Avery

In order for me to leave, when we left. Six cars in total left. Jake was in the first and we were in the second. Every car went in a different direction so no one would be sure. Before I left I warned Jake that Alexis may try to get to him. He said he knew. I made him promise me that he won't go riding on the bike and that when he goes to work security would go with him.

He agreed readily because he knew I was right. I thought we were going to New York or somewhere. But Imagine my surprise when the jet landed in the Bahamas. Irene, Landon and I were covered from head to toe,no one would tell Who was Who. When Landon drove us over to the Pier and helped us onto a boat , I was further confused.

That's when he explained that we were going to Shawn's Island. No one would be the wiser. It was almost dusk when we landed on the island and Landon got us off. Landon checked to make sure it was safe and we headed in. I took the room in the middle and Irene and Landon were in the other two rooms besides me. After dinner we were outside. Landon assured me there was no way anyone could get onto the island except from the front.

He said Four feet into the entire island was surrounded by thirty feet of barbed wire. I said goodnight to them and headed to bed,I had just got into bed when my phone Rang.

“ Morning Princess. Well it should be night for you. I Miss you already, Are you okay, is the baby okay?“.

“ Good night love, I miss you too. Yes I'm okay we're both good. I was just about to sleep. Are you okay, Have you had breakfast yet?”.

“ Not yet. I needed to speak to you first”.

“ I know you probably didn't sleep much. We'll be okay. Go have your breakfast love and be careful okay “.

“ I will princess. Be careful too. I'll call you when you're awake. I love you “.

“ I love you too Jake”.

“ Get some sleep baby, I'll speak to you soon “.

“ Okay,Bye love”.

“ Bye princess ”

I ended the call and laid there. I figured he wouldn't be able to sleep properly without me , the truth was I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep well without him , that's Why I brought one of his shirts with me. Just wearing it helped me sleep.

Jake

I went downstairs and had breakfast with Sherry, Esther and Teo. After breakfast they assured me they would lock everything up and keep an eye on Avery's place as Landon had left the laptop with them and the camera's weren't disconnected. Teo drove me to the company. There were two other cars with us, One in Front and one behind.

All because of this Psychotic girl ,I couldn't have time with my princess and she couldn't even enjoy her pregnancy because of These crazy people. When I got to the company,I headed straight to my office. Shawn was waiting for me.

“ Morning, what do we have today?.”

“ Well , you have a few meetings regarding your closed door meeting and some contracts that need your signature and some employee issues and that's it. Oh and Ms Peralt is here with the contract. I've already doubled checked it and it just needs your signature “.

“ Okay then, Let's go”.

“ How's Avery holding up?, Did you hear anything from the police?”.

“ She's good , stressed out but, otherwise okay. No I'll call James later or he'll call me as soon as he has an update”.

“ Okay “.

When we got to the conference room, Ms Peralt was sitting there waiting. The minute she saw me her eyes lit up, She looked behind me , she was probably looking for Avery.

“ Mr Woods,Good morning “.

“ Ms Peralt”.

“ Oh you can call me Clarissa “.

I looked at her. “ Are you here for business or pleasure?”. She looked taken a back for a second but then smiled.

“ We'll be working together on this project, It's better to be on a first name basis”.

“ Ms Peralt. The project is between Zion Corporation and D&G corporation not me and you. The only people who are allowed to call me by my first name is my wife and the other person is sitting beside me. Let me make it clear so you'll understand. Don't try I'm not interested “.

I took the documents and read it over . I signed it and handed it to her.

“ You can return this to D&G corporation, Shawn please contact Diego Martin and have him replace Ms Peralt on this project. Now , excuse me, I have other meetings to attend to”.

I left her sitting there with Shawn and walked out. This was exactly why I stayed Hidden. Thank God I met my princess when I did. I just walked into my office When The side door opened and Teo came in.

“ Boss, Garrett Anderson is in the garage and he says it's important , he says it something concerning the Mrs”.

“ Bring him up”.

“ Yes Boss”.

What is so important that he decided to come all the way here. A few seconds later the door opened and Teo walked in with Garrett.

“ I asked you to stay out of Avery's life unless she asked you to be a part of her life didn't I?”.

“ Yes But , Alexis was in my house and she stole my gun”.

“ Why tell me and not the police?”.

“ I did and Because Zach Morrison is helping her”.

“ What ?”.

“ After I went back home,I started dumping all of Renee's and Alexis's stuff outside. She showed up about two hours later and in handcuffs. I told her to get out but she ran straight to the room. She knew where the gun was . It's a nine millimeter. I tried to stop her but she pointed it at me and Told me to stay out of it , because of my daughter, her and her mother's life was ruined. Now Avery will pay for it. After she ran out,I followed her out and saw Zach Morrison waiting for her in a car “.

I looked at him. “ Why should I believe you?”.

“ Because I'm here aren't I?. Look I've done Many things I'm not proud of. My greatest regret is Hurting My daughter. I shouldn't have let them get to me and made me treat her that cruel, but it's done and I can't change it. All I can do is regret it and try to get my daughter to forgive me. All I want is her forgiveness. So do whatever you have to do to protect her because Alexis is going for her”.

“ Okay”. I said look at him. I saw the sigh of relief he let out. He walked out the door and left.

“ Teo , Have someone follow Garrett and see what he's up to”.

“ Yes Boss”.

After he left I picked up the phone and dialled the Mayor's office. After Two ring's the secretary answered. I didn't wait for her to speak. “ This is Mr Woods of Zion Corporation, Get me Morrison now”.

“ Mr Woods, hello sir , one moment sir , I'll patch you through”.

I waited for two minutes then I heard him.

“ Mr Woods, lovely to hear from you. It seems your wife was right about Ms Peterson, it's all over Brighton “.

“ Morrison, Didn't my wife say your son should cut all contact with Alexis Peterson?”.

“ Yes and he did”.

“ Really ? , Alexis Peterson escaped police custody yesterday and is currently on the run and wanted. Guess who Showed up with Alexis at Garrett's house. None other than your son. So explain that to me”.

” This fucking little bastard. I'll find him and deal with him”.

“ You Better find him before I do or he's going down with her”.

“ He better hope I let him live if I find him first”.

The line went dead. My phone started ringing. James was calling.

“ Yes ?”.

“ You sound worse than me. Alexis has help “.

“ I know, Garrett just left my office”.

“ Huh,it seems like he's trying to make things right. Anyway Resa McLean was here to see her mother. She's on the Hunt for Alexis also. Janice told her to leave Avery alone , that she didn't do anything that it was All Renee and Alexis's doing. Resa and Alexis are half-sisters so she's out for blood”.

“ Jesus this is one fucked up mess”.

“ Is she worth it?”.

“ That isn't even a question, she's worth more than this”.

“ Good. Tomorrow morning we'll be exhuming the remains of Nadine Anderson. Garrett is still legally her husband so he gave us the permission to do it. We've got men and volunteers searching for Alexis. We've blocked off all exit's and entrance’s into Brighton and Ryedale. We've Also informed the airports so she can't leave that way”.

“ Okay. Let me know what you come up with. If you need anything let me know”.
