Jake

I saw her smiling and laughing with the little girl and she looked so happy. I told Landon what happened and he was worried. We left around nine that evening. Cassie had fell asleep.

When we got home she was quiet. That night she hugged me and slept. I know losing the baby affected her but I would wait on her to talk to me.She went to visit Irene and the other at the hospital. They were discharged. From what the doctor told Shawn , they were given a high amount of sleeping pills.

The next morning after breakfast, I was leaving for work,she and Landon were in the backroom, Training.

“ What do the two of you have planned for today?.”

“ Nothing much. The lady will be here around ten. We have everything planned, Alexis won't see her “. She said smiling.

“ Okay, have fun . Landon be careful” ,

“ Yes Boss “.

I gave her a quick kiss and left. Once in the office I told Shawn what we intend to do . “ Well Avery may be onto something there. If you're willing to pay the right amount, you can get Alexis looking like herself again”.

“ I know. I already found someone and spoke to him. He agreed “.

“ Well then that's good. Shit I wanted to see what's happening with those two crazy women”. He said smiling.

“ Landon will probably record it. He's childish just as she is” , I shook my head.

Throughout the day , I called and checked in with Irene. As I was heading home around six, When I drove up and walked into the house, Renee was running around screaming like an insane person and Alexis was behind her.

“ WHAT IN GODS FUCKING NAME IS GOING ON HERE? ,IS EVERYONE IN THIS FAMILY INSANE?”.

“ I'm sorry Jake, I don't know what's wrong with her ” , Alexis said quietly.

“ I can't Stay with insane people “. I walked back out and got into the car. I went home and found all the windows, doors and curtains were locked. When I walked in They were all looking at the laptop and laughing.

We were having dinner when we heard it. Renee and Alexis were in her room. Renee was sitting on the bed.

Alexis : Mom what's going on?.

Renee : Nadine

When Avery heard her mother's name she looked up. “ Landon Make sure it's being recorded. “ Yes Mrs Woods “.

Alexis : Who ?

Renee : Nadine, Avery's mother. I saw her.

Alexis : I thought she was dead

Renee : She is. I just saw her spirit, ghost of whatever the hell you want to call it.

Alexis : Where did you see her?

Renee : Right here , right in this house,at the bottom the stairs , where I pushed her and she died.

Avery stood up immediately. I grabbed her, pulling her down and holding her. “ Let me go Jake , I'll Kill her”. Irene looked at me and shook her head. “ Wait princess let's listen”.

Alexis : What do you mean,you killed her?. Does dad know you Did this?.

Renee : Garrett doesn't know shit, he only knows what I tell him and he's not your father.

Alexis : WHAT?.

Renee : Oh be quiet. I met Garrett in school. Before I went to him , I made sure to research his family and I knew Janice was the key to Garrett. The Anderson family had power and money back then. After studying Janice for months and making sure my background story was solid I made my move and befriended Janice.

It didn't take long for her to warm up to me and we became friends. During that time I was around Garrett a lot and Janice basically pushed Garrett into my arms. After college we still dated,However when Janice brought up mine and Garrett's marriage to their parents they shut her down. Their family was going through financial difficulties so he had to marry someone else.

Janice was livid and so was I. Janice and I were over there at Their place in the garden when I saw Nadine for First time. Avery looks exactly like her.She was fair , Pettie, long brown hair, she was elegant, she was beautiful , I won't lie . I hated her in that instant and when Garrett saw her ,he was immediately smitten by her, he ignored me and that just fueled my anger.

Janice didn't really care who her brother married so I did the needful. I fueled Janice's anger towards Nadine. I faked messages and pictures of Nadine with other men and Janice the fool that she is, she bought it. She started revolting at Garrett marrying Nadine . Unfortunately it wasn't enough and they got married. I figured I'd leave him alone. That's when I met the man I had a relationship with years ago. Rory.

Alexis : Who's he ?

Renee : Rory McLean

Alexis : Resa's Father?

Renee : Yes. We had a sort of fling, I met him one night at a bar. That was before Garrett. He was down in the dumps . Some idiot told Garret I was seeing someone and he showed up at my door accusing me of cheating. I simply told him he was a married man.

He said he had to remain married to Nadine for at least two years and then the family business would belong to him. He asked me to give him time , I said sure.
About a week later, I found out I was pregnant. I knew it was Rory so I went over and found that he had been married all the time and it was Janice . I don't know how I fucking missed that detail, I believe Rory hid that he was married from the public.

Janice never mentioned she was married or had a fucking kid and I never really cared about her life. And At that point I didn't really care anymore. Garrett left me and His sister Snatched what would have been mine. I Instigated Janice and Garrett against Nadie . I created a rift between Rory and Janice. She never knew why Rory suddenly became cold towards her, nor did Nadine fully understand why Garrett suddenly didn't care about her.

Garrett spent a lot of time over at my apartment,I used the same drug I gave to you. I drugged him and made it look like we had sex. A week later I dropped the bomb on him. He accepted the pregnancy. He moved me into a bigger apartment, and I was living the lavish lifestyle. He told Janice and she came to me. She confided in me about Rory.

I pretended to be shocked to find out she was married,but I was oh so happy that Rory was cold towards her. She never knew Rory still visited me almost every single night. I needed to be someone's wife , I wasn't going to settle for being a mistress. I cried and told Janice I felt terrible that I was pregnant with Garrett's child and miserable.

I told her I loved Garrett but I can't remain a mistress. I told her everytime Garrett came Nadine Would call and he would leave. She said she'd deal with it . I befriended Nadine , I made sure Janice and Garrett didn't know. I made sure the house help didn't see me . No one ever saw me and Nadine together.

I looked at Irene “ Did you ever know about this?”.

“ No Mr Woods. Nadine would leave saying she's going to visit friends,but no one ever came to the house”.

“ These women are something else. Planning an plotting against another woman all for a man” ,Sherry said

I looked at her and she had a dazed look on her face, I knew hearing Alexis and her mother speak so ruthlessly and carelessly about her mother would hurt her. I squeezed her hands and she looked at me. She looked sad , tired and drained. We looked at the laptop again.

Alexis: Fuck mom ,

Renee : Oh please, back then security cameras weren't widely used and cell phones weren't so advanced. So it was easy. I kept my old apartment and that's where Nadine would meet me.
