CHAPTER 75
Arianna hid behind a pillar, straining to see what the server was typing. Although she couldn't make out the exact message, she had a hunch that he was sending something from her phone.
After sending the message, the server promptly deleted it and powered off the phone. Without a second thought, he tossed it into a nearby trash bin and hurriedly walked away.
As soon as he was gone, Arianna emerged from behind the pillar and quickly made her way to the trash bin. She retrieved her phone and turned it back on, her mind racing with possibilities.
Arianna retrieved the deleted message and read it carefully.
When she saw the recipient’s number, she was taken aback. She hadn’t expected Violet to instruct the server to text Xander!
The message read, "Get Xander to come to the guest room on the second floor in half an hour. There’s something important I need to tell him."
Arianna paused to consider her next move.
Initially, she believed Violet had invited her to this party to target her specifically. However, it seemed the situation was more complex than she had anticipated.
Violet's schemes extended beyond just Arianna.
Chelle had been right; the mother-daughter duo's ambitions knew no bounds.
With this in mind, Arianna's curiosity was piqued. She was eager to uncover their plans.
The guest room was upstairs...
Arianna smiled to herself. She tied her long hair into a ponytail and tore off the train of her dress, making it easier to move.
She then returned to the hall, blending seamlessly into the crowd. When no one was watching, she quietly made her way upstairs.
The second floor was empty and eerily quiet.
Arianna moved cautiously towards the guest room. Upon reaching the door, she knocked softly.
Hearing no response from within, she turned the knob and entered.
Arianna quickly scanned the room. It appeared to be an ordinary guest room with nothing out of the ordinary. Just as she began to ponder Violet’s intentions, she heard footsteps approaching from outside.
Did he not say half an hour later? Why was Xander already here?
With no time to escape, Arianna made a quick decision and walked toward the large closet. She opened the door and slipped inside.
Just as she concealed herself, the guest room door opened, and the footsteps grew louder.
Peeking through a small gap in the closet, Arianna saw that it wasn't Xander but Piper and what appeared to be her housekeeper.
Piper directed the housekeeper, “Quickly, set everything up.”
The housekeeper nodded and placed a small object onto the decoration at the head of the bed. Then, she took out a small incense stick, set it on the bedside table, and lit it.
"Ms. Schmidt, everything is ready," the housekeeper reported.
Piper nodded with satisfaction. "Good. Now, go outside and keep watch. Let me know as soon as Xander comes upstairs."
"Of course, Ms. Schmidt." The housekeeper then exited the room.
Piper's face lit up with excitement and anticipation. The thought of what was about to happen made her cheeks flush, and her voice dripped with affection as she murmured, "Xander, you'll be mine soon!"
From her hiding spot, Arianna pieced together the plan. The items the housekeeper placed were undoubtedly a pinhole camera and an incense stick laced with a potent aphrodisiac. It was clear that Piper intended to create a compromising situation and capture it on camera.
The scheme was cunning, and Arianna felt a mix of anger and determination. She knew she had to think quickly to thwart Piper's devious plan. She stayed hidden, waiting for the right moment to act.
Violet and Piper were scheming against Xander!
Violet, however, was no fool. She understood all too well the dire consequences of crossing Xander. Therefore, she devised a plan to use her thorn in the side, Arianna, as the scapegoat.
The scheme was meticulous. Violet arranged for someone to steal Arianna's phone and send a misleading message to Xander, luring him to the guest room. Once there, Xander would unknowingly be exposed to the potent aphrodisiac incense, impairing his judgment and rendering him vulnerable.
The plan was devilishly clever. Violet could easily place all the blame on Arianna, making it appear as though she had orchestrated the entire setup.
Meanwhile, Piper would strategically time her entrance to coincide with Xander's arrival, positioning herself as his "savior" and "antidote." This would not only win Xander over but also frame Arianna as the manipulative instigator.
Arianna's mind raced as she pieced together the nefarious plot. She knew she had to act swiftly and decisively to expose their treachery and protect herself and Xander from their deceit.
Their actions in the room would be recorded, serving as damning evidence to coerce Xander into taking responsibility for Piper. With no way to refute the incriminating footage, Xander would be compelled to marry her, succumbing to Violet's manipulative scheme.
However, Arianna suspected that Violet wouldn't stop there. To ensure maximum impact and minimize any chance of escape, she anticipated that Violet would escalate the situation further by live-streaming the events as they unfolded.
Arianna's heart raced as she realized the gravity of the situation. She knew she had to act swiftly to thwart Violet's sinister plan and protect herself and Xander from being ensnared in her web of deceit.
