Ava, I love you," Amos says standing, and pacing around the room. I knew he was interested in me but he always knew I was in love with Nikolas, everyone did.
" You know how I feel about Nikolas," I tell him quietly. Amos is a good man but I don't like him in that way.
He laughs coldly, in a scary manner.
" That alpha who never even pays mind to you. Are you not tired already of being treated like trash? You're just a babysitter, caring for his child,"
I feel anger bubble within me, how dare he say that, involving my child in his madness?
" Amber is my daughter," I growl slowly so that the words sink in. I glare, and his face widens with amusement.
" He is Alpha Nikolas and Loren's, you just hosted their child because she couldn't carry, so get your head out of the clouds, she's not yours, and If you think just because you playing moth- "
I hit him before he can finish his sentence, my hand hurts, damn! I glare at him and his eyes widen, holding his stinging cheek.
" Leave now and don't ever show yourself to me again," I order, my own voice surprising me. I turn to leave but he grabs my arm, pulling me towards him.
" Let me go," I struggle against his grip. I try to push him away but am no match for his strength, his eyes darken.
" I've wanted you since the day I laid eyes on you, now that man gets you? Why because he is alpha?" He questions and with all my might I push him away but just for a little while before he charges at me, clasping my arms.
" You're mine, mine," He grumbles, oh god. I ran away from an obsessed man and I have another here! What kind of luck is this?
" Security," I cry but my voice is not too strong, he doesn't even realize the damage he is doing to my arms. Amos tries to kiss my neck but I move my head from side to side.
" Let me go you, bastard,"
A growl resonates and I smile, thank God.
" Let. Her. Go," Nikolas growls. Amos looks taken back but slowly releases me, swallowing thickly as he looks at his Alpha who is ready to kill him.
" Hello, doctor," Jeremy waves with a smirk on his face, oh well, Amos is dead. Amos releases me immediately and I go to Nik's side.
The alpha is glaring at the doctor. Clearly, Amos is no match, firstly, Nikolas is about 6'4ft tall with muscles while the doctor is roughly 6'0ft tall and I've seen humans who are more muscular than him. I can see the terror in his brown eyes but he growls lowly, what is he dumb? He is challenging his alpha and for who? Me?.
Nikolas walks closer to him, his chest heaving, emitting low growls.
" There is nothing more I hate than men who takes advantage of women,"
I watch in horror as he charges toward Amos, shifting from man to wolf in a second. Now a huge silver beast is standing there, growling at the doctor. Amos' wolf is big but not as big as Alec.
The two wolves growl at each other, circling one another for a bit, but suddenly the brown wolf bows very low almost groveling on his front paws, and his neck touches the ground. Nikolas growls again making the ground tremble, and Amos backs away more, still keeping his neck low
" Dada!" Exclaims my daughter, happily running to the big silver wolf when suddenly Amos' wolf snarls and charges at my daughter but before he gets close, I move in front of her and my body goes flying against the wall and I hit the ground with a thud. Through my blurry vision, I see blood, a lot of blood.
Nikolas' snout is dripping with blood. Despite the pain I feel, my eyes wander to my daughter who is in Jeremy's arms, her head resting on his shoulder as his hand holds her neck. The silver wolf comes to me cautiously, assessing my body before he shifts back.
" Oh goddess, love, you're hurt," Nik looks at me worriedly as he holds my cheek, and kisses my lips. I want to tell him not to worry but a whimper comes out instead of words.
" Don't look, Amber," I hear as darkness takes over.

I stir awake slowly before opening my eyes, two sad green gazes are watching me with a frown on their expression. Nikolas has our daughter on his lap while he sits on the edge of the bed next to me.
" Mama," my daughter gets off him and comes to hug me. I smile as hug her but I wince as my arms hurt, she pulls away to look at her brooding father.
" I hurt mummy," Her face contorts to a crying one, oh boy. I pull her back and hold her tighter, ignoring the pain.
" Don't cry baby, I'm alright," I coo.
" Promise?" She asks in a tiny voice, I nod, smiling.
" How are you?" Nik asks, his eyes softening.
" I'm good," I lie through my teeth because I don't want him to worry. I bring my fingers to my throat and he gives me a glass of water to drink. He caresses my cheek like some sort of reward and I smile,
" What is it?" I ask Amber who was observing us with interest in her bright green eyes.
" Baby, want to get the card we made mama?" Nikolas asks her and her face lights up, she squeals running out of the room. I chuckle, she squeals a lot when she's excited.
I move closer to Nikolas, wrapping my arms around his neck.
" Why do you have a frown?" I kiss his lips but he doesn't kiss me back, I pout.
" What is it, baby?" I ask but his eyes are fixed on my arm " Did I do something wrong?"
He shakes his head negatively.
" I'm sorry you got hurt, I didn't protect you,"
Is that why he is brooding?
" It wasn't your fault, you were right. I shouldn't have let him close to me," I concede. Nikolas has been telling me to not let Amos close but I said he's harmless, and the fucker almost killed my daughter!
" When am I ever wrong?" He teases with a small smile again. I shake my head but his face goes back to a serious one.
" I'm sorry I couldn't protect you sooner," he apologize, looking into my eyes, " From that sick man Mario now this! I'm not a good partner,"
" Oh babe, it's not your fault and I don't want to talk about them. Now am I getting my kiss or not,"
Nik smiles mischievously, looking at the ceiling as though he is thinking. I wait for my kiss but it doesn't come.
"Should I? you are unwell, love, Nena said you should rest," I sigh looking at him. I can't believe his mine now, I want to scream at the top of my voice on the Eiffel tower that Nikolas Wulfric is mine, finally, I want the whole world to know, we are a couple.
" I'm all better," I say, he slowly kisses my exposed neck, and a shiver runs through me as he focuses on that part, licking and sucking it, his heartbeat suddenly accelerates as he leaves wet kisses on it before coming to my lips, his beautiful soft lips. I love them, we share a sweet kiss, and it deepens. He hovers over me carefully without putting her weight on me. He resumes the kiss and I moan, feeling hot on my body...

We turn to the door to look at our daughter but we didn't expect to see Xavier and Aurora next to her.
" Is uncle hurting her?" Julian asks, confused about the position we are in. Xavier's hand immediately covers his son's eyes while Aurora does the same to Amber.
" Oh my, we'll be downstairs," Chuckles Aurora as she drags her husband by the arm, his eyes fixed on us with a small smirk.
