CHAPTER 426

Harmony swallowed hard, her eyes darting nervously to Xander.

He didn’t flinch—not once—but the fury burning in his gaze was unmistakable.

“We heard every word,” Rochelle said coldly, kneeling beside Arianna.

“Every threat. Every twisted, delusional thing you spat out. And now you think you can play the victim? Think again.”

Harmony's breath caught.

She looked from one face to another glares, their disgust-until she finally turned back to Xander.

Her gaze swung wildly toward Arianna, then to Xander.

"You were watching this whole time."

He didn't answer.

He didn't need to.

The silence said everything.

Harmony let out a weak laugh-choked and bitter.

"You tricked me," she whispered, blinking rapidly.

"You all tricked me."

"No," Xander said, lifting Arianna gently into his arms.

"You exposed yourself."

She screamed, but her voice cracked, the sound hollow now, her fury bleeding into something else. Fear. Desperation.

Harmony took a hesitant step forward, her fingers outstretched as if to touch Xander, but he recoiled instinctively, pulling Arianna closer into his arms, his protective stance unwavering.

Her eyes widened in feigned hurt as she stepped back, but the desperation in her tone only grew.

"Xander, no... don't you see? She's turning you against me! She's making me look like the villain."

Her voice trembled with exaggerated sincerity as she desperately searched his face for a sign of doubt.

"She tricked me... forced me into saying things I didn't mean. You know me-I would never hurt anyone. I was just... just trying to scare her, Xander! That's all. I said some things I shouldn't have, but it wasn't real. You have to believe me..."

Xander's eyes blazed with fury, the air around him crackling with tension. His voice was low, guttural, and filled with so much anger it could have set the walls on fire.

"Stop the fucking act, Harmony," he growled, his words sharp and venomous.

"I saw everything. Everything."

His gaze flickered briefly to the knife on the floor, the very weapon she'd almost used to take away the two people he loved most, and his grip on Arianna tightened for a moment before he gently handed her over to Rochelle.

He stood, his entire frame vibrating with rage, every muscle tense, his anger spilling over like a raging storm.

"You tried to kill my wife... my unborn child. And for that-" He took a step forward, his eyes never leaving her, voice hardening,

"I'll make sure you rot in jail for the rest of your miserable life. Do you think I won't do it? You think I'll let you get away with this?" He took another step, his gaze unflinching.

"You're done, Harmony. You're done."

His words were an unyielding promise, and every ounce of his fury poured into them. Harmony had played her last card. And now, the game was over.

"X-Xander...no..."

His gaze hardened, his voice lower but more intense, filled with finality.

“You twisted me around your finger for years, and I was blind to it—foolish enough to believe your lies. But that ends now. You've always played the victim? But you’ve been the danger all along. Zach, call the cops.”

Zach’s fingers tightened around his phone as he nodded, ready to dial.

“Wait—Zach, no! You believe me, don’t you? You always believed me,” she pleaded, wiping fake tears from her cheeks.

“Arianna’s just bullying me again. She’s trying to make me look like the villain.”

Zach scoffed, a bitter edge cutting through his voice.

“You deserve an Oscar for that performance. But here’s the truth, Bunny,” he spat her pet name like poison,

“You’re twisted. And the worst part? I regret every damn second I ever stood with you against Arianna.”

He raised his phone with a hard edge in his eyes, fingers trembling slightly — ready to make the call that would end this nightmare.

Harmony's eyes widened in shock, her composure shattering for a split second. The mask she had worn so carefully faltered, revealing the raw, unhinged desperation beneath.

"No..." she whispered, almost too softly at first, as if the weight of his words hadn't fully hit her.

"Xander... please, listen to me. I didn't... I didn't mean for any of this to happen. I-"

The mask she had so carefully built over the years shattered with each word Xander spoke, but she wasn't ready to admit defeat. Not yet.

"Xander, you don't understand," she spat, her voice rising with frustration.

"You think I'm the villain here, don't you? You think I'm the monster, but you've got it all wrong! She's the one who doesn't belong here! She doesn't love you the way I do! You just don't see it-"

Her breath came in jagged gasps as she moved closer, desperation creeping into her tone.

"You know how much I've done for you, for us. The accident......" She was pleading now, her hands shaking as she reached out toward him, her fingers twitching as if she could pull him back into her world with just a touch.

"I did everything for you, Xander. Everything!" Her voice cracked, the tears now streaming down her face, her lips trembling.

"And you can't even see it. You never understood! I saved you remember!"

Her mask slipped further, and the raw, frantic desperation bled through as she looked at him, her eyes wild.

"You chose her... you left me for her... after everything! How could you?! How could you turn your back on me like this?"

Her posture straightened. Her expression sharpened.

"She changed you."

"She saved me." Xander roared.

Something in Harmony snapped.

"She stole you!" she screamed, her voice raw.

"I waited! I was there! Every time you were broken, every time you needed someone was the one who picked up your pieces! I loved you before she ever knew your name!"

"You don't know what love is," Xander said.

"You just wanted to own me."

Harmony laughed-sharp and unhinged.

"Own you? I was there when no one else was! And then she waltzed back in like some fairytale princess and took everything that should've been mine!"

"You almost murdered her," John snapped.

"You really think we're going to believe you now?"

Harmony's expression twisted. "No .no ...It wasn't supposed to go like this."

She stepped toward Xander again, eyes wide with something too wild to be love.

"I gave up everything for you," she whispered.

"Do you understand that? Because I knew you'd come back to me. I knew we'd be together in the end."

Xander’s eyes burned with fierce fire as his voice cut through the tension, sharp and cold.

“I was never yours. Not once. Even if Arianna hadn’t come back, my heart always belonged to her—and only her.

Arianna’s betrayal—it was all your twisted game, a sick setup to keep me chained to you... and away from her. But she was my destiny, and no matter what you did, she came back.

You thought you could control me, bend me to your will with lies and manipulation. But you underestimated one thing: my love for Arianna is stronger than your poison. It always was.

You’re nothing but a ghost from my past, a shadow I’ve finally broken free from. So don’t ever come near us again—or next time, I won’t hold back.”

"No," she whispered, her voice catching.

"No, don't say that. Don't you dare say that?"
