Avery

The last six weeks have been quiet and normal which bothered me. Renee, Alexis, aunt Janice and Resa wouldn't stay quiet and I knew a Storm was coming. Suzanne was out of the hospital and at home recovering. I would visit her with Andrea and Elise. Jake made a stink of that so he had Landon watching me.

For some reason Jake has been sneaking around, He's been having quiet conversations with Esther and Irene also Sherry and James. After the third time I gave up trying to figure it out. This morning before we left for the office he was smiling and being touchy touchy. It was Friday and for the last six weeks, we've been going away on weekends.

Either the beach or we go riding. One weekend he rented out an entire Restaurant so we could have a date night. When we got home and I asked how much he spent,he looked guilty. I've tried talking to him about the amount of money he spends but he just brushes it off. When I walked into the department Andrea was busy looking at her phone so was Elise and Daphne.

“ Good morning Ladies “.

“ Morning Avery. Oh my god. Have you seen this?”.

“ Seen what?”. I asked, walking over to her desk.

“ Oh shit they're fighting” , Elsie said, running towards us with her phone. When I looked at the phone,on screen was none other than my cousin Resa McLean fighting with a woman.

“ What are they fighting about?”.

“ Well Apparently the girl with the black hair is sleeping with her husband. Someone sent pictures or something to the wife and the wife went to find her”. Elsie said. This has Jake written all over it.

“ That's Why women should learn to Stay away from married men” ,I said walking back over to my desk. I had just pulled my phone out when the desk phone rang.

“ Finance department, Avery speaking. What ?. Okay . Thank you I'll be down in a second “.

I put the phone down and looked at them. “ Andrea I'll be back”. She shooed me away, her eyes glued to the drama happening. I stepped out in the corridor and called him.

“ Babe. Garrett is here. Security called me, He's going to make a scene “.

“ No he won't. Landon already has him in the private Garage. Go ahead I'll join you in a minute baby “.

“ Okay”.

When I got to the Garage, Landon was standing by the entrance making sure my father didn't leave.

“ Hi Landon “.

“ Mrs Woods . Your, well your Father”.

“ It's okay Landon. Thank you “.

I looked at my father.

“ I'm at work. What is it?.”

“ I'll take the offer”.he answered sheepishly

“ What offer?”.I asked confused

“ I'll leave Renee “.

I couldn't help but laugh. “ Why?”.

“ The business is going under. Renee won't stop complaining about having to downsize. She's spending money we don't have “. He tried to sound desperate but couldn't.

“ Do you take me for a ignorant fool. Did you think I would actually believe that?. Why is your business suddenly not going well?”.

“ I don't know. All of a sudden everyone is asking me to repay the loans I took. I'm barely holding on. Please Avery I'm your father. I'm sorry for the way I treated you, please bail me out this once “.

“ Okay “, He looked at me immediately and his eyes lit up.

“ Really?”.

“ Yes , on one condition. I'll give you the house,the trust fund and six million. Only if you do what you did to me to Renee, Alexis and your sister. The same amount of beating, Starvation, walking, public Humiliation, degradation and insults. You would have to do it Infront of me . Do you accept it? “.

“ AVERY WOODS. My name is Avery Mrs Avery Woods. I don't owe you shit. I didn't even owe you a minute of my time. You wouldn't dare harm Them but would instantly hurt me. I hope that you hit Rock fucking bottom soon and whoever it is that's screwing you over. I'd gladly help them. Now Get the hell out I never want to see your face again”.

When I turned around Jake was standing there , hands in his pocket just smiling at me. He walked over to me and held my waist.

“ Mr Anderson,I suggest you stay far away from Zion Corporation or you'll end up somewhere you don't like”.

When I walked into the garage and heard her say she'd help him I didn't know what to think but when she told him the condition. I knew she wasn't going to allow herself to be swayed.

The last few weeks I've been making their lives miserable. Two days after that incident Landon had all the details. Shawn found out and he wanted in. Garrett took a lot of loans and Shawn knew these people so we applied some pressure.

I made sure to send pictures and proof every single Friday to the wives of the men Resa was having an affair with. Landon wanted to have someone watching and waiting for the confrontation and posted it online. So I let him have his fun.

The last few weeks she also took the initiative to ask Landon to continue teaching her Self defense. she's been pulling all nighters on her assignments and I left her. I've noticed in the past couple of weeks she was no longer that shy and unsure. She knew exactly Who she was and was embracing it.

“ Are you okay baby?”.

She walked over to me , wrapping her arms around my neck and looking at me.

“ Yes. I'm perfect. I've got six more weeks left of vacation time then I'm heading back to school. What will you do then?”.

I squeezed her hips. “ Give me three more weeks and then we'll go for Vacation. Well I need to head back overseas for some work and you're going with me”.

She just smiled at me. “ Okay. I'm heading back to work boss”. She kissed me and bit my lips. We both heard it. She pulled away and walked over to the side. The door opened and Henry Walked in.

“ Mr Woods. Hello Mrs Woods.
Ms Peralt is here for the meeting sir”.

“ Have her wait in the Conference room. Shawn will meet her”.

“ Sir,..umm… she's asking for you. Se..”.

I looked at him immediately. I could feel her eyes on me. “ Ms Peralt is here to discuss business with Shawn Allen,Not me. Now take her to the conference room and inform Mr Allen “.

When I turned around she was just looking at me. “ Avery “. ,

She stood up and walked over to me, walking me backwards into the door. She used her fingers tracing my chest.

“ I'll chop your dick off if you ever try sticking it in anyone ,other than me”. She said, grabbing my dick and squeezing. I grabbed her throat pulling her into me ,my tongue invading her mouth and she returned the kiss. She moaned into my mouth.

“ I love you princess “.

“ I love you too,Jake”.

She pulled away, kissing me on my neck. I knew she would do it and I didn't fucking care . She marked me.
After she left I called Henry into my office.

“ Mr Woods?.”

“ I don't care who is asking for me. No one besides my wife and Shawn should ever step out on the floor is That understood?.”

“ Yes Mr Woods “.

“ Also. Nevermind mind I'll take care of it myself. You can go”.

“ Yes Mr Woods “.

The phone began ringing so I picked it up.

“ What?”.

“ Hey J. We have a slight issue with the contract here. Can you come down and check?. We're in the main conference room “.

“ Yeah sure Shawn”.

I locked the office and headed down to the conference room. When I walked in I didn't say anything. I took a seat and Shawn handed me the contract. I went over it and noticed a few discrepancies.

“ Someone Changed the Terms of Termination “. I looked up at the woman sitting there.

“ Who had this before you received it?”.

“ No one Mr Woods,I can assure you the contact was locked in a safe in my office”. She said,her eyes were on me and not in a way I appreciated.

“ Ms Peralt..”

“ Please,call me Clarissa”. She said smiling.

“ Ms Peralt. This contract cannot be signed until we verify Why the terms of termination were changed and by who. Now….”, my phone began ringing,I pulled it out and Saw it was her.

“ Please excuse me Ms Peralt “.

I stood up and walked over to the other end and answered.

“ Yes Sweetheart”

“ Did you send someone for me? ,where is Landon?.”

“ No .I didn't . What do you mean love?”.

“ A guy just showed up telling me you sent for me and you're waiting for me somewhere. I'm in the ladies washroom, I told him I needed to use It”.

“ Keep him there. I'm sending Landon”.

I ended the call and looked at Shawn.

“ Shawn let's go”. I walked out of the conference room and he followed me.I explained and he said he would go down. I called Landon and sent him after her.
