Telling them

I lazily get out of my bed, I don't remember coming back home since everything went black. I follow painful screams and I find myself in the underground basement. I slowly open the door, and there is a chair in the middle of the room with a small light bulb in the ceiling, down, a badly beaten man sitting in a chair, his face is swollen and very bloody. Justin is still hitting him despite his screams and profuse bleeding, Nikolas gets a small dagger and embedded it into his hand that is resting on the armchair. The man screams again painfully once more, his jaw clenched, glaring at the alpha.
"Oh stop screaming like a little bitch, it's not even silver," I gasp and all eyes turn to me, I've never seen so much blood. I walk closer to him, his face has blood and a few feet behind there are four dead bodies. How inhuman is this, it's obvious they were badly tortured, the other man's eye is swollen, both his wrist cut, and the others mutilated, I can't help but feel nausea
" What do you think you're doing?" I ask in an imperious tone. How can one be this wicked, he looks at me without any remorse.
“ you betrayed my family, you told the base where we are, Serius,” Aurora sneers at the man on the seat, I swear, I almost saw tears in her eyes but blinked them away. She grabs the huge man by his neck and lifts him from the chair with ease. I gape. Princess Aurora is a hybrid princess alright.
“ But why are they after Aviana?” asks Kat, curious.

Nikolas points a gun at Serius, and I back away, shutting my eyes. I sit down on the cold floor, holding my ears with my hands, not wanting to hear the sound of a gunshot.

Nikolas tries to touch me but I scoot away, not wanting to be touched especially with that thing in his hand, I cry loudly and they look at me confused. I am breathing erratically. Shaking my head. I don't want to see it, blood, the blood of my family! My friends, all died.
“ Nik put the gun away now,” Kat tells him.
He gives it to Justin who leaves the room, I try to breathe in and out, rocking myself to comfort, and humming to a song mama used to sing when I felt scared. After minutes, I feel better but silently cry.
Suddenly, strong arms lift me from the cold floor. I bury my face in his hard chest as Nikolas takes me to another room, he sits down with me on his lap, cradled up like a scared child. We are silent until I hear a soft deep sigh, I remove my head from Nikolas' Nik to look around. We are in one of the salons, it's warm in here unlike in the basement. The siblings are looking at me with worried expressions on their faces.
“ Serius talked, it’s not the base who wants her, it’s Omarion Rayes,” Says Justin as he enters the salon. The base organisation is a group of highly trained assassins who are good at hunting people, Mario used them to hunt down his enemies.
“ But Omarion works with Tai, Aviana what do you have to do with them?” Nikolas asks in a hard voice. The seriousness of his tone can't be missed, I get off his lap, at first I felt my legs couldn't support me, but I manage to walk to another seat, facing them. Kat is sitting next to Jeremy. Aurora now with Nikolas, and Justin who was a little away comes to sit next to me.

“ I am running away from Mario because he was my captor for years and I almost killed him,”
I hold my hair, trying to breathe in and out as the siblings look at me with shocked eyes. Minutes pass slowly, as they digest my words. They see me as a frail human, who always needs to be protected like an egg, so it's hard to believe
" That's why you were running," Jeremy says after a while of silence.
" I grew up in poverty and my father took the first chance he got to make money quickly,"
" Drugs," Sighs Aurora, leaning on the sofa and rubbing her belly bump. I tell them everything and they all look at me with sympathy.
" After my papa was killed, Mario took me from my Mother and after my birthday eighteenth birthday, he started you know... Raping me," I whisper the last part, looking down at my fingers. " It wasn't like that at first, he gave me time to fall for him but I saw what he did, and he used to disgust me so I didn't,"
Kat holds my hand but my gaze is fixed on Nikolas, I can't read his emotions.
I continue telling them, how it all started and I find myself crying in the middle of it all. At this moment, Nik's knuckles are white, I quickly wipe my tears.
" It's okay now, I'm alright," I lie to them.
" And your mother?" Asks Jer, I give him a half smile,
"I don't know. For the longest time, I thought I was protecting her, but she knew where I was and she let me be with a man like him, she practically sold me, I was a business deal... all she cared about was keeping her and the business safe."
I unconsciously touch my belly bump, even if it's not my child, I would never give her up, a child I carried. I love it so much already, as if sensing me, she kicks a little making me jump. I'll never get used to this and the happiness that runs down my face and soul every time.
" I'm sorry," I apologize.
" For what?"
" For not telling you and all this is happening because of me, you guys risk your lives for me," I tell them.
" Don't worry, we have fun kicking ass," Jeremy grins, and Kat nods frantically.
" Marion has to die," suddenly declares Aurora.
" Of course," Nik adds with a snicker.
The siblings discuss for a while about how to get Tai and Marion, so far they plan on destroying their businesses first.
It's scary how they casually talk about death like life means nothing, the Princess is watching me like a hawk, as if knowing what I'm thinking.
“Oh come on, don't judge, you should be used by now," she says, getting up with Jeremy's help. They continue to discuss, while I think about my mother, I miss her a lot.
