The Alpha's daughter

I get up from the bed abruptly, rushing to get my discarded clothes on the floor and put them on.
" What do you mean she's gone?" I question in a shaky voice. Nikolas explains that Amber and Dina are nowhere near the property but how is it possible that no one saw them leave the mansion? This is a joke, a fucking sick one.
" I thought they were in the garden because Amber likes it there but one of my men said they weren't there... They are not on the property, love," He says, conflict clear in his eyes as he paces around agitatedly.
" Maybe they went out for ice cream,"
I look at the clock on the wall, it's past ten already, who goes out this time? It's unlike Dina to do that.
" I will kill her," Nik growls, exiting the room and I go after him.
" Do you think they were taken by force? Maybe she took her out for some air and -" I hear Justin's distant voice.
"No, there is no sign of struggle, sir, the nanny has kidnapped the child," says Don, looking worriedly at the tablet in his hands.
" But why?" whispers Nik. I reluctantly get the tablet Don is giving me and look at the screen. I gasp when I see Dina leaving my daughter's room through the window.
" No, No... This is Dina, she was there when Amber was born and has cared for her since," I was a crying mess at this point. I can't think straight, and as seconds go by, fear is creeping down on me. I shudder at the thoughts in my messed-up head right now. Stay positive Ava, it's alright, be optimistic. With quivering hands, I get my phone from my pocket and dial the nanny's number but it goes to voicemail.
" Queen Aurora has closed off all the borders, Jeremy and his hunters are searching in the western side of the city," Justin informs us after mind-linking someone shortly.
" Heard the mind link,"
Everyone is moving around the house, fighters of the pack keep coming in and out of the house, and the maids look scared, and wary of Nikolas' dark aura.
I cry out, tugging my hair. Where has Dina gone with my daughter?
" I'm such a bad mother," I plop onto one of the sofas. I feel hands around my shoulder but I don't want to be comforted right now. The door opens and Aurora and Dani hurriedly come toward us.
" Nik," she hugs her brother tightly, whispering comforting words in his ears before coming to my side.
" Xavier and the others are searching North of the city while Alexander's men are in the Eastern borders. The vampire queen's guards are also patrolling, we'll get my niece back, I promise," she says kindly.
" Why did she do this? Dina should know that she can't leave the city," mutters Daniella, her hair is disheveled, and is still in her pajamas, they must have called her from the Red moon clan where she usually stays with Jeremy as they try to fix their relationship.
" I should be out there Aurora, looking for my daughter, why did you ask me to stay?"
" The city is too vast, they could be anywhere and it will take time for us to find them, so I asked Daniella to perform a locator spell. You are the strongest link to the baby, therefore, I'll need your blood," She asks one of the servants to bring a knife
" Could it be that the Nanny is working with your enemies,"
I choke on a sob and Aurora wraps her arms around me. Letting me cry as long as I want.

" We'll find her and we won't spare her,"
After getting enough blood from Nik, he leaves followed by Don and Justin.
I stand up running to them but he stops me
" No, love you have to stay here, I'll bring her back," I try to protest but I'm not given a chance to. He pulls me into an embrace and kisses my hair.
" I'll bring her back to us, I promise," he assures me and wipes a tear from my face with his thumb. Kissing my forehead quickly but the need to kiss his lips overpowers me and I pull him to me and give him a sensual kiss.
" I'll be back, with Amber," I nod and he closes the door.
I sit on the cold floor, and bring my knees to my face, sobbing loudly. After a long time, I get up and go to the garage. I pick a random key and lights flash to a black Camaro. Getting in the car, I leave the property.
I've been searching now for quite some time in the pack. The night is busy, wolves in their form while others in human, running through the streets.
The police are searching every car there out there, they even searched mine. I cried when they told me they are looking for a baby that was kidnapped, the alpha's child. I park at a spot and got out as I felt like suffocating.
" It's the king and Queen's niece," I turn my gaze to the small circle of teenage boys and girls.
" Alpha Wulfric's daughter," Another one adds, looking sorry. I lean against the car and cry silently as the teenagers continue to whisper what could have happened to my child.
From what I've learned, the city is on lockdown and no supernatural can leave.
Where could Dina be for fuck sake? I think to myself she?
A buzzing of my phone snaps me back to reality. I wipe my eyes away and then look at my phone, it's Dina! Relief floods through me and I smile bitterly as I enter my car.
" Why?" I choke. " Nik... The others think you kidnapped my baby, that's not true right?" I stutter, starting the engine and going back into the main room. There is silence on her side as I continue my rant, crying harshly now as I realize what she did.

my heart slams against my chest when I hear that awful voice, a voice I didn't think I'll hear again but I was wrong, so wrong. I bring my hand to my mouth, holding a sob that might escape my lips, if it's a dream I want to wake up now.
