Chapter 60

Sapphire's POV

"It's so beautiful, isn't it?" he asked. I turned to look at him but I noticed that he was facing the other side of the car, the opposite tinted window.

"Don't you have thoughts of yours? No offense, but how do you constantly barge into my thoughts? " I asked, smiling. He looked over to me, returning the smile.

" Our thoughts just keep on knitting up. So long as we're close together our thoughts will keep on getting mixed up."

I turned back towards the window and started admiring the beautiful flowers on the road. Its slender stems swayed gently in the breeze.

"Life," Jason started, "is like a flower that blooms in the path of true love, destiny unfolds it's petals, revealing the beauty of forever."

" Wow poetic, That's beautiful, Jason."

" Right. But it's the truth. Destiny unfolds the petals of the flower that grows in the path of true love. Give love a chance and you'll never regret it."

Holding my hands and squeezing it a little, "I already did, Jason. I gave love another chance the previous night, and I'm willing to give love a chance again," I said.

" I love you, Sapphire," he said a little above a whisper.

" Hmmmm.... isn't too soon for all that."

"I know it is but I do love you but i can wait for you for a while"

"For a while?"

" Yes, for a while, probably a little while," he teased.

" A little while would be enough." We bursted into laughter, our eyes locking on each other. Gradually, the smile faded, we moved closer to each other as if attracted by a magnetic force.

We leaned on each other, our eyes locked and lips locked . We were hungry for each other or better still my wolf was hungry for her mate. Jason picked me up and placed me on his legs, not breaking the kiss once.

Slowly he rubbed my back, he held my zips, breaking the kiss and looking at me. I knew he was asking for approval so I nodded my head and continued kissing him.

Just as he brought down the zip of my dress, the telephone rang. Jason looked up immediately and hissed.

Picking up the phone at the third ring, "We arrived at the pack borders, Alpha," the person at the other end spoke.

Panting, "alright, just drive to the pack house" Jason replied, relaxing his back on the seat. We tried to button up and look normal. I looked over at Jason, discovering part of my makeup on his lips.

"You wouldn't want to go into the pack house looking like that," I said, chuckling.

" How?"

I leaned over, using my hand to wipe off the stain.

"That'll do."

The gates leading to the pack house opened and the limousine drove in. Stopping, the car door was opened, and we stepped out elegantly, our hands together.

"Welcome back, Alpha, it's a pleasure to meet you, my Lady," three maiden greeted, bowing fully in front of us.

" Thank you, clear the bottles in the car" Jason replied, moving into the inner chambers. He went up the stairs.

"Where are we heading to, Jason? I asked him, quite confused at his haste.

"I'm sorry darling, but I must see Ron up at the study, I need to know the state of affairs of the pack," he replied, still moving up in haste.

" That's fine, Jason," I replied, still finding it difficult to catch up with him.

"Don't worry about me, I'll catch up with you two up, I can't surely walk as fast as you with these heels on," I said, finally giving up.

" I'm sorry, darling."

Waving my hands, two steps below him, I urged him to go on. He made giant leaps upwards, taking over three steps in a single motion. Before he left, I forgot to ask him how I'd find the study.

"Damn it," I said, hitting my head.

"Well, how bad could it be?" Enya chipped in.

"Yeah, I'll just find my way there, it wouldn't be a problem, would it?"

Still standing there I took time to look round the pack house, taking my time to admire the beautiful decorations of the staircase and pack house. So this is what the strongest pack looks like, I thought to myself.

It was elegant. The staircase was a curved design with smoothly carved and painted woods, each step of the stairs was covered with a soft golden rug. The ceilings were also really beautiful, painted white but had some carved drawings there also. It took no effort to understand that Jason's pack spent a fortune in creating a beautiful pack house.

Finally getting to the top floor, I felt a level of accomplishment, but it was short-lived, as the staircase had led me to a large hallway, strange to the core. I was immediately not sure of which door to enter and there were no servants around to ask.

"This would be harder than you thought, Sapphire," Enya said.

"Yeah, I noticed," I said, quite annoyed at how she stated the obvious.

I walked straight, ending up at the end of the hallway that is lined with beautiful art pieces on the wall, some art sculptures beside each door.

I looked down at the plush golden carpet, it was also as soft as the ones on the stairs. I ignored the elegance of the hallway as I tried my best to figure out where his study would be.

The doors all looked identical, with nothing to set them apart. I scanned the area for any clue to Jason's study, it felt pointless. Every door had the same intricately carved wood and polished brass, leaving me with no hint of where to go.

"This is becoming difficult." No guards or servants were around, no noise of any kind and it all added to the problem at hand. Once I tried to open a door after knocking several times, only to discover that they were locked.

"Where did all the servants and guards go?" Enya asked, confused as me.

" It's not normal, no guards on post, I thought every pack house should have that"

I reached the door at the end of the hallway, thankfully it opened leading me to another wide space. "Oh, great!" I said, hitting my hand on my head.

"And what would I assume you are looking for?" I heard an unfamiliar voice ask behind me.
I'M MATED TO THE STRONGEST ALPHA MALE
