Chapter 45

LUTHER'S POV

Violet's father's room, looking at it I remember the good old days, 7 am and 8 pm every day I always came in here to report Violet's situation to him. 

I let out a sigh as I drop my stuff on the floor, I open my bags and placed all my clothes in the wardrobes, after settling down I lay on the bed starring at the ceiling, there's one thing Violet's father kept for her, and he kept it for a good reason to protect her and I swore I was never going to tell her.

I will protect Violet at all cause. suddenly the door bursts open, and Violet walks in with Amanda by her side.

My eyes widen seeing Violet on a red lacy sexy nightwear 

"Wha-what is going on here?". I ask nervously jumping out of bed

Violet sheepishly plays with her fingers, her face was already as red as a tomato

Amanda responds with a sassy tone " isn't it obvious? I wanted to make your first night at home feel special so I got this as a wedding present for Violet". Amanda helps Violet sit on the bed, I adjust myself a bit further from her. "You don't have to be shy about it, I'll leave you both to it, be gentle okay? don't keep us all up". Amanda laughs as she walks out and closes the door.

I look at Violet who looks very much uncomfortable, she folds her arms to hide her exposed chest. I toss the blanket in her direction "Here, you'll catch a cold". 

She mutters" Tha-thank you".  

"So-uhm, opened the wedding presents yet?".

She shakes her head " No, just one, Amanda's, but I'll do so in the morning".

"Alright" I take a pillow and put it between us "Just in case".

" Huh?" She asked confused.

"I put a pillow between us, boundary".

"OOh...Okay". We both sigh 

" Hey, remember when you were little and you asked me to marry you?".

Violet covers her face with her hand out of embarrassment "Why did you remember that! I was a kid, funny how It recently came to me".

I chuckle "I was flustered back then, I never had anyone propose to me before".

She scoffs "Oh please, what about Lana?".

"She's an exception". We both giggle. " I never thought I'll ever get married to my young lady".

"Well, it won't be for long anyway, we should call it a night". She covers herself with the blanket and curves into a ball

" uhmm, yea". I turn off the light. well, that was kind of awkward.





                       VIOLET'S POV


"Good morning," I said entering the dining room

The guards all greeted "Good Morning ma'am".

" Morning ma'am".

"Why are you up so early?" Amanda ask surprised "I could've served you breakfast in bed". She leads me to a chair 

I smile at her "it's okay, I wanted to have breakfast with you guys for a change".

She playfully hits me "Oou...are you feeling flustered about last night?". 

"What do you mean?".

Leo clears his throat to get our attention " Amanda maybe Violet doesn't want to talk about it, could you maybe change the subject?".

Amanda jumps it "Nonsense! go ahead, he was all over you right? Ooou that red lace looked good on you".

I smile sheepishly " I guess".

"Why don't you take off your robe and show everyone".

" No!" we all exclaimed 

"I just meant a quick peek, no need to come for my head. Anyway tell us how it went, it was awfully quiet last night, let me guess, Luther isn't that good?".

I was about to say something when I hear "Luther isn't that good at what?".Luther asks catching us by surprise, he kisses me on my cheek " Morning sweetie". I just smile

Amanda gasps "Save it for the bedroom".

Luther takes a seat next to me " What's for breakfast I'm so hungry, Violet took all of my energy last night". My eyes widen

Amanda giggles "Oh really, then I better make something heavy". She giggles again.

Why did Luther have to say something embarrassing?

After breakfast Luther had to leave to go somewhere.

So I finally decided to open my wedding presents.

The guards and Amanda were all with me. " Amanda tells me what the gifts are while I unwrap them "And this is a rice cooker....from Alvin, thank you". 

" Thank you, Alvin".

"You're welcome".

I open the next one "A lava lamp, beautiful, and also not thoughtful, the only female guard and yet you don't get your boss is blind and won't be able to see the beautiful colours!" Amanda exclaims

"Forgive me I didn't think". She pleaded

" it's fine Amanda, it's okay, I love it, thank you, just because I can't see it doesn't mean others can't too and enjoy it". I take another one and  I unwrap it.

Amanda suddenly gasps "wow, these are beautiful, beautiful heels, and they are from, oh wow Leo I had no idea you had a taste".

I smile "Thank you, Leo".

" I want you to have only the best ma'am".

Amanda suddenly squeaks "Oouu Leo....Violet is a married woman now, too late shooting you shot".I unwrap the next one "Wow...this bag is so beautiful!....is from Lexi Boiler, of course, she got style.."

"Remind me to thank her when next I bump into her".

" sure thing".

I unwrap the next one, it was kinda small, and felt familiar "What is this?" I ask curiously

"It's an...ID cane, ma'am". My eyes widen

"I-ID cane?". 

" There's even a note". I hold my chest, my heart starts to beat rapidly

"Even the bravest bats can't see during the daytime, I hope you last longer this time. What does that mean? I thought some bats can see during the day but-"

Leo cuts her off  "It's a threat!".

 I try standing up but my legs suddenly feel numb 

" are you okay?". Leo asks concerned.

It's just an ID cane was sent back then as well.
