Chapter 28

Ron's POV

I wake with a splitting headache. Looking around I see that I'm in a cell in their dungeon. My hands are shackled with silver chains, and I'm bleeding from my head and my left side. "What the hell happened?" I try calling out to my wolf and get no response. Damn, I'm guessing I won't be healing quickly. My headache throbs as I try to remember what happened. I was making my way across the perimeter when two rogues stopped me, they were patrolling and I started questioning why there were rogues acting as patrol. We started fighting and while I snapped one of their necks I got stabbed in the side and then hit in the head with something hard. I blacked out and woke here, my bleeding won't stop and I'm starting to feel light headed again, when I hear voices coming down the corridor. All of a sudden intense pain starts to fill my body, I do my best to keep it together but when a second wave of pain hits me I can't stop the scream that rips out of me. I grab my stomach and hunch over involuntarily. Shit! What's happening to me? It feels as if my insides are being ripped and scorched from within, and as another scream rolls out of me, someone rips open the door to the cell. "What's wrong with him?" the guy asks. "Shit! Don't tell me they used the destabilizer on him" the woman says out loud. A third scream comes rolling out of me but is interrupted by a round of intense vomitting. "Once I give him this have doc treat him first!" she yells before I'm greeted by beautiful red hair and a pair of concerned eyes. She looks like the Minx. I weakly grab her hand and say, "Minx?". She freezes and looks at me shocked, "you...who?" she asks taken aback. "Alph..." I try to say, but another wave of pain grips me and another scream barrels out. The next thing I know she injects me with something as I'm on the verge of passing out. The last thing I hear is her telling me that I'd be ok, I pass out after that.

Jason's POV

I keep my jaw locked as this last rogue's blood splurts from between my teeth, I give him two good shakes and hear the snap of his neck. Releasing his limp body I take a second to listen if any of them got away. "Good, we got them all," Spike says to me. We continue running, this time we weren't interrupted by anymore rogues. As I get to the perimeter I shift back and grab a spare shorts from one of their stashes. As I get closer to the warrior clinic, the smell of blood fills my nose. I walk into the clinic and I'm immediately greeted by blood splattered across the walls and dead bodies scattered through the hallways. As I'm making my way to the doc's office I see him turn down the hallway coming towards me. He had one she-wolf in his arms as another walked beside him. When they spot me they stop, I raise my hands and say, "It's me doc, Alpha Jason, what happened here? Where's Ron?". He starts walking again and as he passes me he says, "I haven't seen Beta Ron, if you can't link him then he might've gotten caught or hurt. Sapphire came back to save us, she started here and made her way to the pack house, she reclaimed the pack house and is going after Seth right now, you're too late. But judging from how you look and the stench of blood coming off of you, you came as quickly as possible".

Sighing, "how did this even happen in the first place? What happened to Alpha Black?" I ask. As we walkthrough the darkness, he tells me everything that happened and as we made our way to the pack house we see how Sapphire single handedly dealt with all the rogues. Bodies and pieces of bodies were laying here and there. We get to the main hospital first, where the doc gets the girls comfortable and sorted out. Once they were both hooked to IVs and were given medicine, we headed to the pack house. Once we get there, the young alpha to be Tristan meets us at the dungeon entrance. He's also surprised to see me here but he just leads us to the cells. Turning to the doc, "Alpha Sapphire told me to have you treat this person first", he says with a little confusion, "something about the rogues using a destablelizer or something like that on him". "How'd they get destablelizers?" Spike asks, "If rogues have destablelizers then that means the vampires are involved, which means that Anna will be able to find out what we need to know".

Thinking about Ms. Xander I can't help thinking about my mate. Closing my eyes, I try to remember how she felt in my arms last night. "I hope mate's family is well and she comes to find us soon," Spike grumbles. "Me too," I agree. "Here he is doc" Tristan says. "Alpha Jason, I need you come in here," the doc says. As I step into the cell I almost lose it. Passed out on the ground, is Ron. "What happened to him?" I ask walking over to him. "I don't know" Tristan answers, I never saw them bring him down here, Sapphire only stopped down here because she wanted to show me how to give them the medicine she had before going after Seth, we heard him screaming in pain and that's when Sapphire mentioned the destablelizer, she gave him something right before he passed out and he's been asleep since. His wounds are finally healing, the destabilelizer was blocking any healing ability. Lightly squeezing my best friend's arm, "I owe her more than I can ever repay" I say. I pick my best up and start walking out of the cell, "I'm going to take him to the hospital". "No need to for that Alpha..." the doc starts out but I cut him off, "Doc he needs a hospital". Walking out the broken cell door, "Yes, and I'm sure we'll have everything we need in the alpha's safe room. That's where the Luna, alpha Seb and young Luna Lily are". When we get to the safe room, the doc enters his code and gets the door open. As we step in, the young Luna runs out to see who got in. Once she sees the doc she runs over crying. The doc calms her down, checks alpha Seb and the Luna and then gets Ron hooked up to an IV. The doc says he's going to go treat the others in the cells. Tristan told me where they brought alpha Black so, I call a few of my men and tell them where to meet me. I won't allow Sapphire to do this on her own". Chuckling, I say to Spike, "who would've thought this is how we would finally end up meeting her, after I asked alpha Black to let me have her as a chosen mate?".
