Chapter 58

Sapphire's POV

"Look at my eyes, darling, tell me." He paused, looking intently into my eyes. "What's troubling you? You can tell me." He looked so serious, making it quite difficult for me to hold back my laughter.

I placed my left hand on his coat, his chest side. I ran my hand over the lapels, feeling the smooth texture. "You look wonderful in this, you know."

"Why are you laughing? Sapphire, I only asked what is bothering you? " He asked again, still concerned about my initial statement.

Even while he asked his questions, I was still staring at the suit, paying little attention to him.

"You look elegant in and out of your clothes, Jason. Makes me wonder if you were the first werewolf the gods thought to create." Through my words, he found out that I was only pulling his legs and I wasn't actually worried. Taking my hand to his mouth, he planted a kiss on it.

"My lady, if I'll look good and attractive in your eyes to make you pleased, then I must buy more of this suit, maybe one with royal blue or a gray suit. What do you think? " he teased.

" You'll look good in them all, even in the worst of color combinations."

"That's really funny," he replied, laughing and moving back to the mirror to adjust his suit.

"We better start going," I said, moving over to him in the dressing mirror. The reflection of our eyes met in the mirror, and he winked at me.

Jason made a phone call to his Royal chamber and ordered that another car, a limousine, should be brought to the hotel.

"The car you took to the party didn't break down, did it? " Ron asked him, quite perplexed at his command for another car, an escort.

"No, I just want something exquisite, something close to worthy of its occupants."

" You sound strange, Jason but anyways your ride would be they soon," he replied.

"Thank you, I will be waiting."

We waited at the reception hall for quite a while, waiting for the ride.

"You ordered for another car, that wasn't necessary, I mean, your car didn't break down, did it?" I asked Jason, growing impatient.

" Of course not, Sapphire. I just feel like taking in the pleasure of relaxing in a limousine without driving. I surely have every right to do that."

" Sure he does, it's best you leave him to his choices, he's an Alpha," Enya chipped in.

Shortly after, two servants walked into the reception hall and I knew immediately they were from his pack.

"Long live the Alpha of the moonlit pack, my Lady," they both chorused, giving a full bow.

Standing up, his hands behind him, "may I ask what took you so long to show up?"

"Please accept our apologies, Alpha Jason." I noticed how decent they looked in their uniforms, a black shirt with a gold wolf howling near the buttons each one of the chauffeur shirts bearing the Royal crest.

"Here, Alpha," one of the guards said, handing two sunglasses to Jason. He wore one on me, wearing the other on himself.

"Now we're good to walk under the sun," he said, squeezing my hand a little. I looked up at him, smiling.

"You look beautiful in it," he complimented.

"And you, you look fantastic, the sunglasses fit you more."

We walked out of the hotel, my hands in Jason's. From a distance I could see the limousine, I was quite amazed at the sleek design. The exterior was sleek and luxurious.

Reaching the limousine I got a clearer view of the exterior. The windows were tinted, giving it a general sense of privacy.

"Get the other car, we're heading to the Royal chamber," Jason commanded the lead guard.

" Yes, Alpha," he replied, taking the keys from Jason and heading over to the car.

Another guard walked before us and pulled the door of the luxurious car open. It was like a private lounge there. The seats were plush and comfortable, with soft leather that feels like butter. There was a bar with Crystal glasses and a mini fridge, hopefully it should be filled with drinks or snacks.

He helped me get into the ride, then he entered. "Maximum comfort," he ordered.

"Of course your majesty, the guard in the driver's seat responded, starting the car. He put the back on sound proof.

"So tell me, Sapphire," Jason started, opening the mini fridge, " Now you know you are elemental, tell me, how would you train yourself to be a better one?"

" Mother denied the fact when I asked her the last time."

" Really? That's pathetic I must say, and she has the responsibility to train you up to use your ability for good and harness your powers to help your pack."

"I know, right. I just feel betrayed, all these years I thought she was my mother. She acted like a mother to me, but now I see everything less in her." He had already poured champagne in two glass cups, handing one to me.

"Say less of that, my Sapphire. I believe they hid the past to protect you."

" From what, Exactly? It's impossible to protect someone by hiding the past from him or her. It's best to confront her."

"No I'm not, she'll have to live the rest of her life without me." I looked outside through the tinted glass window, observing the road track trying my best to distract myself from crying.

"Hey, my love, don't say that," Jason said, dropping his drink by the side table and cuddling me to himself. He left me after a while, still interested in the question.

"But if you fail to confront her, who would help you in developing your gifts? It's her responsibility and you are only letting her go without fulfilling it." He picked up his cup and emptied the contents in his mouth.

" Yeah, right. I just wish she owned up to the truth a long time ago."
