CHAPTER 357

"Are you thinking about calling the police?" Arianna asked, her voice calm but laced with sarcasm, a small smirk on her face.

"Go ahead. But you'll need real proof to support your claims. From where I stand, there's no witness and no evidence for your story."

Harmony's eyes raced around the area.

There were no cameras.

The complete lack of surveillance at the quiet back entrance felt like a blow. Arianna had picked this spot on purpose, making sure there were no eyes or recordings to challenge her version of events.

"You orchestrated this, didn’t you?" Harmony hissed, her voice trembling with a mix of rage and realization. "You meant for me to end up like this, covered in these injuries."

Arianna tilted her head slightly, her eyes gleaming with a calm yet piercing intensity. Her lips curved into a faint, almost mocking smile as she responded, her tone smooth but laced with undeniable sharpness.

"Injuries? Oh, you must mean those little scrapes and bruises. From what I recall, you simply lost your footing and fell. How unfortunate." She paused, letting her words hang in the air before leaning in just slightly, her voice dropping to a chilling softness.

:Or… are you planning to fabricate a story? Perhaps accuse me of something I didn’t do, like always?"

Harmony’s jaw clenched, her anger simmering beneath the surface.

Arianna’s eyes gleamed as she took a deliberate step closer.

"Go ahead. Accuse me. But you might want to think twice about how convincing your story will be. Bruises from a fall don’t exactly scream ‘attack.’ And as for those joints… well, didn’t I kindly put them back in place?"

Harmony’s hands balled into fists, the humiliation of the moment sinking in. Arianna had made sure there was no evidence, no traceable proof of what had happened.

"I could even help you call the police if you’d like." Arianna pulled out her phone, her fingers dancing over the screen as she dialled the emergency number. Her voice turned mockingly sweet.

"Just make sure you tell them everything. And don’t forget—lying to the authorities can lead to legal trouble. I’d hate to have to sue you for slander."

Harmony’s face burned with fury and helplessness, knowing full well she had no move to make.

"I’d be more than happy to make sure you get your stay behind bars," Arianna said with a smirk.

"No need to thank me!"

"AHHHHHH—" Harmony screamed in rage, her face pale with fury.

She had never imagined Arianna could be so shamelessly audacious! No matter how loud Harmony screamed or how livid she became, there was absolutely nothing she could do to change the situation.

Arianna, having vented her frustration, found Harmony’s presence intolerable and turned to leave. But as she glanced toward the back entrance, something caught her eye.

A figure stood partially concealed in the shadows, phone in hand, as though they had been there long enough to witness everything.

Arianna’s expression hardened, her frown deepening.

Harmony noticed Arianna’s sudden change in demeanour and followed her gaze. When she saw who was standing there, her eyes lit up with hope.

It was Elizabeth.

If it had been a random staff member, they might have chosen to turn a blind eye, unwilling to get involved.

But Elizabeth was different. Known for her rigid sense of justice and her unwillingness to compromise, Elizabeth was not the kind of person to overlook such an altercation.

Harmony’s face crumpled into a mask of desperation, tears streaming down her cheeks as she turned to Elizabeth and cried out,

"Ms. Goldman! You saw it, didn’t you? Arianna attacked me! I’m in so much pain… Please, take me to the hospital and call the police. You can’t let her get away with this!"

Harmony’s voice trembled with a mix of anguish and hope as she pinned her last chance on Elizabeth’s intervention.

If Elizabeth reported the incident to the police, she would undoubtedly become a key witness, making it significantly easier for Harmony to pin the blame on Arianna.

Harmony's heart surged with hope. There was no way Arianna could escape now!

Elizabeth's sharp eyes fell on Harmony first, scanning her dishevelled and battered state with a neutral expression. Then, she shifted her attention to Arianna.

At first, Arianna had been momentarily startled to see Elizabeth there, but she quickly regained her composure. Now, she stood tall, meeting Elizabeth’s gaze without flinching.

Elizabeth’s lips curled slightly in intrigue as she asked, “Aren’t you afraid?”

Arianna hadn’t expected that to be Elizabeth’s opening remark.

Initially, the sight of Elizabeth had unsettled her, but the feeling was fleeting. She was calm now, unshaken.

“I don’t regret it,” Arianna replied with a faint smile, her voice steady.

She knew well that violence wasn’t an ideal solution, but for someone like Harmony, it was the most effective way to deliver justice. Given the chance to do it all over again, she wouldn’t hesitate—she’d make sure Harmony paid even more dearly.

Elizabeth studied Arianna for a few moments before finally saying, "What happened just now... I didn’t see a thing."

Arianna blinked, momentarily taken aback by the unexpected remark.

Harmony, however, erupted with disbelief. She stared at Elizabeth as though she had misheard her.

“Ms. Goldman, what are you talking about? You were right there—you saw everything!”

Elizabeth turned to face her, her expression unwavering.

“Are you questioning my words, Harmony? I said I didn’t see a thing, and I meant it. If you have any doubts, feel free to revisit the matter with someone else.”

Harmony’s face twisted with anger and desperation. She yelled, her tone sharp and accusatory,

“You’re a person of high standing, Ms. Goldman! How can you tarnish your reputation by siding with someone like Arianna?”

The corners of Arianna’s lips tugged upward in quiet amusement as she watched Harmony’s frantic outburst. Harmony’s true colours shone through so clearly—it was laughable how quickly she resorted to insults and insinuations the moment things didn’t go her way.

Elizabeth, unbothered by Harmony’s outburst, merely gave her a cold, dismissive smile.

“Your opinion, Harmony, is of no concern to me.” She then turned her attention back to Arianna, her tone shifting into something lighter.

“Mrs. King, do you have a moment? I was hoping you’d join me for a cup of tea.”

Arianna blinked again, surprised by the unexpected invitation.

Elizabeth Goldman was not the kind of woman to extend such offers lightly.

Harmony, meanwhile, was seething. Not only had Elizabeth refused to support her, but she had also gone so far as to offer Arianna the kind of invitation most people could only dream of receiving.
