It has been over a year now and my baby is growing graceful. I watch Amber play with her best friend, Julian, Aurora's son, and his silver dragon. I only have them once a week but after their playdate, I sleep for hours!
" Lian, no," complains my daughter in her small tone as Julian splashes water paint on her clothes, lately they love the water and the king makes Julian paint, but it's obvious he hates it, unlike his father.
The Dragon Prince smiles, pleased that the paint got to Amber's clothes, my daughter wipes her face with her hands.
Amber runs to me on her small legs, her two ponytails bouncing up and down as she does, when she enters, her green eyes look up to me with a small smile then frowns.
" Mummy, Lian is getting my dolls and clothes wet," she complains.
I crouch down to her size.
" Do you want to change?" She nods, scowling at her small shorts and crop top. I carry her In my arms as we go upstairs to her room.
When we reach her bedroom, I put her on the bed before going to her closet.
" What do you want to wear?" I ask checking through her clothes, we really do need to donate some.
" I want my pink dress," she responds
" Which one," there are all kinds of pink dresses in here.
" Um, the one aunty Dani got me,"
I go to the other part of the closet, getting the exact dress she wants.
Daniella got it for her last week, so it's new and still the favorite, but like everything else this too she will get tired of.
I hear Nikolas' voice but he doesn't come in.
Life has changed since Amber was born, Nikolas is the best father to his daughter but he has been distant from me, keeping himself busy with work. I have been waiting for months for him to make a move or officially ask me out but he hasn't, so I moved on, I guess. I spend most of my time with Amber, I still run the cafe, Camellia cafe is becoming people's favorite in the city, we make huge profits and I'm very proud of myself even Nik said he was proud of me.
The alphas in the city are anxious since they found out that the evil witch awakened the day the Prince was born and is coming to attack us all.
But most of all, it wants them, Julian and Aurora, she wants their power, much, but Daniella is confident that she can defeat the evil one.
"Mummy, are you ok?" I clear my throat before carrying her from the bed.
"I can walk, you know," she struggles out of my arms. I put her down and we walk out of the room, her tiny hands in mine, it's the best feeling.
" Ok, my big girl," she giggles beautifully, my daughter likes it when I call her that.
We better go downstairs before Julian and his dragon come in here, I'm not in the mood to clean her room again.
I go downstairs but stop in my tracks when I hear voices from Nikolas' study room.
" Don't worry, we'll win," Nikolas assures his sister strongly.
" Mariana's spies say she has an army, werewolves, and vampires," says Aurora in a strained voice, this is affecting her badly, Xavier told me she works a lot lately.
" We'll kill them," Nikolas is as confident as ever says.
" Those are my people Nik, they left when Elias was banished ages ago," she grumbles quietly.
" I know but what choice do we have, the attack three years ago was just to try us, she wanted to see our strength, what is coming is bigger, you heard the prophecy! So don't dare even think about trying to be their savior or anything because if they step foot on our lands, they are fucking dead," says Nikolas sternly.
" But Nik, some are innocent..."

" Is it not bad manners to listen to people's conversation mummy?" The little girl next to me asks tugging my skirt, I hesitate to search for words.
" Um, um," what do I tell her, Amber is looking at me with her mesmerizing green eyes, waiting for my response,
" My foot hurt a little, so I was waiting for the pain to go away," I lie through my teeth.
" Are you feeling pain?" She asks looking worried and I shake my head.
" I'm fine now baby girl," I smile making my way downstairs. We continue to walk.
When I finally reach where the kids are playing, she runs to her peers.
" Hi, Talya!" My daughter waves to the older girl, Talya is Aurora's adopted daughter, she is an orphan, and she is a seer.

" Hi Talya, how are you?" I greet her, she looks tired, still in her small uniform and carrying her school bag pack.
" How is school?"
" It's going well," she sighs audibly and screams,
" Julian, don't do that! Get down!" she shouts, running towards her brother who is giggling, flying to the dragon's back. I gasp when I see him almost falling.
" Lian, get down," I order, the dragon growls at me, almost menacingly and I take a step back.
" Please, get down," a small sound resonates from the dragon.
"Gently," I add as the dragon lands back on the ground.
" Kids, snacks!" Calls Dina when she finishes setting up the table, I notice how Talya keeps looking at her.
Her eyes change color as she watches the Nanny's movements like a spectator.
" Traitor, traitor," she whispers like a song. I march towards her but before I can reach her my phone rings. I check the caller id before putting it to my ear.
" Hello,"
" Aviana, how are you?" It's Doctor Amos, why is he calling me this time?
" Am alright, and you?" We exchange pleasantries and chat for a while, I keep walking around like a giddy schoolgirl talking to their crush. I see Troy with our chef, yes, I knew it, those two have chemistry, and they are in love. I talk to Amos for a while longer, and I can't help but smile.
We have gotten close lately and I like to spend time with him.
" Want to go on a date with me?" He asks. I'm at a loss for words, a date? What about his girlfriend?
" Please, Ava, you'll have fun,"
" Ok," I answer.
I hung up the phone and sigh but jump when I hear Nik's sarcastic voice.
" A date huh," I roll my eyes
