Chapter 25

Jason's POV

I can't reach Ron, so I decide to head over to Red Pheonix Pack to find out what's going on. Ten minutes after driving off I come to a stop, in front of me stands at least a dozen rogues. I put the car in park and turn the engine off, "heh, this is perfect we get to blow off some steam" Spike says as I get out of the car. They were all already in their wolf forms, but it didn't matter since none of them are strong enough to give me a proper challenge. 20 mins later, I rip the last rogue's jaw apart with my bare hands and drop him to the ground. I get back into the car and drive off, it's an hour and a half drive to Red Phonix from here,but after driving for another 30 minutes, I have to stop again because there were more rogues ad this time they had blocked the road with 2 medium sized uprooted trees. I stop and get out the car again, "I'm starting to think that you don't want me to get to where I'm going" I say taking a few steps forward. "And where would that be alpha Griffin?" the rogue in front asks. "Well, it doesn't really matter if I tell you since you won't be leaving here alive," I respond. The other rogues change into their wolves and attack me but I took each down easily. I attack him staright on and we exchange punches. He wasn't as weak as the others but he's not even as strong as my weakest warrior. I elongate my claws and ram it through his stomach and up into his ribcage. He grabs my hand and looks down at it disappearing into him with obvious confusion. Sigh, "I have somewhere to be so I won't play with you anymore" I say as he coughs up a mouth full of blood and goes limp.

I pull my hand from his stomach and walk back to the car, where I noticed that all four tires were punctured. Chuckling at their childishness, I think to myself that they must have forgotten that we're wolves. I start running in the direction towards Red Pheonix and then shift into wolf form. We're faster this way. As we're running, I notice movement from my peripherals, so I run through our trap route and sure enough one by one I heard their fatal howls. As I get closer to my pack lands I speed up and double back behind them. By now it was starting to get really dark out here. I slowly pick off the rest, I'd sneak up and latch onto their necks and then shake them viciously until I hear their necks snap or I'd just bite a hole into their throats and leave them to bleed out. I'm a vicious alpha and for good reason too, I don't maintain my reputation by showingg unnecessary mercy to my enemies, if you attack me or anyone under my protection you die, it's just that simple. I don't know what's going on, but tonight the woods will drink the blood of rogues.

After killing the last rogue in this group, I shake the blood off of my face and start heading towards Red Pheonix again. I stop at the fork in the road splitting the route to my pack and the route to Red Pheonix and do a quick assessment of my pack lands. If rogues dared to attack my pack there would already be bodies littering the field. My pack is safe so I link Jack, my gamma, and tell him to put everyone on high alert and to be prepared to defend against a possible rogue ataack. I quickly brief him on the situation on head down the route to Red Pheonix.

Sapphire's POV
I close the office door and pull my knives from the rogue's elbow and neck and then walk away as his body hits the floor. "Doc, what are you doing playing around down here?". With a bored look on his face, "waiting for you to finally show up" stretching his hand out, "come on Sapphire, hurry up and give me the blood cleanser, it's been two days since I last felt Felix". I throw him a vile and he uses a syringe to inject himself, "How long?" he asks. "Just about an hour" I answer, "now give the quick version of what happened? what happened to Seb and where's my dad?". As the doc gives me the quick version of what happened I clean the blood off of my hands. It turns out that Seth has been planning this for a while now, he apparently used to be a rogue and got sent here as a mole. They waited 5 years to act which means they are patient and calculating. Since they are calculating, they won't do anything hastily. "Alpha Black isn't here," the doc says, "We know he's not dead but he's weak, if they get to the Luna, we're gonna lose them both". "Well," I say heading towards the door, "let's make sure that doesn't happen, where's everyone else? all our guards and warriors?". With a sigh, "Dungeons" he says, "No one has their wolf, some of them are dead and others are too weak to fight, we need to get them the blood cleansers soon or we risk them losing their wolves". I let him know that I'd clear the way to the pack dungeons so that he could go treat them. Before leaving his office I let him know that Nelle is undergoing the intense blood cleasing and transfusion in the alpha suite. I asked him to go make sure that Michelle was also okay, and warning him about what they've been through the past two days. I ask him to not lose his shit when he sees Nelle, she's his niece, and he's been taking care of her ever since her parents died while she was a pup, she's pretty much his child. He said he's fine but as I walk away from the office I hear things shattering in there.

Leaving the clinic I use the cloak of the night and make it to the pack house unnoticed. I make my way around the back and take out the two rogues at the back door. I kick out the door stopper they had holding it open and and activated the soft lockdown mode, no one else will be able to enter or leave unless they know the entarnce code. As I walk through the hallway I notice Tristan talking to two rogues, he wasn't facing me so I was able to get close enough to hear what they're talking about.
Rogue 1: "When are you gonna find that little b-t-h? They need the luna so they can kill the alpha, If you want to keep your wolf then go find her"
Rogue 2: "Our alpha felt sorry for you since you've been completing some punishment here in this damn pack instead of taking over your home pack like you're suppsed to. Don't make us regret our decision."
As they walk away, he squeezes a fist. "I wonder what we have here?" I ask from behind him with a knife to his throat.
