes, for some reason he always wants to do that."
You do not have to worry about him. I'll be back soon and my attendants are here with me. Vixen replies and the woman to make her know that she's safe especially when are attendants are with her but then the woman looks looks at her attendant and then faces Vixen once again.
"Your attendants are all women." Are you going to be safe?
"I assure you." Vixen smiles because she doesn't realize that Susan is the warrior who is going to protect. My attendant here, Susan is very versed and knows how to play with a sword very well. Vixen replies and Beatrice does he understand that immediately but then catches up to the explanation?
"Okay, then at least I tried to stop you." Beatrice says and Vixen nods her head in understanding before she steps out.
"Okay, please do not tell me that you have an awful relationship with his mother now." Emerald asks as they step into the carriage and vixen closes her eyes as she gives herself a moment of silence.
I swear I don't want to talk about it. Everything literally gets on my nerves. Hunter, Southland, the king, my father and my stepmother who has nothing to do with this at all gets on my nerves. I don't even know how to respond to it.
"You don't need to respond to it for goodness sake. Perhaps, when you begin to carry a child the woman who finally like you." Susan says and Emerald covers her mouth at her word looking at the way Susan decided to speak without an air of shame.
How can you just say something like that? Emerald sees as she covers her mouth and Susan rolls her eyes.
"For goodness sake, there is no need for me to put such protection on the topic." I am sure our Lady Vixen here is no longer a virgin.
Am I right? Susan says and Emerald gasps once again and Vixen simply rolls her eyes.
Yes, you are perfectly right. But I do not think I'll be expecting any children soon.
Why not? Susan says she looks at Vixen.
Hunter is forty, it will be harder that bring forth a child into the world. Vixen says and Susan nods her head.
Haven't you heard of the butcher"s wife who has gotten pregnant? Emerald asks.
What!? Vixen says as she looks at Emerald trying to understand the gossip she's talking about.
Do you really mean the butcher? His wife. The butcher who is about a hundred years old!? Vixen asks.
Yes, exactly. That is the same one I'm talking about, he got his wife is pregnant and so if he can do so at his dying age, there should be no problem for Hunter. Susan says.
Vixen covers her mouth immediately and it makes the girls laugh when they speak of the matter.
Where's your shame? Emerald says and Vixen smiles before the carriage continue to move.
Where is the shame? There is nothing like shame here. Now I just need to survive. Vixen says and it looks like Emerald is wondering what she's talking about.
Why would you say you just need to survive? Susan asks.
Many things have been happening, Lord Nathan followed me and Hunter all the way to the borders to hurt us. She says and they gasp.
Hunter and I were able to bring all of the prisoners back here, but we don't know how successfully it was especially because the king hates us. If it will be successful, then we have a chance of sending this man.
And if not, then the king will bring his anger that he has towards Hunter and I, we are all going to be doomed, all of us. Vixen says and the girls are quiet as carriage is on the move.
And lord Nathan? Where is he currently? Susan asks and she looks at Vixen for now.
"Thankfully, my father's men came to rescue us and because of that...we have our prisoner and we have evidence that he wanted to kidnap us."
Although, we cannot tell it to the whole of Southland the true story behind it. So, instead we're going to pretend as if we know nothing about why he wanted to harm us at the end of the day.
Both girls are quiet and Emerald closes her eyes in frustration. How long does he want to keep following the both of you to the ends of the earth? I hope it all turns out do the best on our side.
"I have no idea but he is one who will not stop questioning us so easily."And this will not end the easy way especially now that we know that the men are from the Arab Lords and they have come in for a reason, we're all in danger.
"I'm going to need to both of you to be careful you both are my attendants they may come up for any reason." Stay out of the night. Susan, especially you...I know that your patience isn't stable. I will need you to not show that you can fight or show the power that you possess when you move a sword

Do you both understand me? Vixen asks even when the girls are still so confused about it all.
How long would it take for you to do something about it? Susan asks, and Vixen looks at her.
"Honestly, I have no idea on when, how...if we are even safe but if the king cannot do anything about it, based on the fact that he does not respond to an eye any more than entre will do."
And I certainly do not trust anything that entre will do because he is a man who has the patience just like you.
"This is scary." Emerald says as she rubs her hands together.
"At the end of it all, we must make sure that we are alive at the end of the day to watch everything fall into place." Honestly, I will not lie to the both of you. I'm very scared. This isn"t just about me, I will not be as frightened as I am but this involves Hunter.
It involves the queen, my father and stepmother. Everyone somehow is brought about in this situation. And you're all pointed to me. And I feel like I'm the reason for this problem, I don't even know how to explain that. Vixen says as she sits in the carriage and the moment they are seated in the carriage and it is moving.
The attendants are pondering what she has just said to them and the moment she reveals to them much of it but not all of the story. She finally feels a bit of penance as it occurs to her that no one really knows the deep truth, just her and Hunter.
And just then she finds someone who knows about it too, the woman who gave it to her in the first place. She is outside the carriage once again and Vixen has spotted her.
