Chapter 26

LUTHER'S POV

The video was everywhere, video of our engagement was going crazy on the internet.

I smile looking at my phone, this is exactly the kind of attention we needed.

"Hey, Luther". I hear Gary call, I was waiting for him in a dark alleyway

"So, did you get them?".

He nods "Yup, they are still rookies but they do have a clean background".

" Good then, it's about time we had guards around her, now that the public is aware of her situation ".

"True, but why do you draw attention from them then? if it's risky why make everything public?".

" let's say the best way to catch a mouse is simply putting a piece of cheese in an open room, what he doesn't know is the cat is just around the corner".

"Wow, you are terrible at this".I smack the back of his head " ouch!" he whines

"You deserved it, I would like them to resume as soon as possible, thank you for your help".

He grinds "What are friends for? I do owe you big time"

"Yea you do, don't worry I will save you a special seat at our wedding, in the meantime, we have an engagement party to plan, oh, and don't forget to pass the word to your boss, I'll love to see him ". I smirk at him

He laughs "You trouble maker, only if Violet knows the dangerous side of you, be careful though, Jesse is as crazy as he seems".

" Good thing I'm crazier then". I walk away 







                      VIOLET'S POV

"I think I like the idea of red ribbons better, or what do you think?". 

The party planner responds "I think so too, it's very elegant". 

"Good then". She walks away, leaving me alone in the garden.
I let out a sigh, so it's happening again, I'm getting married for the second time, I never imagined myself in this position.

Luther's proposal came as a surprise, I didn't expect him to go that far, thinking about it just makes me smile for some reason. 
We decided to host an engagement party, and if I'm, to be honest, it's giving me so much anxiety.

" Hey you," Luther said catching me by surprise

"Oh, hello". I said rather awkward

I hear him chuckle "Is that how you greet your soon to be husband?".

 I feel his hot breath on my face, which makes my heart suddenly skips a beat,  indeed he was really close  " W-what do you-ou want me to call you then?". I hiccup. I cover my mouth. This is so embarrassing

I feel him get closer, I almost lose my balance trying to take a step back "How about, you call me-". 

" Cake is here!" I hear Amanda Exclaim "oh, sorry did I interrupt something?". I'm sure our position right now looks rated PG " oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean-".

"No!" We both exclaimed Luther and I separate from each other.

"Are you sure, I can just come back later"

Luther jumps in" it's not what you think, you said the cake was here, where is it?".

"Oh it's in the dining room, it's really big. Oh my the garden looks great, this is where you plan on having your party? it's splendid, but, where is the party planner?".

I sigh " She didnt have red ribbons, she went to get some, the rest of her crew went on break, they'll be back soon".

"Ah I see....oh, I got the dress, it's beautiful, you'll look dashing tomorrow night".

I smile at her "Thank you, I trust your judgment"

Luther clears his throat "I can't wait, I can only imagine how beautiful you'll look tomorrow, Violet". 

I get this weird feeling again, why does his words have such an effect on me these days " likewise". I said rather blunt

"Alright then, I'll leave you ladies to it, I'm going to work on the invitations, and maybe hopefully talk my mother into attending, God help me". He gives me a quick rub on the shoulders and walk away.

"Why are you smiling?". Amanda asked with a cheerful tone

I wear a serious face" What do you mean?, I wasn't ".

" You were".

I clear my throat "Well, I, oh, the party planner is back".

" I don't see-". I try my best to walk away as fast as I can "to think I almost believed a blind person could suddenly see".







                       JESSE'S POV


" I don't believe this" Benita said barging into my office

"What is it now?" She puts her tablet on my table

"What is she up to now?". I take the tablet and I see an invitation to an engagement party

I scoff  "Is this some kind of joke?".

"If she remarries it won't become such a big deal right?, I mean you haven't even divorced her yet, so she's still legally married to you".

I scratch the back of my head, giving the tablet back to her "She sent divorce papers but I declined, so we are meeting with the lawyer after her engagement party".

"What's going to happen?".

"There's no way I'm giving her what she wants, we are going to attend that engagement party, this whole thing could be a charade anyway, knowing Violet, there's no way she can easily fall for another man".

Benita sighs " if you're that confident then, there will be a lot of reporters, we better put on the impression that we are happy for them, then proving their relationship is fake could be our next step".

I smile at her "it all makes sense right? she tells me she wants to take back what belongs to her father, and we know the easiest way of doing so is by divorce, our marriage is what put me in this position in the first place".

Benita nods " True, but that doesn't mean it can take it away, right now Violet's choice is a nobody, I can easily dig out information about him ruining their chance, it's a piece of cake. let's just go with the flow for now, with that being said, I better go prepare my dress". I watch her walk away.

Violet, is this really how you want to go about it? is remarriage that easy for you?.




      

                       VIOLET POV
 

I can't believe I spent the whole day with the party planner, at least it kept me busy. 

I turn on the shower, I start washing my hair, suddenly I hear something drop, the sound came from my bedroom. "Hello?". There were no responses, I get kind of scared. 

I turned off the shower, with soap still on my hair I take my towel and my bathrobe. "Luther?". Still no response. I suddenly hear the door creak, I turn in that direction. Someone was definitely in here, I try my best to run "Hey get back here!". I rush out of my room, I swing my staff around hoping to hit the person, but I feel no one around.

I go into Luther's room and quickly shut the door but my bathrobe gets caught on the door, I forcefully pull it out, that wasn't a wise choice. my bathrobe opens up and I suddenly fall bumping into someone, no doubt Luther, we both land on the floor. 

He was wet, seems like he was taking a shower. I could feel his heartbeat on me, it felt like it was taking me up and down, his skin so soft. My left hand was on his chest, and the other hand was on something, it was weirdly warm and tender, I grab a hold of it, almost like a- fuck. my eyes widen when I realize it. 

Luther's freaking naked, and mybreasts were literally touching his bare chest.and I just held his freaking dick.
