Chapter 69

Jake

This was getting serious. I looked at her and I could tell she was starting to lose her shit. 

“Jake, I’m going to see Resa.” I guess I was about to see what my wife was truly capable of. I did tell her I would always be behind her in everything she did, and she should never back down as long as she was right. 

“Princess wait, it’s almost nine in the evening. Cassy and Andrea will be okay for tonight. We don’t need Resa. We’ll go ahead and do what you want to do and finish this”, I said, looking at her. This damn girl smiled at me in a way that made me scared for a second. “Princess, you’re scaring me a bit”.

“Good” she said. As I was about to answer her, I heard the little voice, “Pretty Lady. Handsome man, baby”, she ran over to us and stopped in front of us.

“Irene, Can you please get the guest room ready for Andrea and Cassy”, 

“Mr. Woods, Mrs. Woods this isn’t necessary”, Landon said. I just looked at him. 
“Hello Princess Cassy, how are you”? I asked, taking a seat with Amelia.

“I am okay, handsome man. Baby is sleeping, so pretty. Cassy should sleep too”, she said, smiling while looking at Amelia, and I couldn’t help but smile at her innocence. 

“Landon, the room is ready”, Irene said.

“Landon, make sure they’re settled in, then we have some things to discuss”, she said, and he just nodded. I looked at her. She took Amelia from me and headed up to Amelia’s room. She sat in the chair rocking her. I stood in the doorway looking at her.

“What’s going on in that head of yours Avery”?

“Planning a kidnapping. Jake, are there any other families like ours here or in neighboring cities? I mean wealthy”?, she asked.

“To cities over, The Randall’s why”? I asked and she just smiled.

“You’ll find out”, she said. I walked over to her and kissed Amelia’s head. Then gave her a kiss. “Okay. I’m heading to bed. Don’t come to bed late baby girl.”

“I won’t”. she said 

Avery

I knew exactly what I was going to do. After Amelia fell asleep, I put her in her crib and turned on the baby monitor and headed downstairs. Landon was in the living room with the laptops. The minute he saw me, he stood up. I just sat down on the couch. 

“We’re going to kidnap them”, I said, looking at him.

“How”?, he asked

“Tomorrow morning after breakfast. Esther and Sherry Drug them. We’ll keep them in the basement of the house. We won’t take them far”, I said, and he smiled. I explained the rest of my plan in order to get them to talk, and he started laughing. After we discussed everything, he left saying he was going to get Teo, Daryl and a few of the other security details and get everything set. He would inform Sherry and Esther also. 

When I went to bed it was almost two in the morning. The minute I climbed into bed, he stretched his hands out and pulled me into him. He was asleep, and he still knew when I wasn’t there. 

“Baby”? He said quietly.

“I’m here love”, I said as he held me tighter, and I drifted off to sleep. When my eyes opened, I was alone in bed. I checked the time, and it was eight. I sat up immediately and rushed through my morning routine. When I opened the room door I ran into him, he had Amelia. 

“Sorry I overslept”, I said, trying to take her. He just pulled his hands away. “No, she’s spending the day with me. I’m taking her and Cassy to the beach house. Don’t worry, Irene and Andrea will be with us. Landon told me, “I don’t want you to be worried about anyone. I’ll let Garret come with us too”. He said, I leaned in and kissed him.

“Thank you. I love you Jake”
“I love you too, Princess”.

“I’ll find out what they did to your real family, I promise”, I said. He just smiled at me.
“I know you will, Princess”, 

After breakfast, Jake left with Irene and the others. Before he left, he made sure to tell Landon to watch me. We were looking at laptops. They were still asleep. Teo and the others went over and started setting up the basement. Around nine, they woke up and headed down. They were at the table.

Lelia: Where is the man?

Sherry: Mr Andreson went to the hospital

Renauta: Why

I had already called Sherry and told them what to do and what to say, so they were telling them what I told them to say.

Esther: He had an accident a few days ago, so he has a follow-up today

Leila: Where’s the woman and her retard?

