Avery

When he said Marry him, I didn't need to think about it. He gave me a shower and took me to bed . When my eyes opened, I saw his face. He was asleep. His hair ruffled, the tattoo on his chest ending at his neck was indescribable. How was he so fit? His face was smooth and clear,he had a perfect nose and jawline.

“ I can feel your stare princess ” ,he said,his eyes still closed.

“ You said I could," I said quietly. He pulled me into him closer and smiled.

“ I did baby. What time is it?” , he asked me

“ I'm not sure” ,

“ How do you feel?”

“ I'm okay “

“ No pain?. No headache?”.

“ No , I promise “.

We were both startled by the ringing of his phone and the knocking on the door. He opened his eyes immediately and grabbed the phone getting off the bed.

I pulled the sheets over me . He opened the door and walked out. What could have happened so early. He came back ten minutes later. I was afraid to ask him.

“ W…w..wa..what ha.happened?”, I asked in a stutter.

“ Well it's all over Ryedale. Garrett denouncing you publicly, Announcing Alexis as his only child “ ,he said , looking at me waiting for my reaction. How Did I feel about that?.

“ It doesn't bother me , that was what they always wanted, they've finally got it. I'm okay I promise, I won't cry about it anymore. I have you”.

He came back over to me and kissed me. “ Good girl”.

I took a shower and went downstairs, I found him talking to Landon. I went to the kitchen and sat down. I felt him behind me.

“ Have your breakfast princess. I'll take a shower and join you in a minute. Then we'll leave okay “.

“ Okay. Jake ?” ,

“ Yes baby?”,

“ I want them out of my house today “ , I said looking at him.

“ I already called, Shawn. He'll be here soon , the lawyer will be here too. It'll be taken care of before we leave” ,he said

“ Where are we going?”.

“ Somewhere for a short vacation”.

“ Okay and Thank you “ , I said, turning around and having my coffee. He returned and sat with me and had breakfast. Halfway through breakfast, I saw a man walking in with the lawyer ,I remember him . There was another man with them.

Jake

I saw Shawn Walk in with her lawyer and the registrar. I got up and walked over to them.

“ Avery please, come over here “. She walked over to us.

“ Avery it is good to see you and see that you are okay. I've tried to contact you but Garrett and Renee made it impossible, “ the older man said, looking at her.

I pulled her Down next to me

“ I wasn't aware , Mr Wilson “ ,she said, closing the distance between us.

“ Mr Woods has already explained the situation. What you don't know is that there's a trust fund and apparently, I've just found out one of my employees has been helping Garrett gain access to the money. I've already alerted the Right authorities. The police officers should be here soon and we'll get them out”. He said.

I guess he was another person that had her best interest at heart. I could see Shawn looking at her, he looked at me with raised eyebrows and smirked.

I looked at the registrar.

“ You're here to get us married, I want our marriage to be registered and filed as soon as possible” , I said looking at him.

“ That is no problem “ ,he said, putting the marriage certificate on the table. I looked at her.

“Avery , you can still back out. You'll be free of them “ , I said, waiting for her to back out. She didn't look at me or any of the men sitting there. She picked up the pen and began signing. When she finished she pushed the paper towards me.

“ Sign it” ,she said ,in a tone that was threatening. I heard Shawn laugh. I could help but smile and shake my head . I signed it and handed it to the registrar.

“ This will be filed immediately upon my return to the office. Mr Wilson, you will handle all her legal documents and name change” ,he said looking at the lawyer.

“ I will,as soon as you send me the marriage certificate “ ,he said

I saw Landon Walk in with the police officers.

“ Good morning everyone. Hey dad “ ,one of the younger Officers said looking at her lawyer.

“ James, this is Mr Woods and you remember Avery. She is Now Mrs Woods. We need Garrett and his family out of her house “ ,he said, handing the documents to his son.

“ Congratulations Avery. This is good. Finally I'll be able to screw with Garrett and those two and there's no punishment for you “ ,the younger guy named James said.

I found Shawn looking at me. I realized everyone knew her and no one could do or say anything to those people because they knew she would get hurt.
The lawyer left with the police officers. We would follow them. The registrar headed back to the office and Shawn left after dropping the paperwork off.

When we got there , Garrett was yelling at the top of his voice. Alexis had a bunch of people over there. Probably her friends. I looked at Avery.

“ Princess, I want you to understand something. You are now my wife. The only person allowed to punish you is me. No one is allowed to disrespect you. Is that understood Avery?” , I said looking at her.

“ Yes” ,

When we pulled up to the door she got out and everyone was quiet. I didn't get out. I wanted to see if she understood how much power she holds. Landon and a few other security guards were with her. I saw the way the girls were looking at her and whispering amongst themselves.

Avery

I knew what he meant. The minute I got out of the car, Alexis started. I looked at her.

“ Shut the hell up, your voice is annoying” , I said looking at her.

“ Annoying, you're the child that's a bastard. You're the one that's trying to steal our home ” ,she yelled.

I couldn't help but laugh

“ Of course I'm trying to steal your home. That's always your excuse. I steal everything from you ,Even your boyfriend, the great Zach Morrison is after me. Do you know how many of your numerous boyfriends Have made a pass at me? If I were anything like you I would just get into the profession and become a whore and be done with it . All of you standing beside her . I know every single lie she's told you “ I said looking at them.

“ I've never lied” , Alexis shouted.

“ Oh please. I'm not here for a discussion. I'm here so you and your mommy and daddy can get out of my house “ ,I said looking at them. I looked at my father.

“ You have been stealing money from my trust fund,that my mother left me and have been spending it on these two ingrates . The fancy car you're driving belongs to me. The fancy clothes and expensive handbags were all bought with my money, this house is mine that my mother left to me“. I said looking at my father.

“ Avery you're a disgusting whore and ungrateful little bitch “ , Renee yelled. I looked at her.

“ Ungrateful ? Whore?. No you're the whore who was fucking a married man. What ? You actually think I didn't know, You were screwing my supposed father while he was married to my mother. I know for a fact that you had a hand in my mother's death and you'll pay for it”.

Alexis started walking towards me

“ Avery Anderson How Dare you speak to my mother like that?” ,she yelled.

I slapped her across the face.

“ My name is no longer Anderson, you'll find out soon enough what it is . Landon,James can you please get these ungrateful people out of here “. I said turning away.

“ I was good to you Avery, I'm your father. This is too much” my father yelled.

“ When you had beaten me black and blue because they made you wasn't that too much ?. When You starved me because they made you, wasn't that too much?. When you made me walk to school everyday since I was twelve because they made you, wasn't That too much?. When you made your sister beat me black and blue, almost killing me wasn't that too much ?.No this is only the beginning , You'll regret every single thing you've done to me. That's Why you suddenly became nice to me isn't it ?, because you know the house was mine. I'm happy you denounced me as your daughter because the daughter you just introduced to society will be the reason for your destruction. Best of luck dad “ I said walking towards the car.
