Life had calmed down a lot. I was Five months pregnant.My life,our life became simple. Jake went to work and I was at home either studying or something. He still kept the Security guards because he said he wasn't taking any chances. Irene, Sherry, Esther and Landon were always watching me.

One day we went to the beach house and Someone saw us, they took pictures and they posted it online. Me and Jake on the beach , more importantly me pregnant. Jake said he didn't give a shit they could all go and Fuck themselves.

We didn't know what we were having. Jake refused to know,he said he wanted to be surprised. Everyone knew Sherry, Landon, Irene, Esther,Andrea Landon's Wife. Even Shawn knew what the gender was. I was sitting in the living room of my house. I had Irene and the others over here cleaning it up. I was bored one day and asked Jake if I could redecorate it.

He said go ahead. He's been spending a lot of time at the office. I wasn't worried because I knew how he was. My hormones were messing with me. One night we were in the middle of having sex When I started crying for no reason. Jake was scared something happened to me and took me to the doctor.

When I walked into the house. She was sitting on the couch and giving the others directions. I shook my head. They've all been patient with her because she's been sick lately. Her feet were swollen and she's always irritated. A few days ago her mood switched and she threw a vase at Landon because he could eat the sushi and she couldn't.

Landon knew she didn't mean it and said his wife was worse . His breathing bothered his wife. And I was lucky she still wants me around. I sat next to her and kissed her forehead and rubbed her stomach. “ How are you feeling?”.

“ Hungry”.

“ What do you want?”.

“ French fries and Fried chicken from the shop in Brighton”. I stood up.

“ I'll get Irene to make something else for you, that's not healthy “.

I headed over to where Irene was.

“ Boss Incoming”. I heard Landon shout. I turned around I. Time to see a vase flying towards me. I caught it. She started crying.

“ You don't love me “. She said between tears. I couldn't help but laugh, which made her cry harder. For some reason I couldn't stop laughing and she kept crying. This was the worst possible time to laugh. She threw a book at me. I walked over to her and picked her up all the while she kept crying.

“ Landon?”.

“ Yes Boss?.”

“ Can you or Irene please make a food run for me. Fried chicken and fries “.

“I'll get it”.

“ Thank you Landon “.

I took her and put her to sit on the couch out back. Landon, Irene , Esther and Sherry were the only ones we trusted with our food. I got food poisoning a month ago, it was meant for Her but I took it instead. It was Jade Williams. James took care of it.

“ Princess,I Love you ,I do. I'm sorry for laughing at you but your mood swings are hilarious “. I pulled her into me and held her. Her mood has been like a seesaw up and down and I never knew which one I was going to get.

We Sat there until Landon brought the food back. I told the others to leave everything. It was getting late, they could continue tomorrow. Once we got over to our house we had dinner and she had her fries. I let her eat what she wants because she hasn't been able to stomach anything lately. The doctor said it's normal but I was worried about her.

There's a limited amount of food she can eat and drinks she can actually drink. She couldn't Walk and it was a problem for her. We were sitting in the garden relaxing when I saw Landon walking towards us with his wife. “ Mr Wood, Mrs Woods sorry for disturbing you “.

“ Andrea Hi, I've told you to call me Avery . Where's the little one?”.

She perked up the minute she saw the woman. She tried standing up. But couldn't.

“ No ,no. Sit, your feet are swollen? You shouldn't be standing up for too long”. She said, bending down.

“ Yeah, but it doesn't hurt or anything “.

“ Okay. Mr Woods,her feet need to be massaged with warm oil or they'll remain that Way after delivery. Also have her drink some Orange juice in the morning before eating. It'll help keep the food down. If it doesn't work. Here “.

She handed Avery a box. It looked like vitamins. “ With my first, It was the same for me. All I could eat was Carrots and Noodles. These are from the hospital. I double and tripled check they were good before giving them to her”.

“ Thank you. She's restricted to fried foods and it's not too healthy”.

“ It's okay. I hope this helps. Bye Avery “.

She was busy going through the box. “ Thank you Andrea. Next time please bring the princess”.

“ I will “.

I watched as Landon led his wife away. I looked at her. She was eating what looked like cookies. “ Ohh Lemon”. She said smiling. She leaned forward and fed me one. “ This is Good”. She grabbed the rest of the cookies, hiding them. I didn't say anything, I knew it would make her cry so I just shook my head.

The massage helped. Jake preferred to do it. Every evening he would massage my feet. The swelling was reducing. The vitamins Andrea brought for me helped a lot. The first thing I ate that was healthy was steamed fish with steamed vegetables. If I went shopping, Landon Teo and two others including Irene or Sherry or Esther. Whichever one of them wanted to go with me.

Everyone that saw me , stayed clear. The shop owners were extremely nice and courteous. I was in a store browsing when I saw Resa. “ Hello Avery “. She walked past us she didn't stop.

“ Resa , How is Aunt Janice?”.

“ She's okay. I'm about to visit her. She needs some things”.

“ Okay. Please tell her I said hello. And I'm sorry it went this far”.

“ I'll let her know. I should hurry up. Take care of yourself and congratulations”.

“ I will,Thank you “.

My phone vibrated and I checked it was my alarm. I had an appointment with the doctor. Shit . I messaged him but he didn't reply. He wants to be present. I messaged Shawn. He said he was in a meeting but would get him. I saw Shawn calling.

“ Shawn?”

“ It's my love, Sorry my phone was dead. Is something wrong?.”.

“ No . I have an appointment in half an hour. Your meeting is busy. I'm already in town. Irene is with me. She'll fill in for you today”.

“ Thank you love. This is really important. I'll be finished in two hours then I'll call you okay “.

I ended the call and looked at Irene. “ I have an appointment at the clinic , Jake is busy at the moment and won't make it“.

“ Okay . I am here, so is Landon. Let's go, we'll be right here with you.”.

“ Irene, thank you. You've been like a mother to me. Always watching out for me and protecting me. Thank you “.

“ And I'll continue to be here for you, especially when this little one gets here. Come in Landon will take us to the clinic “.

When we got to the clinic Dr ,Rusland wasn't standing there waiting for me as normal . It was another doctor. A woman , standing there smiling at me.

“ Mrs Woods, I'm Dr Vanessa Lilian. I'll be taking care of you for now?”.

“ I'm sorry, where is Dr Rusland?”.

“ He's on leave “

“ I'm sorry , but I spoke to Dr Rusland a week ago and he didn't mention anything about going on vacation or anything “. How could I trust her?.

“ I understand your hesitancy Mrs Woods. Your Security detail can come in with us. I just need to do and echo and make sure you're healthy and the baby is healthy.. Dr Rusland is my mentor,he said you were top priority,that is why the clinic is empty “.

“ Okay fine”.

After she ran the normal test which I knew was standard, we headed back to her office.Irene opted to stay outside. For this part. She was going over my files.

“ You're fit and fine. Healthy and that's good Mrs Woods. How's the swelling in the feet?”.

“ Not that much”.

“ Okay. The baby Looks good and healthy however “. I looked at her.

“ What does that mean?”.

“ Oh , I see Rusland stated in the file you refuse to know the gender. It shows here that you've been using Contraceptives for years “.