I saw Sherry and Esther stop and looked at them.

Sherry: Maybe you’re the one that’s retarded, she has a disability. 

Renauta” Whatever, just serve us our breakfast and leave. 

“How long will it take for the drug to take effect”? I asked Landon.
“Fifteen minutes”, he said, not taking his eyes off the screen. We continued watching them eat and talk about shopping. I called Jake to check in. He assured me everyone and everything was fine. We continued watching and we saw it taking effect. 

“It’s starting to work”, Landon said. 

We saw Leila fall over first, Renauta tried standing up but started swaying, then fell over. I saw Esther and Sherry smiling. “Let’s go, Landon”, 

When we got over to my house, Teo and Daryl were already waiting for us. “Take them down to the basement. Esther. Damien will take you to the beach house. Jake is there with everyone. The houses will be locked up”.

“Okay. Be careful”, they said, walking out. Teo and Daryl took them down to the basement. Landon and I locked up all the doors and windows. I called James.

“Hello snugs”, he said, I let out a sigh. “I am patiently waiting for you to get married. They were kidnapped. They’re currently in my basement. Don’t worry, I won’t hurt them too much, just scare them”. I said

“Okay. Be careful and let me know what you find out”, he said, ending the call. I guess it does pay to be Mrs. Woods. I looked at Sherry. “Come on Sherry time to make you a rich woman”, I said, and she smiled. I headed up to my old room and gave sherry and an outfit and did her hair and makeup. Last night, I did some research on the Randall family and found out they had a daughter about Sherry’s age. With the right clothes and make-up, I could make her look something like Eliza Randall. We needed her to make this work. When we got down to the basement, Leila and Renauta were still out cold and tied to chairs and blindfolded. We got Sherry into another chair and tied her to it. Daryl and Teo set up the apparatus they had manufactured onto her hand. 

“How long before they wake up”? I asked 

“Gave or take Ten Minutes, Mrs. Woods”, Teo said 

“Okay, you know what to do right, they can’t hear my voice. I’ll type it out, and you’ll see it on the screen behind them”, I said quietly. They all nodded. I knew if they heard my voice, they would know what was happening and not give anything away, so Teo would do the talking. They haven’t had much interaction with him. They had a projector set up. Whatever I typed out on my phone would show up on the screen behind Leila and Renauta. I had everyone change out of their black uniform and wear casual clothes. They would wear ski masks.

I saw Leila begin to move, so I nodded to them. They all put their phones on silent, and I did too. I texted Jake to let him know we were starting and couldn’t take calls, neither could the security details I had with me. Once it was over, I would call. He replied saying I love you and be careful. I knew the minute Leila was awake because she began screaming against the gag around her mouth. I began typing on my phone. Teo walked over to her.

Teo: Be very quiet and very still, or you’ll trigger the bomb under your chair, and you’ll be in a million pieces. 

She stopped all movement but was still crying. Renauta woke up and did the same thing, and he said the same thing to her.

Teo: Now I will take your blindfolds off so you can see I mean business.

He walked over to them and took off the blindfolds. They were looking around, when their eyes landed on Sherry, they became frantic. Teo walked over to Sherry and did the same. Sherry did her part in looking scared and frantic. 

Teo: Now this is Eliza Randall of the Randall family. Are you really Ms? Randall

Sherry nodded yes. Teo looked at Renauta and Leila.

Teo: See, answer me truthfully and no one gets hurt. 

He looked at Sherry.

Teo: Are you the Heir to Randall the Fortune?

Sherry nodded yes and Teo grabbed a knife and cut her pinky finger. Sherry started screaming against the gag and so did Leila and Renauta. I knew it was fake, but Sherry was freaking amazing at acting. 

Teo: this is what happens if you lie to me. So again, Ms. Randall, are you the heir to the Randall fortune?”

Sherry shook her head No. Teo stood up and undid the gag around her mouth. He did the same to Leila and Renauta. I could tell they were scared because they were trembling. 

Teo” Are you the mother of Jake Woods?
