I walk downstairs slowly, stretching my limbs happily
" Morning," Nik greets gleefully, drinking his coffee. Someone is in a good mood today.
I glare at him, remembering what happened on my date with Amos.
" Are you still upset that I ruined your date with that doctor," he asks, damn, that fucking mocking voice of his is beautiful. I ignore him and make breakfast...

" Okay, now the silent treatment," he grumbles. He sighs and continues to eat his eggs.
" What you did wasn't okay, Nik,"
" Alec, Alec," he mummers, I squint my eyes, now he's blaming his wolf? Alec. I remember a day we interacted.

Flashback
" You're beautiful," Alec says, caressing my cheek, his dark eyes shining and we are taking a walk in the woods.
" Does he know, you are here?" I question. Alec grins and shakes his head, I knew it, they always have to fight for control, Alec is the opposite of his human, sweet.
So he always locks him away at the back of his mind, but they are times he relinquishes control to him If he troubles him too much.
" Don't take over without his permission,"
" He is an alpha, a stubborn one, If he wanted me back he would, don't worry yourself, love," I almost swoon, fuck I love it when he says that. I stop in my tracks to look at him, appreciating this majestic man walking beside me, everything about him is top classic. Starting from his brown hair down to his feet. I sigh swallowing thickly.

I almost choke on my saliva, how can he just say things like this? I shake my head, but it is true, I want him into me, badly in fact.

Nikolas clears his throat and I'm brought back to reality.
" Ok, as I said, I wanted to be the one to ask you out on a date, I just hated that Amos did first," he confesses. I blush under his warm gaze and turn around, trying to breathe. Taking a final gulp of air, I turn around to face him. My heart is pounding loudly and fast at our proximity.
" We should have dinner together," He whispers.
" We usually have dinner together,"
" Like a date?" He says almost like a question. I hesitate, and I watch as worry dances in his eyes but am enjoying this quite too much, so I pretend to still think.
" Ava, I'm..." He starts but I cut him off
"Sure, I would love to,"
Nikolas sighs in relief at my positive response and I push him away.
" You're late for work,"
He nods and kisses my cheek and my face is red at this point. He smirks knowingly and leaves the kitchen.
" Mama!" A small voice calls from upstairs.
" Coming, baby!" I shout. I go to my daughter's bedroom.
" Good morning, my Princess," Amber smiles and stretches her arms.

Taking her to the bathroom, I wash her and as usual, getting out Is a problem, she never wants to leave the jacuzzi.
" Aah," she squeals as she splashes water. I let her in there for a while and remember about my date, and what will I wear. I get Amber out despite her desperate attempts to stay. After getting her ready for the day, I text Gaby Molaros.

She takes some seconds before she replies, I know she's busy with the packs but she's the first person I thought of since she is some stylist for Aurora.
I hear giggling in the bathroom and I go to check, Amber is playing with water and all her clothes are drenched.
"Amber, what are you doing in here?!" She gives me a cheeky smile and then puppy dog eyes. We start the changing process over again.
As I brush her hair, Kat comes to say hi, I see her less nowadays as she is spending more time with her mate.
" You're staying at aunt Aurora's tonight," I tell my baby, she nods excitedly because she will spend time with her cousin.
" Where are we going, Mama?"
" I'm going out with Dada," She looks up at me with a scowl

" At a fancy place and it's just the two of us,"
My phone rings and I pick it up.
" Nik,"
" Getting ready?" He asks, I look at the time, it's so early.
" Anxious, are we?" I tease.
" Yes,"
We talk for a while before giving the phone to our daughter.
" Hi, Dada!" I watch my daughter with a smile as she talks to her father, and tells him how excited she is about playing with Julian. She gives me back the phone and I talk to Nikolas.
" Okay, I'll be ready on time," I tell him.

Pulling into the huge castle Xavier gifted Aurora when she birthed their heir, I once again look at it in awe, it's magnificent with a homey feel to it, beautiful pavement, and a water fountain in front.
I see Xavier as I stop the car, waiting for us in front of their home, prince Julian is jumping up and down next to him.
The young prince grins happily to see his cousin as well. Amber and I walk towards them.
" Hi, Juju!" She waves.
" Don't call me that!" He hisses lowly, letting a small growl escape his lips. My daughter frown but smiles.
" Juju," she teases again, looking at him with mischievous eyes before running into the house.
" I won't show you the plane my Nana got me!" Julian shouts still chasing after her.
I turn back to Xavier with a smile. He kisses my cheek politely.
" Do you think he'll confess?" I ask, and he shrugs.
"You are meant to be together, I know he'll choose you," he says, conviction to his voice as he escorts me back to the car. The king opens the door for me and I wave at him, before driving off.
