CHAPTER 347

Arianna chuckled suddenly, the sound cutting through the tense room like a blade.

Sarah’s face darkened. “What’s so funny?”

Arianna’s gaze sharpened as her mocking smirk deepened.

“You don’t know why I’m laughing? Or are you just pretending to be clueless?” Her tone dripped with contempt as she continued,

“You talk about giving her a ‘life’ with all the so-called luxuries of food and shelter at the facility. But let’s be honest—what you’ve done is lock her up like a prisoner. No, scratch that—you’ve imprisoned her on a hospital bed.”

Arianna’s words came quick and scathing, her voice rising with righteous anger.

“She couldn’t contact anyone. Every move she made—whether eating, drinking, or even going to the bathroom—was under constant surveillance. No one to talk to. No sense of time. Days blended into nights as she stared at the same blank ceiling over and over. Tell me, how is that any different from being dead?”

She let her words hang in the air for a moment before continuing, her tone sharper.

“And now you dare to say she wasn’t grateful? If that’s your idea of a good life, why don’t you try it? I’d be more than happy to fund your permanent stay under the same conditions!”

Sarah flinched, her face betraying a flash of discomfort, but Arianna wasn’t finished. She pressed on, her voice heavy with accusation.

“Not only did you deny her the chance to love, but you stripped her of her basic human rights. You crushed her health—physically and mentally. She was a vibrant, healthy woman once, but because of you, she’s frail, sick, and on the verge of losing her sanity!”

Her voice trembled with emotion, but she didn’t falter.

“The only reason she hasn’t gone mad is because of the hope she clings to—Professor Cornwell. If it weren’t for him, she’d have already become the shell of a human you wanted her to be.”

She paused, taking a short breath.

“If she hadn’t held on to her love for Professor Cornwell, she would’ve lost her sanity long ago, exactly as you intended!”

Arianna’s tone turned sharper, her anger bubbling to the surface.

“That so-called ‘chance at life’ you gave her was nothing more than a deliberate attempt to break her spirit and destroy her mind. You wanted her silenced—too broken to reveal the filth you’ve buried. Don’t you dare insult my intelligence by painting yourselves as generous benefactors!”

Arianna rarely used foul language, but the rage inside her boiled over. She spat,

“You turned her life into a living hell—a fate worse than death!”

Her words landed like blows, and both Brian and Sarah’s faces darkened with shame and anger.

For all their prestige and power, they weren’t accustomed to being called out so blatantly, especially by someone they saw as beneath them.

Sarah’s lips pressed into a thin line as Brian placed a hand over hers, attempting to calm her. He gave Arianna a cold, warning glare.

“You’re not in a position to talk big, Mrs. King. Your time is running out. You should save your energy.”

Arianna met his gaze fearlessly, her voice unwavering.

“Exactly because my time is running out, I intend to say everything I need to.”

Her eyes blazed with righteous fury as she shifted her piercing gaze to Brian.

“You're no better than your wife? You’re just as twisted. You tore apart your son’s happiness because you cared more about appearances than his well-being. All you cared about was what people would say about him falling in love with his student. To protect your reputation, you were willing to destroy Ms. Levy—whether by locking her away or ending her life altogether. And yet, you dare act like a noble father in front of him!”

Brian’s expression hardened, but Arianna’s words had struck deep.

“You told your son that Ms. Levy had gone abroad to study, was living a happy life, had met someone new, and even gotten married—all to make him let go of her.”

“You went as far as forcing her to write letters and forging photos of her with a fabricated family, just to sell that lie. You wanted to ensure he believed the story you’d spun.”

“That’s why Professor Cornell took the blame for everything that happened recently. He didn’t want the media digging into Ms. Levy’s life and shattering the ‘peaceful’ existence you pretended she had.”

Arianna’s voice was razor-sharp, each word cutting deeper.

“You think maintaining this image of a respectable, decent father makes you noble? All you are is a hypocrite hiding behind lies!”

Brian’s face turned stark white, his body trembling with fury. His chest heaved as he struggled to control his anger.

Arianna’s boldness had struck a nerve, and he could barely contain himself.

“You talk too much!” he roared.

“Let’s see how much you’ll say when you’re meeting the reaper!”

He shot a glance at Sarah, who immediately understood. Pulling a syringe from her pocket, she handed it to him without hesitation.

Brian stood and walked toward Renee, uncapping the syringe to reveal the deadly needle. Arianna’s breath caught as she realized its purpose—it was a lethal injection.

Brian reached for Renee, but Arianna broke free from the bodyguard’s grasp and stepped in front of her.

Brian let out a low, mocking laugh.

“Do you think you can stop me? Fine. I’ll start with you!”
