Nikolas invites me in and I do.
" Mama!" My daughter runs down the stairs, happy to see me. I smile and hug her tightly into my arms.
" Tell me everything," immediately, Amber begins to indulge me about what happened since I was away. My eyes bulge at her words
" You watched a movie with who?" I growl, making the little girl flinch, fuck, I didn't want to scare her
" Diana!" She smiles. I narrow my gaze at Nikolas but he looks away, pretending to look at the Tv.
" You guys watched a movie and went out?" I inquire again, and my daughter nods.
" Daddy came with us," she adds, I'm fuming right now, I'm mad!
" Anything you want to say?" I ask Nik, he scratches the back of his head awkwardly.
" It was just an innocent date, the movie was premiering and Diana took her son as well," he shrugs. I raise my eyebrows, how is it innocent when they spend so much time together
" Innocent," I repeat.
" Mama, I have new drawings!" Amber says.
" Are you upset?" Nikolas asks but I ignore him and turn to my daughter, it's her I came to see. I tell myself.
' I don't want to see him right now,' snarls my wolf, and I agree. We are working on having a better relationship these days.
" Let's go, Amber," I hold her hand and lead her to the kitchen despite her protest.
" Let's leave that cheater!" I shout, emphasizing the word cheater, I hear Nik sigh then his voice follows
" It was a guiltless date!" He defends but I don't care.
" Daddy is a cheater?" Asks Amber as we walk into the huge kitchen.
" No,"
I exchange pleasantries with the help who are happy to see me. One of them tells me that Dina turned herself in and was arrested, however, she won't stay there for long and her brother is living at the packhouse.
" Aaron, I'll make lunch for Nik and Amber today," I say, the chef protests but I insist, Aaron too leaves to spend some time with his boyfriend.
" You smell weird," he says before leaving. Weird?
" Does Mama stink?" I ask my daughter, she cutely flares her nose and shrugs.
" I don't know."
I cook lunch as Amber tells me stories.

I hear Nikolas chuckle in the living room, and my ears perk up, what the fuck?
" Finish eating your salad, I'll be back,"
I leave Amber with one of the help and go to Nik, he is talking on the phone and smiling. He talking to a woman.
" Yes... Tomorrow, I'll send my secretary,"
" Come on, alpha I was hoping you'd come so we have dinner," a nauseating voice says on the other end.
" Mama, I'm done eating!" Amber calls.
" Good girl," I go back in the kitchen and carry Amber, my mood fouls when I realize Nik is still on phone with that woman! The desire to throw away the phone is overtaking me.
" I want to nap, mama," Amber yawns and I get her to her nanny. I grab a glass of water and drink, all while watching Nikolas. I didn't know I was holding the glass so tightly until it broke in my hands.
"Ava, you're bleeding," Nik ends his call and inspects my hand.
He takes me to the kitchen sink and washes my hand and I watch as the deep cut closes so fast.
" Love, are you alright?"
" Who were you talking to?" I question. He sighs.
" Diana,"
" Since when are you friends with her?" I ask firmly
" We are now kinda friends because of our kids," He says and I narrow my gaze on him. I connect my lips to his in zeal and he kisses me back with the same eagerness.
We continue kissing and he lifts me in his arms, I wrap my legs around him. My fingers fumble over his buttons but I can't undo them so I clumsily rip his shirt off. He smirks and I kiss his lips unable to hide my shyness.
" Fuck me, please," my request surprises me and he pulls away, caressing my jaw. The sexual desire is too much, and goosebumps appear everywhere on my body. I want this man and my body is hot.

" oh," I mutter, is he rejecting me? I feel tears in my eyes and before I can say another word, he speaks;

I follow him and hug him from behind, leaving wet kisses on his back before going to face him, his eyes are dark with desire but why can't we be together?
" Are you rejecting me now? Why? Did you find someone? it's that woman you were talking to, right?" I rumble, tears burning my eyes again.
" I want you so bad but you're not ready right now, Ava, you're only acting this way because you are in heat," I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, heat? What is that?
